    why dont you just remove the cords from the ground man? Let the robot take care of your obstacles and cleaning. and you care about removing your socks and cables from the ground. Or just put on "No-Go-Zones".

      Agree. Too many excellent vacuums lose points for 'eating' cables or socks. Remove that problem by picking them up and it will perform amazingly.

    I absolutely love mine. I dont even use my phone anymore. The voice commands work flawless. I love when i say hello rocky and the robot will turn towards me showing its listening. It can clean up old coffee spills like its nothing. The mops are incredible. Its way quieter than my old s7. I cant even hear it when im upstairs. I love the auto unstuck feature, which took me by surprise when i saw it for the first time. It's worth every penny.

    I love my Curv, but I have to agree, avoidance isn't the greatest. I bought mine during Amazon prime day, and I've run it every day since for a total of 63hrs/27K feet. It has gotten jammed from a shoelace that my cats like to play with and a charging cord that was plugged in. However, I feel it keeps me mindful to pick up before its scheduled runs. The split roller makes it super easy to untangle the jams, and it's amazing with my very long thick hair, no tangles. The split roller is why I'm keeping it. If it weren't for that feature, I would probably return it for the Qrevo master. I don't have thresholds, but I do have 2 moon chairs that it struggles and sometimes gets stuck on. I did try to set the legs as thresholds to see if that would help, but it didn't, so I set the area where those 2 chairs are as no-go zones. Not ideal, but I'm hoping that one day it'll get a software update that will help.
    It's so nice to have clean floors everyday and so satisfying to see that dirty water. I do empty and fill the tanks daily because it has a lot of area to clean doing 2 passes and medium wetness. It's super easy since I have it stationed in my laundry room across from the utility sink.

    Two things worth noting:
    - Roborock says objection detection needs to be at least 3mm tall and cables are like 1mm, maybe?
    - You have to designate in the app where the climbing ledges are and it’ll behave differently than what’s shown here. Maybe in the future it’ll do this automatically.

My floor has double carpet for personal purposes and this thing leave it super but damn it super clean and not a single hair left. I have 4 malamutes dogs... listen.... mala...mutes... there is a huge differences between husky and malamutes and they are in the carpet 67hr per day lol by the time they leave the room it's snowing and I just turn on this vacuum and 10 min later I go back to the room and it's beautiful not even a hair floating in the hair. Those saying he should pick up the chords - isn't the point of a review to test the features of the product to discover any pitfalls? This thing is advertised to recognize and react to obstacles, so is there no scenario you can think of where a cable is accidentally left hanging from a wall socket or a small object under the bed?

    Cool. So don’t buy this vacuum if you leave random unplugged cords on your floor.
    If that happens to you, you should know that you ARE weird. And yes, normal people do not have random cords laying around the house.
    Also showcasing the climb function on a rug is very deliberate and deceitful. It obviously cannot get any traction on a soft rug, and the shiny plastic that it has to climb on is an added “bonus”.
    Nobody has this problem. Nobody will put a hard, long object on its rug.
    Even if you have carpet floors. You cannot get this extremely fuzzy carpet as floor carpet. It is considerably harder so the vacuum will easily find traction.
    In summary of what he said: don’t buy a motorcycle because if later on, you have a child, you won’t be able to take the toddler with you riding. 😂

      Well I had a phone charger plugged in the wall which I forgot to take out before leaving home then I came home and the robot had chewed it up. Stuff like this can happen to anyone, the obstacle avoidance can definitely be better, if the object is very small and thin like a cord theres no way it can spot it even with the most expensive model. But what I hate is that in the ads it claims it "WILL" detect cords but it never do.

    Hi, thx for a very good review. 2 question : can it sense when the watertank "ON" the robot is empty ? or will it just keep moping with no water ? what's the best alternativ, if you don't need the auto lift

    • @Odinriddari
      @Odinriddari 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it knows to go and refill the mop water tank, you can also set the frequency that it goes to clean the mop either by time or by room. Have a look at the QRevo Master, it was the flagship before this , the differences are: the master has a different dual roller design with a blade to cut off tangled hair, the flexi arm brush is slightly different, no lift, suction is 10 000. I personally have 1 model below that the MaxV and its great though i wish i had gotten the master because that blade it uses the cut the hair off would have been nice lol. Here's a tip, add floor cleaner to the clean water tank, my floors have never looked better.

    I feel like this is going to be a great vacuum for hard floors & low pile carpets provided you don't keep cords on the floor. I feel like it will either get a firmware update, or a big discount in the near future. Possibly both. Robots in general don't have the weight/suction for a high pile carpet, especially if it's home with multiple pets.

    • @rainersta7073
      @rainersta7073 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @worldofz00 Was my thought too. I don't have carpets in my appartment nor live near beach with much sand where i (could perhaps) need this 17000 PA. And i don't have an old building with barriers between the room where i need this climb function.
      Although i 'am a bit jealous not to have this sideways moveable mob😄 i think you run best by money/value with the model S. Basically same model as the qrevo master. But 400 Euros cheaper. And 600 Euros to curve. Nearly two S pieces for price of one qrevo master.
      I assume that the batteries eitherway last 5 years....and then it is garbage. No difference between S or curve. And the better modifications of curve do not promise 100% function. Still they eat cables....even better than model S because there is this climb function😄 And climb function to the limit only works perfect, if you don't have a glitchy carpet before....otherwise wheels rotate without effect.
      Sorry for my english...i am German.

My partner has 18-24" long natural (4b) hair that is an absalute menace to vacuums normaly, but the curv doesn't care at all and just sucks it up. Only thing that works better is a dyson hardwood head on hard floors, but that obviously doesn't work for carpet.

    Thank god for this video. I do NOT want to spend $1300 "black friday" sale offer if THIS is what I'm gonna get.
    I thought Robot vacuums should have handled such common issues in 2024. But looks like it's STILL not a solved issue and not a good investment for a high end model. I'm very surprised to see such 'glowing' reviews of this product.
    I'm certain if I get a ~$500-600 or even ~$200-300 robot vaccum, the performance will be very comparable.

    I don’t know man, it seems like you set it up for failure. Why are there so many cables on the floor? That’s not something most homes have. Also, before we turn on the vacuum we always remove all obstacles from floors. It’s common sense.

    • @BoraHorzaGobuchul
      @BoraHorzaGobuchul 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @carnivaldk959 My dreame l10s ultra uses up the 4.5l clean water tank in two mopping runs of my home. I have it mopping every couple of days. That's about 3 refills a week. So not every 2 weeks for me, but much more often. Not that it's much work but if it's easily avoidable by automation there's no reason to do it.
      Also, depending on the detergent used, detergent concentration in the water may change over time of you just add it to the water (e.g. more at the bottom, less at the top). Not a big issue but still.
      And my next vacuum will be connected to water supply and sewage, so again, detergent tank is mandatory.
