Another informative video. I was going to ask about the protection plates, but now that has been answered with this video. Getting real close to finishing. And I'm looking forward to the wallboard install. Thanks for the video.

Jason, did you buy a new camera? This video looks great. Maybe it's the lighting inside the shop.

Thanks! Yes, it's definitely the lighting that makes the difference. Still the same cameras/lenses for this one - just a more consistent "set".

Nice job!! Was there a reason you didn't go with having it spray foam insulated out of curiosity or was it merely more cost effective to go this route?

Thanks! Yes, I decided to go this route for cost effectiveness. This was about $400 worth of insulation. Having a professional spray foam would have been $1500+. I did not want to spend that extra money, and preferred to do this myself. I appreciate you following along!

@@MakeitGoode1 Thanks for the reply and the info as I knew spray foam was more expensive but I wasn't sure how much of a disparity it was on a space such as that. I'm enjoying following along and really interested in the setup when you get there. The plate protectors were a good idea as well, I'm upgrading a very old shop so I'm scrapping the in the wall wiring and surface mounting conduit which has one advantage: Always know where the wiring is located. Luckily I like the look. Keep it up I'll certainly be watching!!

I believe the disparity is in the setup time for spray foam. The material itself doesn't cost much - it's just having the installer come out, get set up, apply it, then tear down and clean up. My understanding is a footprint twice the size of my shop would be roughly the same cost. I hadn't really considered doing surface-mounted wiring, but a couple folks have mentioned it, and it's certainly a good idea - both from your situation of an existing structure, and the ability to "easily" change configuration in the future. Thanks again for the kind words!
