Me and my friend played the house of ashes together in online coop. Its amazing how the two diferent storyline can meet eachother and affect eachother. We started it at night and the sun came up when we finished it. Just when the story start to be too stressfull its changes speed to calm down and bring up something to confuse you.
Yeah the fact that they are scary and meant to be played together definitely has our interest 😀👻

Maybe first wait before playing the first 2 as they currently have been broken but the last 2 are definitely worth it until the other 2 are fixed. 😁😁😁
the two actors that you recognised are Shawn Ashmore (man of Medan) he played ice-man in x-men films and lamplighter from the boys.
and the other one is Will Poulter (Little hope) he was in the chronicles of Narnia, maze runner and plenty of other films. he's going to be playing Adam warlock in Gotg3.

Nicely. These games are enjoyable for what they are. They were aiming for the whole "love letter to the horror genre" kind of thing, each game going for a different sub genre/classic horror setup, or something along those lines, and succeeded well enough, I suppose. Oh yeah, I would definitely say House of Ashes is my favorite of the Anthology, though intrigued by the possibilities of The Devil in Me.
We also heard they are somewhat shorter games so perfect for a couple streams maybe 🙂😀👻

Was waiting for reactions to these after the Until Dawn reaction video. Would be fun to see you guys eventually play these in couch co-op. Can’t wait for The Devil in Me in November. There’s a 31 minute video of the game director talking about the gameplay features of The Devil in Me and 16 minutes of gameplay if you guys would want to react to that
Couch co-op games are so rare these days that we like playing ones when we come across some that interest us 🙂
The actor you're thinking of is Shawn Ashmore, Bobby from X-men and LampLighter from The Boys. SM usually uses recognizable actors or character players for all their casts. Man of Medan is the simplest entry, basically a means of testing the waters post Sony, which will culminate with Devil in Me to be released soon.
Unlike the Quarry, the DPA is essentially like an expansion chapter for each game; there is replayability but not nearly as in depth as Quarry or Until Dawn.

I think Little Hope is my favourite but they are all decent in their own way. It feels like they get better chronologically 👍

@@resarious6225 there should have been atleast 5 more traps, and like man of Medan so there is no plot armour, 2 people need to be in act 3 but it varies who, wasted gane. Hope the next does better

I love these games. The best is House Of Ashes in my opinion, but the first 2 games just got updated with things that were improved in House Of Ashes.

Funny enough The Devil In Me how the hotel owner said he was obsessed with H.H Holmes when H.H Holmes was caught of his murders he said "I was born with the Devil In Me" (Also the hotel in The Devil In Me was basically a modern version of H.H Holmes murder hotel)

Haha, we are excited for DMC 5 as well. Hoping that our new settings and updating obs will make stream smoother. Seems like action games tend to get laggy when we play them 🤔

My personal favorite is House of Ashes (tho Until Dawn is still of course their best game to date). Despite it being the least scary, it's by far the most... intense. Can't wait to see your thoughts on each of them!

first of all, super excited and happy to finally see this! it truly made my evening 😸
about the co-op part, couch co-op will be the same as the quarry i’m pretty sure but there’s also the possibility of playing online (for example with friends that live further away etc) where you actually do play at the same time, exploring different locations etc. but with couch co-op it will be pretty much the same as quarry (still great tho)

my favorite story is probably little hope but house of ashes was the most fun to play especially with friends online!

Man, it’s Funny That Candace Flynn literally Discovered Something that Definitely Shouldn’t Exist beneath the Underworld.
Shawn Ashemore mostly known as Iceman, or Quantum Break the game. For Little Hope it stars Will Poulter, mostly known for eyebrows kid from Maze Runner or just his eyebrows. He's playing Adam Warlock in GotG Vol. 3. I heard Little Hope was the best of the anthology, while Man of Medan was mediocre. Since Until Dawn is a Sony exclusive, the anthology was supposed to be a much bigger Until Dawn for all platforms, with Devil in Me being the 4th game of 8 and dubbed the finale for the "first season".

I played the 3 that are out yet and I will play The Devil in me too this year. I licked House of Ashes the most. But all of them are very good. The Only bad thing is that they are shorter then Until Dawn and The Quarry
Shorter isn’t the worst. Perfect for streaming then. Maybe only will take a couple streams 🙂
I only played Medan thanks to gamepass a while ago. Fun fact. Based on a true... ish story. There was a ship the Orange Medan that's surrounded in mystery, but there's so little information that's it's just kind of forgotten.
Trueish horror stories of lesser known stories is a good basis 😁👻

Oh man, these games have became a sorta special thing with me and a friend couple! They've played the games before, invited me to play Little Hope and House of Ashes after their own playtroughs to see how I'd do! Recently we all three played The Quarry together and I assume we will play The Devil In Me together too! Lots of fun, definately! I've liked these all, but House of Ashes was probably my favourite so far. Sad that the trailers show the monsters so clearly, but the intrigue of whats going on was really interesting to explore! Excited to see whats in store with The Devil In Me!
Make sure to check out the Quarry! Made by the same people as Until Dawn. Summer Camp type of horror game. Would love to see you guys play it too

That was Shawn Ashmore or his twin brother Aaron Ashmore. I don’t know which one because they’re twins. They played Jimmy Olson in Smallville and Iceman in X-Men movies. Again I don’t know which one because they are f@$&ing twins! Sorry, I have a chip on my shoulder about twins. It’s a long story, and I’m still in therapy.

House of ashes has to be my favorite out of them all
Probably have a lot on your plate, but one game that's really great to play is The Wolf Among Us, which is episodic like Until Dawn and has a spin on fairy tales. Done by Telltale Games who did a Walking Dead game series.
We have been told that game is a lot of fun. Just might be one we play instead of watch trailers for at first. Dive straight into it 🙂
Check out "Scorn" if you want to experience something really disturbing, its an athmospheric horror game

I recently pre-ordered The Devil in Me and I can't wait for it to come out
Each Dark Pictures game has seemed better to me than the previous one. Especially House of Ashes. Of course, it remains to be seen if that trend continues with the fourth that will come out next month.
But in general the three that have come out seemed like good games to me.
There is a new trailer for The Devil In Me, it's not a huge one, it just showed a lot of the new mechanics they added. In the Devil in me they are having an inventory system with each character having certain items they can use to find clues or solve puzzles. There are parkour mechanics while exploring and it appears not all deaths will be caused by bad choices or missing a QTE but by failing puzzles and booby traps.
if u want to play them u should wait for an update, because there was an update on man of medan and little hope that made the games unplayable, the devs are working on it but if u want to start then start with house of ashes
The multiplayer by this games is only real multiplayer when you play online with someone else who have the game.
It will be interesting to see how you play these games. They are very unique. I like the game "Little Hope", the story is touching

The devil in me is my favorite, but I’m a just watch gamers on TH-cam play these games so I don’t yeah… but for once, I actually watched a full length video with zero commentary that had the best ending where everyone survived-- and then I watched some other, let’s plays, and saw some deaths😂 But yeah, I like it more I think because of the reality of the concept, most of the games care kind of methodical or psychological
And this game was based on A real guy with radical fascination a real life historical person
House of ashes is kind of growing on me, I’m not a huge fan of the military setting, but it’s I got some great voice acting and funny banter
Best part about games is the voice work - Voice actors are amazing❤❤❤❤❤
like with Until Dawn the Dark Picture Anthology stories has multiple endings. Depending on whoever is left alive.

I JUST finished the three currently released games. Definitely pick it up when you have the chance. My personal favorite is Little Hope, with House of Ashes being a close second for its more action-packed story.

I’ve only played two of the games, little hope, and devil in me, but I have seen both of the other games through full gameplay, and devil in me is definitely my favorite and not as much of a gore fest as you’d think, I’d definitely rank man of Medan as the worst of the group but only because it was their second game and I don’t think they knew exactly where to go with it and house of ashes is definitely second best in my opinion, the mystery and story is great, but I do believe every story is in some way based on a true story
Now that I've played all 4, I have to admit the atmosphere was best in Man Of Medan for me, the story and twist at the end of Little Hope was best, then the characters of House of Ashes was best.
My ranking for the game that are released so far
1.House of ashes is really good and the character are likeable and the things is real deal, the action scene are really good. (9/10)
2.Little hope is good and my favorit, house of aches is probably the the best one but little hope is my personal favorit.(7.5/10)
3.man of medan is fine i guess, out from the 3 this one is the weakest. (5/10)

These games are great. Especially the newest one (Devil in Me), and little hope. Those 2 are definitely the most action packed. House of ashes is very slow and I find it boring, but it gets fun as you go on.

i like little hope and men of medan is ok. But house of ashes was pretty boring in my opinion, it had too much action for my liking and the story didn´t feel that good. When it comes to the devil with in me, I have high hopes but I also fear that it has too much gore and the story being too bland. I would watch every of them if you play them :D

my honest opinion:
Man Of Medan > The Devil In Me > Little Hope > House Of Ashes. Actually thought House Of Ashes to be the worst, it was so uninteresting and dull. They were using heavy action mixed with ancient history mixed with war and military, mixed with politics and presidents, mixed with cringy yo moma jokes like shit didn't make any sense other than just bringing up big subjects. The only thing worth anything is the beginning and the demons looked cool. Wannabe The Descent. Characters had paper thin personalities. I related most to the Man Of Medan characters all of them were pretty awesome especially Conrad. Little Hope felt like a wannabe Silent Hill but it was still good. The Devil In Me was definitely an upgrade from previous two titles. So far pretty interesting bunch of games if I had to rate them it would be Man Of Medan 9/10, The Devil In Me 8/10, Little Hope 7/10 and House Of Ashes 4/10. Massively disappointed in House Of Ashes though.
If theses two played these games they would need medical assistance
