I already have one, but it sitting at my daughter's house until I can come and pick it up. It's ok, I don't have my water system setup yet, but I'm really looking forward it.
Murphy shower, i have seen it before. Nice very nice. I saw a murphy shower with 7 inches of depth and 5 feet, five, of length as per the wife request....exMicrosoft employee. My prefer design, an inflatable tray with inflatable curtains , factory oem, comes down from the ceiling. Connectors for water in and out, and a bildge pumpo for recicling water...we might have to wait 10 years for this oem product...
Good video. How do you avoid marring the deck finish from the handle when deployed? Perhaps I missed something. After 13 years in Sprinters with 7 in a 144" I still prefer a shower deck. I've built two, the first with a motorized valve and options to the BW tank or ground and presently just a 'mud room' version which simply drains out the rear door threshold (I don't use soap.). I admit I've always used (Well, since having to replace 3 door 'detents' in cockpits.) the rear door for access/egress. As poorly designed as the rear deck-threshold-bumper is for access/egress I prefer a door that pivots squarely and less like the 'gull wings' jejeje of the cockpit. My first shower deck cost me ~$600 and they both provide the ability to climb in with dirty footwear during foul weather and rinsing off before entering the cabin proper. If I ever have an extended Sprinter I'll have a full fledged bathroom/mud room with an insulated wall forward to avoid the terrible thermal transfers of the rear doors. But that's just me.
@@shaunwilkens I don't. I could find/take some pics. I never photographed the work belowdeck, only the upper deck and at one point I had pics of the build process. I think Picasa ate those years ago and won't let me dnld them without a fee. I'll look for them tho'.
Shaun, I have been waiting for VanLifeTech's Vertical Bath (aka Recirculating Shower). It may be a while before it ships. I love the fold-away nature of the Tetranvan Folding Shower... How is it?
Hi Shaun Great video. I’m weighing up between a folding or fixed shower in a 144. The only thing that puts me off the folding, is folding away a wet shower curtain. Concerned it will encourage mould/damp smell. Have you found this to be an issue?
I find it’s a good idea to let it hang dry before folding it up. If that’s not an option then I would maybe use a towel to wipe it down before putting the curtain away
Magnetic hooks on outside of your van - hang shower curtain in the sun. Not so great in PNW unless if you have radiant floor heat. Wondering if it comes in other options to black?
It’s fairly spacious inside since the curtain is bigger than the base of the shower. Since the base has magnets it also helps the walls to stay tight and not blow around so much.
No one ever seems to cover the tech specs. Height it raises form the floor: Weight Limits? Weight of the Unit? What is the weight load allowed on the hinge? Sure there were more
The weight limit is up to 250 pounds (probably can hold more) and dimensions of the nested portion of the shower are 21.75” wide by 30.75” tall. The depth is 3.5” but an additional 3.5” behind the back needs to be kept clear for plumbing lines and shower head/hose storage. The dimensions of the outer flange are 23.25” wide by 32.5” tall. Also, they do offer a generous military discount and there is a new 2.1 version out. I hope this helps.
@MatthewNaftzger there's a few examples here and there. Scarlett and Seth on TH-cam have one variation of it as well but they slid theirs from the side vs the front of the kitchen base toe kick. There's 1 or 2 on Jared toccis channel as well
WARNING: MUTE video if you don’t like schizophrenic piano music playing in the background the entire time (why do all youtube videos do this now like its normal)
Too right! I think I'm gonna stick with getting one of those dehyde plastic totes and hanging a shower from the ceiling in that. And then just putting a duckboard in the bottom. it's not like you're gonna leave the shower running continuously in most of these applications anyway. Cause it wastes so much water... basically get wet, Turn off and then turn it back on to rinse the soap off when you're done. No holes in the floor that way too.
A Big NO !! .. that would be horrible 😖 that pan is way too small and that curtain would be sticking to your wet skin while your trying to shower 🤦♀️ I noticed you didn’t do a proper demo because in truth, they’re crap 🤣👍🏽
After seeing the $1700 price tag, I decided to build my own. Great ideal, but crazy expensive for what it is.
It’s definitely not cheap but there’s no way I could replicate this quality. Good on you if you have the skills!
Agreed its amazing but half the price of my van, think I need to learn to weld.
I’m totally with you! The main reason they charge these prices is that people pay it! Not because it’s actually worth the price 🤦🏽♀️
@@girlpowered1696 By definition, it's worth it to the people who pay for it.
More overpriced BS…
This is brilliant! That would fit perfectly where my fridge used to be! And the sink is right above so there’s water available right there! Excited!
Thank you for showing us this product. It is a wonderful idea to gain more functions of home living on wheels.
Wow, that's a fantastic ready-made solution!
At the very start of a total rebuild and I've been eyeing this shower. This review is super helpful, thank you!
Trade design, build time and usable space for ease of installation and cash...sounds like a great trade. 👷🏾♀️
I’ll have this in my future camper van ! I’ll have a Sprinter 144 wheel base so not much room to build a real shower . This is the best portion ! ❤
I highly recommend
Very smart solution. Space saving. Looks good too 😀 This is something I have to look into.
I highly recommend it
Amazing craftsmanship! Your work just keeps getting better ❤
Thanks Emma!
We need more vids of you van!!!!😊
Nice review, I appreciate you including a bit of the installation process!
Thank you!
Looks sweet! Now I know what to put into our home remodel
I’m sure it will be much easier than hiring someone to lay tile!
Yeah it looks like a great idea. But I believe that the curtain has to be dry before being folded back, otherwise it will get moldy.
One hell of a cowboy shower there. Also the writing on this video is exceptionally Good But Tight
Almost as if chat gpt helped me write it ;)
Awesome work! Looks like a quality product.
Definitely is!
Super cool! Most importantly:it works.
Down side, you have to either rip something out of your van or get it beforehand.
Exactly! Definitely need to plan your build around it for best results
Very nice solution!

Wow! Would love to see the 5’5” murphy shower. Maybe someone will see your inflatable shower idea and bring it to market sooner :)
Wonderfully effective ❤
Locked like they make nice work.
They certainly do!
I like it a lot, but can you fold up the curtain right after use? Isn’t there mold issues?
I just discovered your videos. Very good! What are you up to now? Why did you stop doing videos?
a folding piece of metal, a shower head and plastic curtains 1850 bucks. This is a real deal ahah
Very neat!
The van interior looks super nice and clean! Is this your build? 😍
Thanks Myrik! Yes, this is my most recent build. We need to meet up sometime soon. I’m curious what’s going on in your world.
Oh that’s a beauty!!! 😍
Yes please! Let’s catch up soon))

The handle has plastic feet that protect the floor. Would love to see your shower deck. Do you have a video link?

Nice, in-depth review! Curious to know about your folding bed situation?
It’s 3/4” bamboo plywood on a piano hinge. Might do a video about it in the future if there’s interest
Super overpriced !! At that price point I would certainly opt to build one myself and there are many examples online.
Shaun, I have been waiting for VanLifeTech's Vertical Bath (aka Recirculating Shower). It may be a while before it ships. I love the fold-away nature of the Tetranvan Folding Shower... How is it?
The shower is awesome! Hands down the best option for a van in my opinion. The second best would be a floor pan and drop down curtain.
Hi Shaun

Is there one that isn't $1,750?
what wasn't explained: how the water drains, waterproofing around the area it drains, how fast it can be put up with a time test.
How long does it take to dry the shower curtain?
Depends on the environment but it’s pretty quick.
Magnetic hooks on outside of your van - hang shower curtain in the sun. Not so great in PNW unless if you have radiant floor heat. Wondering if it comes in other options to black?
Can you put a sink above the shower cabinet and connect to the same water?
I don’t see why not
Shower curtains take too long to dry. If you put it away wet, its going to get moldy pretty quickly.
Do you find it spacious enough inside? Like is the curtain constantly sticking to your body when you use it?
It’s fairly spacious inside since the curtain is bigger than the base of the shower. Since the base has magnets it also helps the walls to stay tight and not blow around so much.
The price is the only downside..
No one ever seems to cover the tech specs.

@@fernwehchronicle Thank You
@@gotafarmyet4691 - you are very welcome. I just bought one for my van and I’m so excited to get it installed by my son in a few days.
Pricing is just ridiculous… You can a splendid second hand rooftop tent for that…
But can you shower it? ;)
Its nice but I'd rather do a toe kick full extention sliding shower pan under my kitchen counter. It wont cost $1850 thats for sure lol
now googling that ...
@MatthewNaftzger there's a few examples here and there. Scarlett and Seth on TH-cam have one variation of it as well but they slid theirs from the side vs the front of the kitchen base toe kick.

Setting up AND tearing down something EVERY TIME I use it, is not for me.
Why dont they make this where you can just set it up in the middle of the van instead of having to attach it to the wall
They sell a shower pan that you could place in the floor in the center of the build
Kilchis!
It's a nice design, but obscenely overpriced for what it is.
I’m sure they aren’t making obscene profit on this. Unfortunately it takes a lot of money to make something like this.
👍👌❤️🇨🇦
牛!
Are you the owner of the company for sure 😂😂😂 $1800 it’s ridiculous
I wish I was

Honestly I didn’t do a proper demo because I feel like this audience isn’t excited to see my pale chest.
what channel did you do the van tour on? I can't seem to find it on yt.
It’s a private link that can be found through my VL trader ad
