That's exciting, congratulations! This couple have the support of each other. However the biggest indicator of young parents succeeding is the circle of support they have. I had my first right out of high school and I have been living on my own for the past 13 years with minimal support. I am almost 31 and I can finally say my life is slowly entering a phase where I feel stable. I had minimal support from my mom and I don't have any extended family but my children and I are doing well.

One of the wonderful thing about it is my my children had a great great grandmother and I see the same for my grandchildren. You have been blessed and you both truly glow with happiness despite the lack of sleep and the amount of work.. Congratulations 🎉 you are all truly blessed. Please try and pay no mind to judgemental people around you. It doesnt matter now and in time people won't even notice. You are doing a fantastic job and when you both were speaking I saw such admiration from both of you. It was clear to see you are a team. Many "older parents" could not manage what the 2 of you are doing and with such positive love. I wish you a life of nothing but happines, even through the tough times. You have a beautiful family. I had my son at 19 and I was 18 while I was pregnant. People are quick to judge and won't listen when they decide to give you life advice. I was at bed, bath and beyond with my mom looking for more comfortable pillows and a random woman approached me while I was looking at things by myself and told me I was giving up any shot at a normal life. At first I was really shocked and then I just asked her if she knew me. She said no so then I asked if she knew how I got pregnant. She just stared and said no so I told her that even though it's none of her business I told her how I got pregnant and that it was from being drugged and assaulted and I told her she should be ashamed of herself for being so cruel to someone she didn't even know. She tried to apologize and I started crying and told her to get away from me. I hope I taught her something that day.

You’re literally judging people by age by saying young parents are more passionate than older parents. I totally disagree. I would say most people who become older parents have been trying for babies for a long time or waited until they were ready to devote everything to their children. I had my first at 30. My mom had me (her only) at 31. Both my husband and my dad were 36 year old dads. I had an amazing childhood and my kids are my everything. Everything I do is for them. I have several friends who struggled with infertility for years to become first time parents in their 30s and they are such obsessed, devoted, loving, and stable parents. I was dating my husband when I was 17- we would have been a DISASTER having kids so young. No financial or emotional stability when you’re young and beginning life. I’ve noticed often when people have children young they end up acting out their missed 20s later on. Not to say all young people aren’t amazing parents- my best friend had her first child at 16 and, 20 years and 2 more kids later, had always always been an exceptional mother. She also had massive support from her family.

The important thing on having babies when you are young, that the father did not bail. They are beautiful, and healthy. My folks got married young. My Dad was 19, and my Mom was 17. In those days, you married the boy you dated on a regular (my folks will be married 68 years in June), AND my grandfather was the Pastor of the church, lol. My Mom birthed between the age of 18 and 33 years old, 7 children.

I loved seeing that the conversation between the father and his father. I feel like that is a big reason as to why he's stayed and did his part. It seems that a lot of young men who don't have a relationship with their own fathers are more likely to bail when they become fathers. I know that it's not always the case but it happens a lot of the time.

Such a lovely family. They are good loving parents and are doing all the right things. They have the energy to make the childrens lives fun. I hope they ignore the hateful comments. As my Granny used to say If you havent got anything nice to say then do not sat anything at all. I wish them all every happiness now and always.

How are they supporting a family of 6 at 19?

I'm glad they seem happy and healthy and I am not judging them at all but I could never do this. I had my son when I was 22 and got judged harshly for being a young parent. I cannot imagine what they go through! I'm almost 40 now and most people I know are just having kids or had them in the last 10 years.
Kudos to them for making sure their kids are happy, healthy, and safe.
