      Are you able to get traditional Tele twang sounds from the bridge?

      Thanks.

      @@SandalGuy1 .. hey there. Yes you absolutely can get the traditional tele twang from this guitar. I absolutely love it. It’s incredibly versatile and fun to play. The neck humbucker is not very typical at all and sounds really warm and creamy. The bridge is super punchy. I highly recommend this guitar if you can get one.

    I have one of these and it's really well made and the bridge pup is the most bitey i've had with a tele.. neck pup sounds better than in my mex 72 deluxe with the same pup.. must be the tele bridge adding something.. this is a quality guitar at a good price. no sharp fret edges.. it's made perfectly which i know isn't always the case for a mexi. great guitar i will own for life.

      @@dead_yami i replaced the pickups with a vintage seymour duncan in the bridge and the neck with a cunife wide range humbucker to mess around with things.. it's really just a standard tele for me with that classic bite from the bridge pup.. i have too many guitars and don't like how my time is divided between them all.. anyway it's a beautiful design and the big tele bridge gives the neck pup a tone you can't get with a standard hardtail.. the cunife's sound different as well.. try them out.. might try some brass compensated saddles next

    Which would you suggest? With so many cool choices in this Vintera line I'm looking for a 'do everything' guitar. My band covers about 25% classic rock (think Petty to Santana ... nothing too heavy) and the rest is an eclectic makeup of cleaner tones incl pop, Motown, country & Reggae. Is there one in this line you would you recommend?

      The 50/60 modified you got 4 positions plus 2 out of faze options with the s-1 switch
      So you got the 3 traditional tele sounds + a humbucker like sound on the 4th position
      Edit: the 50s has a twisted tele on the neck, which for me sounds straty

    • @monovision566

      Luey Sixty-six It’s technically impossible to reproduce the 70’s wide range pups. They used a magnet that is no longer possible to make. So yes, you have to go full vintage, and used ones fetch a high price... THAT SAID, there are some third party companies who make a boutique version that-while not the real magnet vintage thing-do strive to capture the voice and attack of the originals.

    Is there any reason for the humbucker to be in the neck position and the single at the bridge?
    Because the HSS strats have it the other way round... Humbucker at the bridge and a single coil at the neck.
    I know it doesn't really matter that much but just trying to understand how and why Fender decided to do so.

    • @JIMIIXTLAN
      @JIMIIXTLAN 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some say that the single coil pickup mounted to the metal bridge is what gives it its sound

    • @mrjasondylan
      @mrjasondylan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The traditional tele twangy sound is the bridge pickup to put a HB in the bridge it's no longer a Tele any other way. The way this is you've got the best of both worlds which is why Fender designed it this way back in 1972 they were trying to compete with Gibson so the HB at the neck gives it that more beefy Les Paul type vibe that was there intention, wouldn't have worked the way you suggested cause the HB would be a lot brighter in the bridge position.

      Keith played one similar to this in the early 80s but not for very long I dont think.. You usually see him with a custom 52 tele that has a humbucker in the neck but not a wide range humbucker- I think these came out in like '72 or something ( the ones here are remakes of the original seth lover style wide range buckers) if I'm not mistaken.
      So yeah I wouldn't say it's Keith Richards signature guitar but he did eventually play a similar guitar for some live shows n stuff in the early 80s. I gotcha tho it's a tele with a broadcaster style single coil in the bridge and humbucker in the neck, I'm just giving you a hard time lol
