This must be a total basic Trail Boss. I just bought mine last week.
Mine has the easy open tailgate, tailgate storage compartment, sliding rear window, power seat. 🤷🏻

Interesting, this is a base model for the most part in general.

It would be nice if it came with standard heated seats

This trail boss is for people who want hardware without having to pay for fluff. Heated seats is available. Just pay more and get the z71, zr2 or one of the Canyon trims.

Why does the fender have that cutout in the plastic?

It's just a styling / design feature - The Nissan Titan has a similar design.

I bought my 2024 Trail Boss Colorado last month and I love it. However I disagree with your point about leg room in the back seat. I'm 6'1, and when my seat is back, there is no room for anything in the back seat! That's fine for me as I don't transport people!!! One thing I do love about my truck is the 310hp four cylinder turbo. I won my first race yesterday at a stop light! The bitch next to me tried to beat me off the line so she could be ahead of me before the lane merged to two lane on a state highway! I sent her and her old Dodge Caravan packing!!!!!! [Barney Fife sniff] In reality, the truck has pretty good power for a 4 cylinder! My truck doesn't have, nor do I need, leather seats, but the options on my truck are much better than the one you showcased. My biggest complaint about the Trail Boss package is that everything is blacked out! The grill, the trim, and the wheels, but the COLORADO badging is chrome. WHY???? Oh wait, I know....GM wants to make more money on accessories! And they won!!!! I changed all of the chrome badging to black as well as black lettering for the tail gate...GAMECHANGER!!!!! The truck looks so much better! I have never had more compliments on a vehicle that I have owned before this truck. Mine is Radiant Red Tint Coat. It's beautiful!!!

I got mine last week. Love it!
I think we have more options (tailgate assist, tailgate storage, sliding rear window, power seats.
The engine wasn’t a surprise as my wife’s 24 GMC Acadia Denali has the same engine. It’s actually better than the V6 she had in her older one.

Well you are taller than me, so that would of course differ....I can sit fine in the back with the seat at my height...so it beat an old minivan, cool I guess...but glad you enjoy it.

They have more power than the outgoing V6, so it's pretty peppy.
