    I love your videos, as a child, to visit grandma, I used to ride Dina Olimpico buses with 12-gear manual, with an 8v71 engine... trust me, you do not want your bus to sound like THAT, as a child I was always standing on the stairs of the entrance enjoying the view, but the engine noise was so much all the way to the front that just 1 hr ride got me migraines, Prevost is the best you barely hear the noise of the engine when driving... thanks for your videos.

      What an experience! Can’t imagine 12 gears with an 8V - it probably was really loud getting the right power out to hit the next gear!

      @@CampPrevost, I was a kid, my apologies they were 10 gear not 12, I didn't notice the mistake... well, they never let me drive it obviously but still today buses in mexico for some reason, they like them more manual transmission than automatic, in a few years it will be safe for anyone to drive their RV's all over Mexico, but let's wait for a better government there, I can't wait to drive with my family from Baja California north and south California, to Cancun stopping at the most beautiful places there are, Blessings

    ahhh the struggles of moving are real. I didnt bring my bus to Wyoming cuz it was getting much needed engine area service and parts take forever to ship!. Needed both manifolds, gaskets, bolts etc. Plus might as well change out all hoses air regulator stuff, filters, oil, coolant, check for leaks etc etc. Ill still have to solve my TOAD dilemma ...renting vehicles is atrociously expensive. Will be painting her as soon as my project here in Wyoming is done! Your bus is still beautiful even without a wash!

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Good luck on your engine work - sounds like she’ll be new when your done! I guess there are very few TOAD set up vehicles these days. I got lucky my F150 was one of them.

    I really enjoy watching your videos, we don't have such large mobile homes in Germany and mine is only half as long.

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really think 30-35’ is the perfect length. 45 is almost to much sometimes. Thanks for watching!

      @@CampPrevost How high is the diesel consumption of your mobile home?

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@schwabenkanal it’s about 6.5-7 mpg. Downhill with the wind behind me probably 8!

    • @schwabenkanal
      @schwabenkanal ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CampPrevost That's less than I assumed. That corresponds to about 30 liters per 100 km. We calculate in liters and kilometers. My vehicle, which weighs 7.5 tons, consumes about 4 mpg which corresponds to 15 liters per 100 km.

      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@schwabenkanal I got mine weighed and she’s 50,000 lbs. I guess if you consider pushing 50k lbs at 70mph down the road - 6.5-7 isn’t to bad

    Where do you find a vessel big enough to soak a 45 ft long, 8.5 for wide, and 13 ft tall Prevost, and did you add any other spices or seasoning to your brining mixture?

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว

      They give me a 120v 20 amp cord, so technically no - but I just switch them off anyway. When turned off I don’t think they have any loss. I had them off for 4 months and they came back on to the same percentage. I created a bypass in the coach - and turn off the batteries and inverters and 12v - let them rest, but still have full AC power in the coach. That allows me to run the chassis/start and generator battery tenders. Those batteries are still lead acid.

    Only a 24V battery system? Why not 48V?

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I had to do it from scratch I’d use 48, no question. Since Prevost is all 24v, it only made since. They also already have 2 large 24v alternators in place as well.
