man its crazy how all these roof top tent companies and truck campers are able to stay in business. So many similar products and all crazy expensive in a small market. Some of these designs just look no good in my opinion
In the wake of the pandemic, an unprecedented surge in the demand for these products has taken the world by storm. Though the pace of this demand has eased somewhat in recent times, the allure of embarking on thrilling outdoor escapades continues to soar higher than ever before.
You’re simply uninformed. Yes, a few will go under, but this is not a small market lol. Outdoor recreation is one of the largest markets there is… Also, being perpetually on the internet will have you believe that nobody can afford these, when in reality there are far more rich well off people than you know. Your small world bubble is not indicative of the rest of the country.
I still think Alaskan is one of the best truck campers around. the quality is undeniable and I love their hard size popup concept. The only problem is that they're kind of ugly. They haven't changed the design or updated the electronics in 30 years, so it's definitely way past time for an update.
Good video with a handful of camper brands I hadn’t heard of before. I think the OEV camper was my favorite it’s but probably also the most money. I’m surprised Scout Truck Campers weren’t in this video, maybe they weren’t at the expo though.
You can definitely tell so much of this stuff is skewed for the West, and Intermountain states. The humidity where I live in the upper Midwest/Great Lakes would eat you alive in all but about two of those rigs. Looks like a fun gathering, even if the MSRPs are from another planet. 🤦♂️
As a newbie to all this camper stuff, all I’m seeing is a fee pieces of flat metal, aluminum, some gas struts and and a flimsy tent on top or a bulky metal box with things ill never use. 5,000 for entry is ridiculous with all these Alibaba parts. I’m priced out! Why is no one making a foldable solid panel square tent for a good price? 16,000, 30,000 costs more than the truck I’m putting it on. Hard pass, home depot here i come.
The new channel! www.youtube.com/@WelcomeToTheOutdoors1

Impressive. Good presentations by all. 3 or 4 models I’d find hard to decide which to buy. As we know “needs” change and switching is quite costly.
it's totally unsustainable ... many will fail

I agree. So much money. Simple and cheap is what I want.
Another great video, thanks! Looking forward to the Gladiator build too.
No problem! More to come!
Awesome video… love your videos and expo season

Tbh the Lance rep may have single-handedly given me enough benefits to stop my van build 😭 truck life here we come! 🥳
Honestly though, there are a lot of pros and cons
Lots of great info here, thanks!
Turn on closed captioning for people that have hearing loss.
It is typically enabled. I think its disabled momentarily due to I changed some things in the video. It should be reenabled in a day or so.
Each day we stray further from God

What gets me is some manufacturer's make you jump thru hoops to get an honest price.
I think Supertramp, Kingstar, and Dirtbox Overland are the standouts.
Nice 'table of contents'. Just wish it had retail prices as well.

Yep.
The west is the best!
Hey! Great info. I was wondering if Tune and Harker Outdoors were at the show? Did you get a chance to look at either of them? Thanks!
I don’t think they were at the show. I’ve seen harkers camper before and I do like the concept
What is that unit thats in the background of the AT Overland segment?
If Lance is promoting dropping your TC so that you can explore, a TT is superior. And in that big truck you won’t explore very much…too wide.
What is TT?
@@WelcomeToTheOutdoors I’m assuming it means travel trailer.
You have to be an over paid politician to afford “most” of this stuff…
What about an over paid athlete?
@@WelcomeToTheOutdoors yes
What r the prices????
Where was overland expo west held at ??
Flagstaff Arizona. There are 3 more, pnw, Colorado, and east
@@WelcomeToTheOutdoors Oh.. where is the pnw one held? I'm in eastern Wash. Thanks
Whoever did video why did you not go inside? It was so hard to keep watching.
We will improve for next time!
