I am so excited when you post a new video. Between the commentary, music, workmanship, editing I could go on and on. So fun to watch the progress on a cool project. Fan for life.
Those bottom subframe rails finish the body so well. You have some patience with the calendar going by you are still doing the build right, great to watch.
Really coming together now! Love seeing all the updates and the work behind every stage. The car looks super cool, can't wait to see what you do with paint!
Great to watch your brain in action. It really highlights the importance of having the vision upfront, and then being flexible enough to deliver a consistent outcome as the build progresses. Lets hope those yabbies are done before Day 1 at Perko.
Yeah for sure - you can almost make it up as you go as long as the overall vision is in place. Which it's clear you do. Loving this build - look forward to seeing it in the flesh.
Like your work and pick up lots of ideas here and there. I have not quite started but working towards making a video series of building a 1934 woody wagon. I have everything there to build the body just working how it will be filmed and my tig welding skills and equipment. Keep up the good work.
Greetings from South Africa. Again what an amazing video. Absolutely love watching your progress. Such an amazing skill and talent. Can’t believe how those separate pieces came together so seamlessly, to make such a beautiful body. Look forward to the next week. Keep them coming.
@@bennettscustomsco I look at the car and it reminds me of the 1937 Hillegas Special, with a nicer looking frame and front grill I love it and can’t wait till the next episode 👍
such a bummer that Bonneville got rained out this year, we had no where near the Journey that your mates had. so disappointing! car is looking great, I cant believe the planishing hammer takes out that much distortion. great work!
Loved this episode content and music. 'Chase the chips / Remove the swarf', per a few British brain drain engineers I worked with in the Puget Sound, circa 1990's. These were their favorite sheet metal reminders.
Another suggestion if I may... when you are welding sheet metal panels, "stitch weld" and keep an air hose in your reach. "Stitch weld, cool with air hose, move a few inches, repeat" Yes, it takes a bit longer but at the end of the day you won't have to deal with nearly as much warping of the panels.
Definitely something I do when mig welding or welding in an area where can can’t get to the back of, but in this case it’s actually better to do one pass and come back with the hammer and dolly
Excellent work again Jordan, the formed angle will be strong and keep the weight down at the same time. I personally wouldn't worry about the blisters unless you need the room inside, once the pipes are in place it will look the part. Any plans for a small wind deflector on the cowl ? Cheers
Great work on your “sub rail’. Funny how such a small part can have such a strong impact. How about a complimentary piece? Use the same idea for the upper perimeter strengthening structure you talk about doing.
I wish you were around in my day, could had you build some neat cars instead of the daggy ones available then. The racers coming along beautifully, love to see it racing!
Please no elbow-blisters unless they are absolutly necessary for you too fit in the car, the exhaust will take care of that area for you and brake up that big flat place. Love this build, keep it up! Cheers from Oscar in Sweden.
Have you checked to make sure there is room for the fuel tank and some sort of a seat. Looks like there may be some interfence with your back. Love the understated look.
well side blisters could be the answer for 2 problem , one is arm room , but leave the fronts open and then they become air vents and you have a little bit of air conditioning relief since you will be straddling the engine .
G'day from North of the river😉 Subtle yet elegant, and pays homage to the kiss theory. ( in my case dad said keep it simple Steve, rather than stupid).
This is my favourite project on TH-cam, your workmanship is second to none . I especially love the way you've kept the fuel filler cap , can't wait for the next episode 👏🙌👌👍👍👍
Are you going to pie cut the frame and make it follow the body to a point where you could have a push bar horizontal in the middle,? it's looking excellent, can't wait, all the best to you and your loved ones
Rivetting episode 😂😂😂my only area of concern is will water and moisture stand between the subframe gusset you created and the actual body...other than that you spot on mate...the rivet detail makes the body so period correct 👍👍👍
Hello, you have a coca cola sign in the background with Rogers tyre service, Kununurra, Kununurra is in the northern tip of Western Australia, how did you come across that 😀
I think there needs to be transition radius pieces at the intersection of the hood and side panels at the front and rear of the engine "window" . The sharp, 90 degree angles do not match the contour and curves of the car. I wish I could explain it better. Good luck. 👍
@@bennettscustomsco Maybe a complete panel insert (on each side) with a cutout having the radiused internal corners. The cutout would allow a clean exit for your headers (zoomies? haha) but still provide a good view of the engine. Maybe have some rolled horizontal lines that would match existing lines on the main chasis. Hmm.. I suspect you already have something like that in mind. Whatever you do, I'm sure it'll look great.
When you’re shrinking try not to push down to hard with you foot the harder you push the more aggressive it is love the vids man it’s looking amazing love it
Drill bit stuff = swarf!!!!!! With that strip set up it would look nice having a floor pan connecting to that which would lock the body creating a single tub format then with 6 bolt points or so the body could fix down to your chassis. Just saying.
...why are u not just hammer the rivets like they supossed to be...this are rivets, not "welding stuts" or who u would cal them??? Love your work but didn´t get the rivet thing
the bottom trim line is a classic design love it .

Creative and quite a craftsman. Keep the videos coming.
Another outstanding episode. Thanks for your awesome effort that you put into these. I wish I had the skills that you have. Cheers mate!!!!
Thanks Kevin! Much appreciated
Great drill tip! looking awesome mate!
Neat little trick with the rubber hose on the drill bit. Haven't seen that before, and will try next time. Thanks for that.
Definitely saves the metal!
Fantastic work! Keep moving forward!
Hey Jordan, looking good, rivets are a nice touch...Ralph
Great tip on using the piece of hose as a drill depth-stop. 👍

Can’t cut any corners. For now haha
Great look!

Killing it! Keep it up Jordon!
A cowl and 2 fenders and you turned it into a awesome race car body. Love the videos.
Thanks Stanley, funny where it started!
that looks great kind of aircraft like . you and karl are great guys with great talent.
Thank you Jay!
Another great Ep Jordan, keep em coming. It's really taking shape
As always, very nicely done.
Thanks Carl
You are a real class act . I'm loving it.
Nice Job Jordan car's really coming along nicely. Looks really good.
Thank you kindly.
It does look good, love the rivets!
Looking killer mate ,it’s coming together!
Another great video Jordan. It’s looking good!!!
the kids got a intro reel folks!
Beautiful work 🍺
I could not really see what you where thing off at the start of the body, but wow it looks incredible. Cannot wait for the next one.
Cheers Frank

I just roll with the ideas and hope they turn out what I have pictured in my head haha

Looks amazing. Thanks for the drill bit bumper tip. I never saw that before and it is simply brilliant solution. 👍👍😎👍👍
Definitely saved my butt a few times!
Damn, you make it look easy. It's going to be a fun little racer when done. Oh yeah, your wall art cracks me up!
Hahaha some great pieces floating around the shop
Jordan very nice job looks great with the rivets in the frame by the Rear spring
Thanks John

Cool love the car it's going to look awesome. Keep videos coming👍
Getting super excited to see this in primer. Looking great Jord👍🏻👍🏻
Me too! Hopefully next week
Ready for take-off! An impressive build.
Thank you Julian
Tidy work mate- road trip in order I feel 😎😎
Let me know!
Yes im enjoying your channel. Car looking great
Thanks Paul
absolutely beautiful. Fab on. weld on. keep making. god bless.
Love it nice work ,can’t wait to see how you will finish the rear frame and maybe a push type bumper
Tossing a few ideas together!

Beautiful song.

Very similar! Thank you
Those rivets look great 👍
Thanks Michael

Yes I have a few different options I’ll try and see what looks better
Reference elbow blister.
Best practice is to let function dictate form.
If you need room for your elbows .. put in a blister.
I hear yeah! Will see how we go once the seat is in
Great work on your “sub rail’. Funny how such a small part can have such a strong impact. How about a complimentary piece? Use the same idea for the upper perimeter strengthening structure you talk about doing.
Did think about it but I have an idea for Upolstery that will take care of that
That auto is truly a work of art.
Thank you Jaime
Metal is clay to quote Wray shaline
You can hammer dolly out those wrinkles you may have to go a second round of shrinking
You can get it smooth
Yeah I ended up getting a ton out which was nice!
I wish you were around in my day, could had you build some neat cars

Nope all mocked up. Fits perfect, even room for the matter too

5 days to go! Next one is a good one
great music! better wok!
it looks like its moving standing still its lookin bloody great mate. are you going mount the body on leather to remove the vibration?
Should put in a roll bar like the Shelby Cobra, lot of the old racers had a simple bar to protect drivers head. Nobody plans on accidents. Peace
I’ll mock one up just like that and see what it looks like
Have you built an inside skeleton to support the body and floor yet?
Yes and no, starting too
Terrific work Jordan - love the Canuck /Aussie accent. What colour paint are you thinking?
Hahah! I’m not sure but an early dark maroon or burgundy
Really nice work but, with your timeline, don't worry about the hood, you can do another after race day!
That’s right!
@@bennettscustomsco I thinks your racer is really, as they would have said back in the day... "bitchin'!"!
You've got more patience than me 😆😆😆
Have you got your roadster body into Australia yet???
Not yet, still floating out there on the seas
I think that a leather-covered, padded coaming around the cockpit would look nice, sorta like a WWI fighter plane.
Yeah it’s definitely on the cards forsure!
Are you going to pie cut the frame and make it follow the body to a point where you could have a push bar horizontal in the middle,? it's looking excellent, can't wait, all the best to you and your loved ones
I actually like the straight, but a push bar will be happening
Looking real good, you're very meticulous.
The shrinker tucks that agressive, because the gaps of the dies are in line. Try to turn one, so the gaps faces the opposite dies flat jaws.
Rivetting episode 😂😂😂my only area of concern is will water and moisture stand between the subframe gusset you created and the actual body...other than that you spot on mate...the rivet detail makes the body so period correct 👍👍👍
After it’s been primed and painted it will be sealed.
@@bennettscustomsco Good on you mate
Me agin are you going to fill the gap betwen the frame rail and the back of the body wher it curves in to the bottm of that loveley rear end ??
Yeah will have to finish it off soon!

And the "intuition" song if you know it?

What you call the sub frame is a mounting flange.
Wow that shrinker really crushed that metal, what brand is it?
Machinery house. But I’ve fixed it a bit too. Bit better
Just a suggestion... turn the music down to the same level as your voice. Kind of a pain to keep hitting the volume control! Nice work though!
