Guys its coming along nicely. Very cool to see your ways you work and figure it out as you go. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friends. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Stunning to see your vision emerge. Reassuring that you are honest about the fits and starts and minor backtracks. Inspiring to see your persistence. Thanks.
From South Africa. Recently found your channel and I am loving it. Binge watched the last few months. Couldn’t stop 😂 The Racer is an amazing build, and I can’t wait to watch it to completion. Also really looking forward to the Ford Roadster build. Thank you so much and please continue recording for us, it is very informative and entertaining.
I really enjoy the longer format of your videos. You have a good balance of explaining what you are doing and then showing us . The project is looking great. Thanks
This is looking amazing Jordan, really interesting to see how you work through problems or bits that haven't worked/or you're not happy with. A real work of art thanks for letting us watch the process. Thought about curving the rear chassis to match the body line like you have in the front. Then the push bar could be mounted to it.
Looking good Jordan, I wasn't expecting a couple of rear guards to form the back end, great idea that has saved a heap of time shaping metal and they really look the part. Cheers
Definitely has helped shape what I was going for, lots more to do but hopefully by the end of the week I’ll have it all welded up and start the steering etc
Bloody hell Jords, the way the car is turning out it would be shame to risk damage racing it. Why not strap a board to the side of it, and head to Margaret River to catch a few curls? Joking of course, but I can't wait to see it finished and on the track.
looking great. I'm curious why you didn't bring that new piece all the way to the front and bead roll the step in it like you did for the bottom piece originally. I thought it would saved a lot of time welding and smoothing.
I have a similar project. I took the cowl/firewall section from a 1980 Jeep CJ7 and had my friend Ray cut about 12” out of the center making it about 24” wide.
I’m a little behind but it’s looking awesome Jordan! I really like the dropped body line . Seems to me Karl had a tool to finish a bead roll . Carry on 👊🏻
When your sheet metal joint is as tight as you have it on your extensions you don't need any filler wire. By fusing the joint with just the stinger you have a much neater weld.
She's coming together real nicely Jordan good job bud. good job! She's gonna look fantastic when she's finished. Hey, Jordan I recommend where you've made the line on the side of the new panel with the bead roller make a round circle with the bead roller at the end of the line, to finish it off and make it about two inches round if you can that would look awesome, that's my suggestion. Cheers bud.
love your tenacity. I was thinking however, people have done bullet butts before, I think you should make it a pickup bed. A tiny, very skinny pickup bed. Plenty of time.
Nice work Jordan. Major hurdle in the build I’d say . Things will hopefully be smoother from this point.Body line worked out well. I’m looking forward to your next video.
Jordan, I've noticed you cut all your sheet with angle grinders. Gee you must go thru heaps of blades. Have you thought of getting/ using a set of hand shears??? Whilst I don't buy from Hare & Forbes (I personally prefer Beverley shears) they do sell the Ehoma brand of shears and mine work dam well. Anyway just a thought. Keep up the great build.
@@bennettscustomsco Yes I've got mine set up at my rolling bench height and on a pivoting post with a pivoting base plate so I can push it out of the way then pull it up rotate the shear to I can cut by using my rolling bench and do 2400mm long cuts, if need be. I think I have it all drawn up to. Oh have you an opportunity to read my last message about contacts out in the wheat belt on farms for old trucks????
just trying to be helpful you can get seamless joints by doing it that way and the wholes can be leaded in to do it right and save money on body putty you can weld 'em in but that's much harder to grind and if you are working with really thin stuff wielding is prone to blowing holes in it. welding rod is often much harder than your metal after welding meaning you can grind right through the work there is a reason the old timers used lead. butt joining the panels is a much nicer look. especially when a project is aerodynamically critical. rolling the edges over and butting them will make it easier you can stitch weld it and then lead it in. welding rods costs money. planning a project out will keep your consumables down. grinding and sanding will do the trick after, hell you can ever solder it if you can find the right size and shape for the application. 27:58 body panels can even be structural with a little extra work. it's called sub-framing. If you want a project to be rattle free is the only way to go. threaded rod can be used to fill the wholes as well to give it a cleaner look but that can get pricey as a consumable in the long run. obviously, it has to be sized compatible with the whole size. as far as the structural part bending a dimple dieing the work is smart on streinth and weight savings. it's harder to add than subtract take too much away though and bang you gotta start over.
Great work incorporating the finders on the back you created solid look here. I understand your channel is still so new, but can you work on making audio consistent between talking and music? It needs to keep being adjusted down for background and up when you talk :-/
I'd leave the decision for the body line finishing touch until after the windscreen is in. Once you know its rake, copy a small barb / arrowhead / (point) on the body line to mimic screen rake. I watched this and made me think you need a bump spot for your helmet..... Don't get whiplash Dude. th-cam.com/video/52NYh0hD2cI/w-d-xo.html Old mate was OK and he still had a good time, but that's millimetres away from damage.
HINT: break up 2 hours of video into 4 (or even 6!) videos. Get more views overall - I started watching, but can't watch it all - so end up missing out on most of it because it's not going to show up on my feed now because YT thinks I ''watched'' it.
So much talking spoils the content. Would be much better to see the speeded-up video slowed back down to properly demonstrate the work you’re doing - rather than the endless narration. Other than that, absolutely great work… all 12 minutes of it.
this is coming together quite nicely my friend! thanks for the shout out! i'm one of the boys! wohoo! haha
One of the boys!
Killer killer killer!!!! Love the long form content dude keep it up!!!
Jump on a flight and come help me 😁
and I much prefer short 20 minute videos, not much TV time here :(
Lol at the boogie board...nice one mate. Another stellar vid man.
Ben forgot he had it! Bloody relic
Very Kool Jordan .
Looks killer. Now go go go!!!
Work of art! What a vision you have.
Big job... Nice. Bruno from France
Love the attention to detail on you're build.. incredible

Most definitely, no manual or instructions here I just ride by the seat of my pants haha

Awesome. No hiding what it takes to build a project like this.
RAC Garage is an awesome channel, such good work
Lookin cool Jordan. I am loving this project mate
Nice progress, over the hurdles. It is going to be a showcase piece for the shop.
Sure hope so!
What a job, absolutely brilliant, a credit to you.
Thank you Frank!
Looking good!
The card board really showed it well.
Yes it looking much better too! I’ll have some for the next video
Such a great episode. I learned a lot from this, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This vehicle is second only in style to the boots you guys are wearing. Epic footwear gentlemen
Red wings. Only boot I could only imagine to work in. 15 years strong!
good work bloke...she started to look like vintage dirt speedway racer
Not long now!
Hot tub time machine! Lookin coool! ;)
Epic episode! ! Great work and showed us the real struggle and the triumph
Thank you Greg
loving this build, keep up the good work sir
Thank you sir!
Please leave the bullet holes in the fire wall!!! Badass haha
It looks so good.
Great job Jordan, looking forward to the next instalment!!
Thank you Paul!

Thank you Andy, really appreciate that. Yes definitely going to take some details from the grill and lines and apply it to the back forsure!
Very nice work with the rivets! I believe that is your style
It’s very riveting
Very nice job Jordan that body line definitely looks good Travis from
RAC Garage is a nice guy I love watching him
He certainly is
Splendid work.. You really have foreignness and ability! Top 🙂
Looking fantastic Jordan.
58 days means lots of late nights I bet.
Early mornings long days and longer nights. But the fuel is full!
Fantastic work! I just found your channel. I have always dreamed of building something similar but with Model A power. Keep up the great work.
Looking good Jordan, I wasn't expecting a couple of rear guards to form the back end, great idea that has saved a heap of time shaping metal and they really look the part. Cheers

Those side panels look great, looking like a pro racer 🤣😂 all the best to yous and your loved ones

It's looks like a winner 🏆 excellent 🍺
I have a similar project. I took the cowl/firewall section from a 1980 Jeep CJ7 and had my friend Ray cut about 12” out of the center making it about 24” wide.
That’s about exactly what this is 24”
I’m a little behind but it’s looking awesome Jordan! I really like the dropped body line . Seems to me Karl had a tool to finish a bead roll . Carry on 👊🏻
Yup a simple punch works well to finish offs head roll, unfortunately it doesn’t work for a step
@@bennettscustomsco ya true enough ...
When your sheet metal joint is as tight as you have it on your extensions you don't need any filler wire. By fusing the joint with just the stinger you have a much neater weld.
I chase with filler while fusing in case a hole comes through
You can use heavy leather punch grinding down one side to put a rounded finish to bead. Or pull a Karl trick of hammer form pointed end
That’s usually my go too but because it’s a ‘step’ it’s a just a bit different.
She's coming together real nicely Jordan good job bud. good job! She's gonna look fantastic when she's finished.

I’ll draw it up forsure! Going to have a few different options
Love the X rated grille insert...!
It’s my favourite
@@bennettscustomsco What's the story on the grill shell insert???????!!!!!
being a lefty myself, the first thing i do is remove the guard on a grinder lol great work and love the videos
Haha definitely!
SWEEEEEEEET 👍👍😎👍👍
Lookin good man, real good.
Cheers Matt!
Great progress, what's the back story on the snatch sign on the wall?
Was a hotdog joint in town and they sold up. I was fortunate enough to acquire the Sign!
love your tenacity. I was thinking however, people have done bullet butts before, I think you should make it a pickup bed. A tiny, very skinny pickup bed. Plenty of time.
I do need a load of fire wood!
Great Video, and Work.

Thanks again Dennis
Loved the video! Are my eyes deceiving me or do you have a Holley and a stromberg on the flattie?
Mock up!
Nice work Jordan. Major hurdle in the build I’d say . Things will hopefully be smoother from this point.Body line worked out well. I’m looking forward to your next video.
You’re right Gary!

On the wish list! Shears and a guillotine! Hopefully next month.. when I’m finished all the sheet metal 😂

don't mess with the Side profile it's spot on with a Arrow Speed Racer 100% has the look .

Dude, people talk crap but damn near every tool is designed for right handed folks, us lefties have to improvise or modify everything!
Right!
would love to see the finish build
Same
Okay, now I'm going to have to go back and watch the earlier parts of the build. Love watching the artistry unfold.
Make some popcorn!
What rear fenders did you use for this ?
46/47 mercury
Don't mention the radiator cover on the wall, you know the one i mean lol
Wait till next week when she’s glowing!
How do the big rivets ficin? Like that look.
Why don't you fabricate a left hand guard for your grinder?
Don’t need one
Hahaha special guest HamBone
