@@Zay4Presi well mine was a hell of a glitch, called support and couldn't even get into a troubleshoot menu to even do an offline update. Sooo it's fried, but it is also 6 years old.

This happens to consoles and phones, right when a new model comes out the old ones start messing up. That's how they keep you coming back for the newest latest thing💯

try connecting an Ethernet cable with internet, fixed my issue! Xbox pushed a small update, and I think it has issues coming through wifi

Thank you so much. I tried turning it off and resetting it so many times. I finally used your first method and now it’s “preparing console” rather than going back to the troubleshoot menu! Unplugging all the chords and waiting a couple minutes really did the trick.

Riftraft it is because on the Xbox 360 there was a virus called the red ring of death that a lot of people got and it was basically a red ring that was on your screen and it was just a virus that completely totaled your Xbox
red ring of death used to actually be the death of a 360 thankfully mine never did it

Guys, it worked, the problem was the hard drive not the console, the bad thing is that the hard drive stop working totally, so I had to buy a new hard drive and install xbox software, but IT WORKED

When u did the reset did all of ur progress in games get deleted and ur account?
Your game data will sync from your last loading session from the cloud it just deletes the hard drive I believe

ok i think i fixed it so what you do is once it gets to the grey screen hold the xbox button then press restart then wait. let me know if that works.

Plug ur internet out and all xbox cables including the hdmi for the tv then wait 30sec. After that plug everything in, then hold the sinc,eject and xbox power button at the same time worked for me
