Much more sophisticated than it was almost thirty years ago when I went. It was just after an earthquake and there were huge splits in the roads and paths. The hotels and eateries were basic to say the least but it was a relaxing place to be after Cusco. A little kid dressed as an Inca used to run down the hillside between here and Machu Picchu and would be waiting for the tourist bus on each level as it zig-zagged down the road. He was a bit of a highwayman, collecting money from us while on the bus.
The atmosphere and views are very interesting.... The environment is very nice....with very lush green trees around....a very good place for a vacation....
Great video! We are 3 1/2 years into a long slow journey between Seattle and Ushuaia. We always dig through YT to find info on cities and excursions we want to take. We are headed to Machu Picchu soon and stumbled on your video while doing our research. Loved it! Great job - thanks for the wonderful info! ❤
You guys have such unique pieces of information in your videos, even though you are going to the same places that most youtubers have been to, you guys have unique things to say about those places. it would be great if you made a playlist of your videos by country/city. I am using your videos to plan my trips and it would make it so much easier to watch your videos in a playlist and add them to my map/itinerary
Hi this is Xavienne. Thanks for the info on stamping passport. We were there three weeks ago and didn't have a clue where to stamp our passport. Fortunately I am returning next year I:ll be sure to have it stamped then. Thank you.
You are going to have such an amazing trip!!!! Its such a great area, and we have videos on all those places! 😊 Also.... gotta say we LOVE the Franco Harris airport profile picture! We love the steel city! 😊
We're so glad you found them useful! That makes us so happy! You're going to love your time in Peru, it's such a beautiful country! 😊 When is your trip?
Love hot springs after visiting Japan Hakone. Is Hot Spring circulating from new water for safety and sanitary purpose? It is probably best to go there during cooler months. I love how you give very valuable tips such as time to come to Hot Springs and other, keeping us away from issues. Love to visit Peru from Los Angeles.
Hi Ann Marie! It rained a little bit while we were there, but not a ton! The area near Machu Picchu has a rainy and dry season, so it's worthwhile using that as a reference point when it comes to deciding when to visit to avoid rains. Are you planning a trip to Peru?! 😊
Recently discovered your channel and love your videos. Want a one good hack to grow - Come to India and make some videos here. Your count will ajot + views. I am from India( live 3 miles away from Taj Mahal lol) and i know a lot of foreign creators are using this technique to enhance reach. Just a suggestion. Keep going 🙌
Abhinav! Thank you so much! We have several friends from India, and want to visit very badly! We want to see Agra, so who knows when we make it to the Taj Mahal we might even see you! 😊 If our plans work out, Michael and I plan on visiting India late next year. There seems to be so many many awesome places to see across the country that it's hard narrow down what we need to see. I think we might need to spend alot of time there to see it all! Is there any part of the country that is your favorite spot to visit?
Awesome! Would love to see you guys whenever you're here! India is a very diverse country and offers anything & everything you want. Right from buzzing chaotic big cities to Oceans, mountains (Himalayas), Rainforest, Desert. It all depends upon what kind of places you guys love. I'd recommend visiting Kerala and Rajasthan for sure. Rajasthan for its rich cultural heritage and Kerala for its natural beauty & amazing backwaters experience. If you guys like to party we have our own Ibiza called as Goa. So overall there are tons of places to go and try a variety of Indian traditional & street food (Beyond Chicken vindaloo & butter chicken 😅)
@@Ab064 YES! It seems like there is so much variety both in the climate and the architecture! There seems to be so much to see... AND WE WANT TO SEE IT ALL hahaha. We've been googling your recommendations and they look AMAZING. And of course the food is another major draw for us too. We'd love to try some authentic cuisine! :)
Thanks very much for the video. It seems like most of the time vlogs don’t give much information on Águas Caliente -they just show themselves waiting in the early morning line for the bus to the citadel. I’m going to Peru in May (and hopefully the political situation doesn’t deteriorate further - it seems like an agreement has been made with protesters regarding keeping Machu Picchu open etc. so I’m hopeful that will be the case.)
Very helpful video! We are planning to go to Aguas calientes the day before, spend the night there and then do Machu Picchu the next morning and take the train back to Cusco. What do you guys suggest doing with our bags? Pack light and take everything with us to Machu Picchu? Is there a place to securely store belongings before entering the sanctuary?
Just stumbled upon your channel, you guys are great! Subscribing now! Quick question- when you stayed in Aguas Calientes and took the train did you pay for 2 one way tickets (for the different days you needed up and back)? Or does a round trip ticket still work, even though you travel back on a different day?
Do we need to find a money exchange or use an ATM and what cards do the ATM accept? And what time does the place open to stamp your passport. Are they open at 5am
Did you go to the butterfly farm? or the bathing waterfall? I know they are a bit of a walk from Aqua Calientes...but is it worth the trek. I'm going in April 2024
Hi guys! Sorry to bother you. I have a dilema. I rented a car and we are going to morro to Lima. Can I drive from Cusco to aguas calientes? Passing by Ollantaytambo. Some sites says, you can’t drive from ollantaytambo to aguas calientes, please help. Thank you 🙏🏻

So glad you liked it too! Such a cool town!

I was afraid to stamp my passport. Isn’t that tampering the passport and it renders it void or invalidates it?
Thanks for the information! When you went to the hot pools did you bring your own towels? Or were you able to rent them there? Thanks so much!
Hey by chance did you travel with a large suitcase? If so, were you able to check it in at the train station ?

Where did you get your jacket?
Question... as far cash, should i bring dollars and hows the exchange? Whats your recommendation?
When you travel in any country feed the street dogs. ❤

Which hotel did you stay at there and how much was for each night

We didn't make it to either of those spots, but they look really neat! We hope you have an AMAZING trip. Peru is such a magical place!
I booked a trip,is it bad if I’m staying here instead of Cusco
Lovely video. Which camera you use for filming?
Thank you so much! We use a Sony A7C! We have the exact one and the lens we use in the description box! We love it! :)
