I live in Texas and this is how it is here. I can’t tell a difference between quality THCa bud and normal bud at all. It’s awesome that it’s pretty much “legal” here and in most other states now. If you’re caught driving in Texas with THCa flower, you’ll be okay if: 1. Your bud is still sealed in the original container the dispensary put it in 2. You have the receipt with the date, showing you bought it in Texas. 3. Most dispensaries or smoke shops also give you a paper stating that it is “hemp” and “contains less than %0.3 THC” I’ve never been actually pulled over (and searched) to test this, however a lawyer confirmed it and told it this should indeed protect you in court.

I own a THCA dispensary in New York it's what we can sell while waiting on our cannabis license. It allows us to sell good bud. There is no difference at all. We only carry the highest percentages available so even though you lose a little potency when decarboxylation occurs the actual THC content is still high 24%+

Assistant Manager for a smokeshop here. We sell thca flower straight from a farm. None of that pre-packaged stuff. Every order comes with a coa sticker on the bag, as well as heat sealing the bags on purchase. As long as the buds remain in its original packaging, you'll be okay (at least in florida)

I actually work a small cannabis store in north Carolina (not recreationally legal) and we have over 50 different cultivars of thca flower and every flower custom we have we give them a small "get out of jail free card" or "hallpass" and it is just a short legal disclaimer for law enforcement, just saying that "this is hemp, not marijuana" and the cops around here don't seem to mind

jager hemp from oregon blew me away crazy flavor and smell for hemp, and really potent. I remember when high thca hemp was first being sold online years ago at like 5% uncured garbage and it sold out like crazy. Hemp has come a long way

The tiniest mold Spore can spread to the rest of the bud quickly and you don't want to be smoking that stuff. Thca is generally harvested earlier than regular cannabis. Thus making it more susceptible.

A little bit more info if you get caught with it you won’t get in trouble if the place you bought it from gives you the correct paper work also from what I have researched , the bud is cut premature before the thca converts to thc. It basically like buying an unripe banana all you have to do is let it ripen and your good to go

As a Texan, THCA bud is just as good. I’ve had a huge selection of it whenever we opened a vape shop last year and I’ve seen some insanely good bud come through my shop.
Been ordering absolute fire thca flower from Canada and the USA for the last year or so. Just a few quarters of different flavours here and there to add to my regular bud stock. Well worth the smoke if the quality's good. Lots of strains now days and pretty high levels.

Not all but most. I live in Missouri where they list both THC percentage and THCA percentage on the label. I’d say about 50% of the flower I get from the dispensaries are listed as the THC being below. 0.3%, and could in fact be sold legally in any state. While some batches it has the THC listed as high as 3-5%. Which means it would not be legal to sell nation wide

You have a good point about getting caught but actually because of how the law is stated, once that flower is listed as “hemp”, it can’t be tried as normal flower. They’ve had to create new testing specifically for thca in order to give a fair result. Meaning yes a police may pull me over and search me but if he takes me to jail I immediately have grounds to sue. This is because if you are testing correctly, you use a government approved lab, this makes your results valid within the laws and therefore can’t be edited or altered after completion. Basically law states we are free to smoke however we please as long as it was purchased through a legal avenue that offers testing to back yourself and the product. Doesn’t change the fact that a piggy having a bad day might take you in for having it, it just means you have legal grounds to fight a charge and possibly make money off it😂
actually to be safe y’all should keep a copy of the 2018 hemp act in your car or house. if a cop pulls you over show him the documents and have him test your flower (most american police stations have them these days) once you prove it’s thc-a (which is non psychoactive until you add heat) they can’t do anything bc nothing you’re holding is illegal

Well it applies to all buds as all buds contain THC-A and not THC, also the reason why if you eat raw bud you won’t really be getting high, you have to decarboxylate it ( heat it past a certain temperature) so the thc-a becomes THC and then it gets you high.

Every order comes with a coa sticker on the bag, as well as heat sealing the bags on purchase. As long as the buds remain in its original packaging, you'll be okay (at least in florida)

I actually work a small cannabis store in north Carolina (not recreationally legal) and we have over 50 different cultivars of thca flower and every flower custom we have we give them a small "get out of jail free card" or "hallpass" and it is just a short legal disclaimer for law enforcement, just saying that "this is hemp, not marijuana" and the cops around here don't seem to mind

The tiniest mold Spore can spread to the rest of the bud quickly and you don't want to be smoking that stuff. Thca is generally harvested earlier than regular cannabis. Thus making it more susceptible.

A little bit more info if you get caught with it you won’t get in trouble if the place you bought it from gives you the correct paper work also from what I have researched , the bud is cut premature before the thca converts to thc. It basically like buying an unripe banana all you have to do is let it ripen and your good to go

Not all but most. I live in Missouri where they list both THC percentage and THCA percentage on the label. I’d say about 50% of the flower I get from the dispensaries are listed as the THC being below. 0.3%, and could in fact be sold legally in any state. While some batches it has the THC listed as high as 3-5%. Which means it would not be legal to sell nation wide
Working at a hemp dispensary we had to be careful where the THCa flower was put on the shelf. Even the heat from sunlight was able to convert the thca to D9

You have a good point about getting caught but actually because of how the law is stated, once that flower is listed as “hemp”, it can’t be tried as normal flower. They’ve had to create new testing specifically for thca in order to give a fair result. Meaning yes a police may pull me over and search me but if he takes me to jail I immediately have grounds to sue. This is because if you are testing correctly, you use a government approved lab, this makes your results valid within the laws and therefore can’t be edited or altered after completion. Basically law states we are free to smoke however we please as long as it was purchased through a legal avenue that offers testing to back yourself and the product. Doesn’t change the fact that a piggy having a bad day might take you in for having it, it just means you have legal grounds to fight a charge and possibly make money off it😂

Well it applies to all buds as all buds contain THC-A and not THC, also the reason why if you eat raw bud you won’t really be getting high, you have to decarboxylate it ( heat it past a certain temperature) so the thc-a becomes THC and then it gets you high.

As long as the bud is less than 0.3% delta9 thc than the thca (thc in acid and neutral form) can be as high as you want. People didnt understand that delta9 is thca thats been stripped of a carbon molecule to make it more digestible by the liver, which then converts to 11hydroxy-delta 9 thc.
