@@524enaud doesn't matter the results are no different than the 6s esc because you're not fitting 4s batteries in those battery compartments, so big epic waste of time. The only benefit for doing this would be maybe a slightly bigger built-in BEC so you could use better servos like say Savox. Personally, both of those esc's suck tits I would've just slapped in a Castle or Hobbywing and called it a day.

Let me know. I was thinking of getting the xmaxx one or a Castle or Hobbywing one. Maybe even a Tekin 8S esc...... those are a lot more expensive I’m sure. Fill me in on the details man thanks !.
Doesn't matter about being an 8s ESC the 8s X-Maxx can run 6s and 8s so only advantage here is you might not heat up the ESC unit on 6s as bad as the 6s ESC unit that comes in the E Revo 2. The stock motor in the E Revo 2 cannot handle 8s so there's that in a nut shell for you.
Well, that’s incorrect. The E-REVO 2.0 Traxxas motor can absolutely run 8S. In fact, I’ve watched TH-cam vids where some put the E-REVO motor in their X-MAXX due to the higher Kv rating and additional punch. Even if he couldn’t run the motor on 8S the VXL-6S ESC is complete garbage. They brick like crazy and overheat. I have two E-REVO 2.0s and both have had their ESC replaced under warranty within 3 months of ownership for bricking or “Programming Error.” I’ve replaced both with Spektrum 150A ESCs and both motors with Spektrum 2050kVs, now the Traxxas junk is sitting in a drawer.
You can search for some 4s lipos like the Gens Ace 4s 5000mah Bashing, which have to be 137 * 41 * 32mm. If they are bigger they will not fit into the E Revo 😉 Good luck while googleing XD

@@posionrc5487 Unfortunately traxxas 8s escs aren't as reliable as hobbywing escs. This is just a known fact, the 8s escs have been known to catch fire in about 50% of people. (weather, gearing, batteries and the batch from the factory that you get are all variables). not saying they don't work for some people. Great//video idea for the e-revo nonetheless😊😊

SpeedSyko they fit in there but doors wouldn’t shut so I had to zip tie them it was only temp to see what 8s is like I think them make slim 4s lipos

protek makes a lcg 4s that's around 4100mah 120c. it's the size of a 2s hard case can be charged at 10c!

James Stubbs sure can handle 8s see videos on it all the time along with reviews of after few runs and everyone says it still running great
