The law states when testing the weed you have to send it to a third party lab YOU cannot provide tests NEITHER can your company. with that being said the labs test a small portion of your weed AFTER they heat the weed up so all the potential thc-a gets turned into thc THEN they test it, THAT test has to be below .3% NOT 3%. What loophole are you understanding that I’m not?
As a Pennsylvania medical marijuana patient. At least 90% of the flower in our program would pass the 0.3 THC law. The quality of the flower has absolutely nothing to do with its THC percentages. So they may alter the test if their whole crop went to long and converted to .4 THC or something so they don't lose the money on that whole crop. But they aren't interested in selling you dangerously poisonous shitty flower either. That's what reviews are for. Do your research and you will find amazing THCa flower.
Yo I live in Pennsylvania also. We have a medical card and get flower and cartridges from the dispensary. I’ve seen the THCA flower in jars at a local head shop but have always brushed it off because I have a medical card and I assumed since it was legal it’s like fake weed. I just started researching what THCA is now and I’m stunned. This is why you can’t eat a big old bag of nugs and get high. However, take those sane nugs and toss em on a baking sheet in the oven at 260 degrees F for 40 mins, then stuff em in your mouth and eat em, you will get high, since baking the bud at a temp that doesn’t destroy every cannabinoid and terpenes for a long enough time is called decarboxylation and that’s how edibles get made (typically you use the baked bud to make coconut oil or butter or extract into alcohol and evaporate to make rso.
I go to GA Hemp Co here in ATL and they are top notch, mainly because they are a license grower with all the labs and they offer strains high in CBD and other good stuff, along with the THCa. I have painful arthritis in my right hand (software coder) and this stuff saves my life. I also suffer from migraines and they sell strains high in the terps that really help ease the pain. THCa is like the great democratizer of cannabis.

I have old glass jars from the dispo from a few years back. Looking at the information on all of them and thca is the largest number across the board with a low thc number. Seems like a matter of Chemistry for me.
Nobody is questioning that. But there is a difference between straight up cannabis that is grown freely and cannabis which is manipulated to meet the definition of “hemp flower”. I’m not arguing it’s dangerous or shouldn’t be sold. I use it from time to time. I just have a more measured take and admit that I can taste and notice a difference, and the potency feels generally ~25% lower in thca labeled flower. Simply due to the nature of it needing to pass those pre-harvest tests. It’s damn close though, and I think it’s great for those who are in draconian illegal states. I just wish we didn’t have to worry about compounds and could all just grow some good old fashioned marijuana.
I've got both in front of me, some THC-a purchased from a CBD store, and some good street weed purchased after a 1200 mile drive three states away. They both cost the same other than travel expense. Honestly, the THC-a flower is better.

Yes, the 2018 farm bill defined cannabis under .3% THC as hemp and removed it from being a controlled substance under the SCA. That's federal though. Individual states can have their own laws and definitions that can make it illegal there. Though they can't stop interstate transportation as long as the proper regulations are followed.

I get way better bud from my THCa hemp vendor who grows in organic no-till living soil indoor, greenhouse, and outdoor than our own dispensaries here in NJ. It’s cheaper and higher quality. It’s all about being careful which vendor you choose. There are reputable brands and non-reputable brands, just like the recreational/medical market. The only thing that would be nice about THCa hemp products is putting more testing/regulations in place to prioritize quality even more.
The loophole is how the goofballs in Washington DC wrote the law. They only mentioned THC not THCA so the "producers" started labeling thc as thca. It is pure semantics in action but that is what lawyering is about to a large extent.
Because when it’s tested it’s test very early in flower like week 3-4 as long as it test under .03 DELTA 9 thc it’s legal. They give u 30days from when the sample is given to finish crop. (That’s mainly the time period where the buds mature enough to detect more delta 9 thc but since it’s already been tested and approved it’s technically legal hemp. The loophole is that THCa weed does not contain THC and its THC that is illegal. One thing that I don't understand is, once you smoke it, depending on where you live, but that flame activates the THC right. So receiving it is legal but smoking it should be illegal, am I right or am I missing something here? So if meth, heroin, cocaine and such were missing that main ingredient that get someone high until activated, would that be legal as well? This is the confusing part to me that I honestly shouldn't even think about cause, hey, if it works for me then I'm down!

Your guest speaker is wrong, the attorney on youtube broke it down already. .3 is specifically for THC on the federal level, any hemp attorney will advise of that. Here is another free article that breaks down the laws. The main risk will come during the warm months, for which the THCA will begin the decarboxylate when heat/ light is applied. That could happen within the warehouse due to improper storage, and transport. To have a youtube account with 100k subscribers and providing incorrect information is dangerous. Using it as a legal defense is perfectly acceptable. Numerous court decisions have arisen after the defense conducted independent testing and argued the law. There are a few cases where people were cited for Marijuana possession but it isn't often.

This is all getting out of hand imo. Nobody really knows what they’re really getting unless you grow yourself. I feel like THCA products are very mild compared to my own, but for people in illegal states it could be a blessing. I know several that choose to grow small amounts of their own even in illegal states. I don’t blame them….. All people have the right to know exactly what they are putting in their body if they choose no matter what it is. What’s the loop hole I think you are the one misunderstanding. The law states when testing the weed you have to send it to a third party lab YOU cannot provide tests NEITHER can your company. with that being said the labs test a small portion of your weed AFTER they heat the weed up so all the potential thc-a gets turned into thc THEN they test it, THAT test has to be below .3% NOT 3%. What loophole are you understanding that I’m not?

As a Pennsylvania medical marijuana patient. At least 90% of the flower in our program would pass the 0.3 THC law. The quality of the flower has absolutely nothing to do with its THC percentages. So they may alter the test if their whole crop went to long and converted to .4 THC or something so they don't lose the money on that whole crop. But they aren't interested in selling you dangerously poisonous shitty flower either. That's what reviews are for. Do your research and you will find amazing THCa flower.

This is why you can’t eat a big old bag of nugs and get high. I have painful arthritis in my right hand (software coder) and this stuff saves my life. I also suffer from migraines and they sell strains high in the terps that really help ease the pain. Nobody is questioning that. But there is a difference between straight up cannabis that is grown freely and cannabis which is manipulated to meet the definition of “hemp flower”. I’m not arguing it’s dangerous or shouldn’t be sold. I use it from time to time. I just have a more measured take and admit that I can taste and notice a difference, and the potency feels generally ~25% lower in thca labeled flower. Simply due to the nature of it needing to pass those pre-harvest tests.
It’s damn close though, and I think it’s great for those who are in draconian illegal states. I just wish we didn’t have to worry about compounds and could all just grow some good old fashioned marijuana.
I've got both in front of me, some THC-a purchased from a CBD store, and some good street weed purchased after a 1200 mile drive three states away. They both cost the same other than travel expense. Honestly, the THC-a flower is better.

Yes, the 2018 farm bill defined cannabis under .3% THC as hemp and removed it from being a controlled substance under the SCA. That's federal though. Individual states can have their own laws and definitions that can make it illegal there. Though they can't stop interstate transportation as long as the proper regulations are followed.

I get way better bud from my THCa hemp vendor who grows in organic no-till living soil indoor, greenhouse, and outdoor than our own dispensaries here in NJ. It’s cheaper and higher quality. It’s all about being careful which vendor you choose. There are reputable brands and non-reputable brands, just like the recreational/medical market. The only thing that would be nice about THCa hemp products is putting more testing/regulations in place to prioritize quality even more.

The loophole is how the goofballs in Washington DC wrote the law. They only mentioned THC not THCA so the "producers" started labeling thc as thca. It is pure semantics in action but that is what lawyering is about to a large extent.
Because when it’s tested it’s test very early in flower like week 3-4 as long as it test under .03 DELTA 9 thc it’s legal. They give u 30days from when the sample is given to finish crop. (That’s mainly the time period where the buds mature enough to detect more delta 9 thc but since it’s already been tested and approved it’s technically legal hemp. Don’t listen to what this dude in the video is saying

The loophole is that THCa weed does not contain THC and its THC that is illegal. One thing that I don't understand is, once you smoke it, depending on where you live, but that flame activates the THC right. So receiving it is legal but smoking it should be illegal, am I right or am I missing something here? So if meth, heroin, cocaine and such were missing that main ingredient that get someone high until activated, would that be legal as well? This is the confusing part to me that I honestly shouldn't even think about cause, hey, if it works for me then I'm down!

Some i got was tested at $35% and but was advertised at 38% which not only is impressive but it's more honest that you growers selling 19% bud as 37%+ im in NC where its illegal both fed and state but THCA is sold in store which removes getting arrested out the mix. Your guest speaker is wrong, the attorney on youtube broke it down already. .3 is specifically for THC on the federal level, any hemp attorney will advise of that. Here is another free article that breaks down the laws. The main risk will come during the warm months, for which the THCA will begin the decarboxylate when heat/ light is applied. That could happen within the warehouse due to improper storage, and transport. To have a youtube account with 100k subscribers and providing incorrect information is dangerous. THC-A converts to Delta 9 THC as soon as it is combusted so does that mean the weed is legal until you smoke it? THC-A is what pure diamond dabs are. I can't imagine this loophole will last long nor would I recommend relying on it for personal legal defense.

Using it as a legal defense is perfectly acceptable. Numerous court decisions have arisen after the defense conducted independent testing and argued the law. There are a few cases where people were cited for Marijuana possession but it isn't often.

I'm old and don't get your point. Yeah, I loved dirt weed in the 90s+. Most of the stuff now is orders of magnitude better. I loved watching some TV shows on my 13" CRT TV back in the day too. But I sure wouldn't want to go back to that over my 42" plasma screen (that's still miraculously working).

My flower pics wouldn't be any different than modern hybrids but I can guarantee the effects are different. Wether that's because people are generally harvesting earlier is a different topic. My only point is the weed wasn't all bad the way it was packaged was.
Thca is like smoking mid bud that the high doesn't last as long. At least with all the different ones I've tried. I will say it's good for day time though. Compared to a dispensary quality it doesn't come close to getting as high or having your buzz last as long.

This is all getting out of hand imo. Nobody really knows what they’re really getting unless you grow yourself. I feel like THCA products are very mild compared to my own, but for people in illegal states it could be a blessing. I know several that choose to grow small amounts of their own even in illegal states. I don’t blame them….. All people have the right to know exactly what they are putting in their body if they choose no matter what it is. Fact is, I have no clue what is in any dispensary products and most people don’t either. We are close to full legalization so I’d suggest that if you’re concerned then learn to grow your own medicine. You realize that the Farm bill was passed with this loophole, so that it could be called THCA and sold under that name, but that’s the exact same thing you get from your dealer, it doesn’t turn into THC until you burn it.. kind of similar to when weed was still really illegal and you could order seeds, but you couldn’t sprout them
