Nice work. The beginning rectangles ( I could be wrong but it looks like they are rectangles but could be squares) are a little big in my opinion to control cracking. Would have been better to turn that rectangle into squares to help get more joints in. Modern concrete is been getting worse and worse by the year it seems. Good message on being an entrepreneur.

I wonder what the cost of this project is for the client. Here in Belgium we would typically do this with clincker bricks on a stabilized sand and cement foundation, because in concrete it would be mad expensive... maybe thats the point here, its premium

Looks beautiful.. Quick question. Did you get a prepour inspection. The way you did it, it wouldn’t pass inspection where I live. You will need compact base material at 92%. And rebar at 12” O.C.E.W. But looks amazing.!!
West Coast Custom Concrete I do have inspection on my commercial driveways. So even when I do residential I still prepare them like if they will be inspected. Don’t get me wrong.. you’re doing a great job but adding $200 more rebar (12” O.C.E.W.) will make it stronger.. Beautiful job, by the way!!

@@WestCoastCustomConcrete Do you ever have issues with the concrete pulling on your final finish pass? We have been having issues with our concrete pulling like crazy. We are going back and forth with the concrete company on it. What % or air entrainment and type of aggregate do you guys run?
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete We found that the air entrainment % was too high. We dropped it a few % and it finished much better with almost no pulling. The company we pour with only uses sifted sand.
No dowels into the existing slabs to stop the new slab from walking. Lack of chairs under steel to maintain cover. Most of the steel looked like it was on the ground. I guess you guys have lower standards over there eh..
They get by with it in cali. Come to the Midwest and try do that you'll be out of business the first 2 months. This guy's a part timer anyway he tries to act like a big shot but big shots don't shut their company down for 5 weeks to figure out what the want to do.
