It's so much more interesting and disturbing with the legs. The original design was awesome but not having any real legs made it look slightly boring on the lower half.
It's only a matter of time before one of them bendables gets inevitably impaled through the leg by the wire and all the other monsters have to take care of it in the monster nursing home
Turns out I had (and still have somewhere) bendable rodan, and funniest thing I didn't even realized it up until now, I wasn't know about rodan when I was little, it was just funny dinosaur toy my grandmother bought me 🤣 and only now I realized what gathering dust somewhere in the attic
I had the hatching egg Mothra! In fact, it was pretty much the only Godzilla toy I had as a kid, which I think is mostly to blame for why Mothra is my favorite monster, because of course I would want to root for the one I actually had a toy of!
Oh man, these take me back! When I was little I'd play with all my bendies at the same time. I kept them all together in a bag. I had a couple Zillas but most of the toys were weird, long rabbits from Easter. 😂 It made for some interesting playtimes. They got played with until wires started popping out. Good times...good weird times...

My parents bought me a lot of Trendmasters toys when I was 9. I remember getting the eggs and the original three micro battle sets. Boy do I wish I took better care of those toys haha. I do still have the micro battle monsters thankfully!

I wish I was born a little bit sooner so I could’ve enjoyed Trendmasters various Godzilla toys. As a kid I only had the 4 inch Godzilla with the lights and sounds. The bendable figures were my first introduction to the Trendmaster toys in the 90's, my local hardware store had them (small town no chiamart) I had no idea there was other toys coming out, I worked all summer to collect them all, Mecha Godzilla was my favorite as before I only had the imperial I got in the 80's.

I had bought the bendable Ghidorah a few months ago when I found it at a flee market. Unfortunately it seems I did not pick up the glossy one but- hey for one of my first Trendmaster items, I loved it
Great video as always MIB! The bendable Mothra and the hatched Godzilla were two of my first Godzilla toys (though the Action Walking Godzilla was the very first). I have very fond memories of them. I've since collected everything featured in this video except the bendable MOGUERA and they're all great (even if some of the poses are a bit off). Fun fact! The hatched Godzilla you have is the second of two sculpts; there was an earlier sculpt which was a bit chunkier and had more "baby-ish" proportions. Not sure why they switched them. Personally I prefer the earlier sculpt, but both are still great. The second sculpt got a black re-release in a mountain case for Godzilla Wars. I actually received a resin cast of the first sculpt from an original production mold as a gift from designer Jeff Bergeron and it's one of the most prized pieces in my collection. Fun fact #2! The eggshells (though not the figures themselves) were copyright date-stamped 1993, making them technically the earliest Trendmasters sculpts (everything else with a date shows 1994 or later).

Biolante is my favorite of the bendable toys. With some practice and patience along with a custom base of plant roots to attach to it you could get a nice tiny biolante display.
I had both Rodan & Mothra (bendable) as a kid, but I'm not entirely sure where I got them. I think Rodan was in a random bin at a dollar store if you can believe it. I didn't know they were Trendmasters, and I didn't even know they could bend until today lmao They're gone now, though.
A couple of years ago I got picked up a bendable MechaGodzilla complete on the card. I did not leave it in the packaging (I dunno, a toy that never gets played with just seems sad to me). It came with a small soldier and a tank. Then a little while ago I picked up the powered up bendy Godzilla (loose). I like the powered up one a bit more than the green one. It looks a bit more accurate to the movies. I really like them. Never seen the eggs before, but they're certainly on my radar now. I really want a Rodan egg.

I was born in the late 90s so I unfortunately did not grow up with these bendables or eggs. My only childhood Godzilla toys were the Bandai American vinyls releases and I even still have them lol. A shame too I think 4 year old me would’ve loved these trendmasters toys!

Now I actually know where he's from. I don't have the egg sadly, I think he was a yard sale grab from when I was a kid.

Am I the only Godzilla collectable fan who has reoccurring dreams of seeing Trendmasters or lines of Godzilla toys that were super rare in the stores? Either new expanded versions of hatching monsters with new kaiju or even mini toys like gashapons or even more cities for the micro battle playsets? Lol
I had a Godzilla hatchling as a kid. I did have it as an adult but it when missing. I didn't have many of the Trendmasters toys. A few double pack figures and the 6 inch Mothra, MechaGodzilla (and some years later a Super Charged Godzilla) but that was it. I got into Godzilla around late 1996 to 1997 and there was only one local toy shop that had the Trendmasters KofM line which by then they were practically bargain bin fodder.
Oh man these look fantastic! I'm surprised at how bendable they seem to be! There's bendable figures out there that barely move and stay in the position you gave them.
A lot of the trendmasters godzilla action figures honestly look incredible in my opinion. Most likely the best toy versions of godzilla and other toho kaiju you could get at the time aside from the bandai figures. Sure some look very different from their onscreen counterparts but you can tell that these are solid toys. They did not half ass them.
I do have the bendy Godzilla and rodan and they're a blast to play with makes me wish I grew up with these toys and love the video as always never to make my day when you upload

Theres also Tokyo Vinyl line of their figures, They cancelled Godzilla 1954, King Ghidorah and Minilla because of poor sales of the line! Man minilla figure looks so odd to me.

What I always wanted to get but never did were the successors to the hatching eggs, the Mountain Case figures for Godzilla Wars. Something about that Anguirus... had to have it, never did. Line also has Supercharged G, SpaceGodzilla, and Moguera.
Biollante having legs just looks so... off even though she's had actual legs in her concept art and maybe that's where the Trendmasters possibly got the idea from.

I had plenty of Trend Masters Godzilla toys, but I don't remember the bendies. I guess my K-B didn't carry them. I had the eggs though. Godzilla, Mothra and Mecha-Godzilla. They were fun little figures but I just left them out of the eggs.
I hear the toy type as "Bendables" or "Bendies" and I already recoil in disgust at how sticky these things tended to get. Not sure about these, never had them, but EVERY Bendies type toy I ever had got sticky within a few months of being open. Also, not surprised there weren't Godzilla Bobbleheads in the mid-90's. That was more a turn of the millennium fad. I remember that's what Funko released before Pop figures. And those egg hatch toys. McDonalds had a Jurassic Park promotion a couple years ago that had something similar. I got a couple of those, and it was a pain in the ass to put those eggs back together.

For years, that bendy Godzilla with the dark green paint job was the only Godzilla figure I owned! A lot of memories with that guy!
