Because they are hired based on their unsuitability to be police. They are put in office to maintain the status quo and since there are so many incompetent people, they can be easily replaced by the next one when their misdeeds can no longer be denied. It's a cycle of dysfunction.

Ruin folks life in a moment With no consequences. That's why i avoid the blubonic plague at all cost even when having a a major stroke i was able to tell 911 operator I'm petrified of cops please don't send them to my peaceful home they're bring all their negative abusive energy into my happy home and I'm also terrified of being unalived bythem i mean i truly have panic and anxiety attacks when their present. I didn't say all that in that moment but evidently i spoke clear enough to share my deepest fear for whatever life if i have life at all after that massive stroke 5 years ago, and today because of praying parents I'm at 95% normal extremity movement and visions cause i was twisted really badly initially needing round the clock medical support for the first 2 years of my journey of recovery, and now my face is very small evidence of a stroke only people who knew prior sees 👀 the difference. I can fully walk after 2 years of bed to bed i had so many painful dreadful bed shores that i begged my in home nurse to please help outta bed to sit in the chair, that wonderful vibrant nurse took her humanity over her job and i NEVER mumsed a word, after all she's done for me i told her if ANYTHING HAPPENED while she was helping me into that wonderful chair i would swear up and down that i fell on my own trying to get outta bed. She stayed with me the whole two years of major recovery/thearpy and that's very rare for nursing while at patients home, they usually lasted 2 months tops well at least that's what the doctor said. She even physically took me to a few Doc appointments by herself in HER CAR which is completely outta order. Every year i mean every single year i was released from having in home support I'm always sure to invite her to movie and dinner of her picking with lovely box of shoes i mean heck i couldn't wear any shoes especially my favorite 6inch stalletos. And i had survive shopping addiction before and now after for high heals well pretty things and she was my crime buddy when i was finally able to do most things on my own i couldn't drive and get outta the house without asst. Thank you Mr. Cathy for the rest of my life i will always feel indebted to her and her husband 🖤👍💋💯. It only took me 20 min to constrict this whole comment alone. I aim for progress, not perfection 🥰 . Who ever read my whole comment top the end then i want to say may you and family and friends forever be protected from any hurt, harm or danger. May you have the blessed day you deserve. 🙏

I still don't understand why cops aren't held personally financially responsible as well. Not only do they face little to no consequences for their actions, they also make taxpayers pay 100% of the lawsuits. Officers are often even allowed to retire with over 1,000,000 in lifetime benfits on taxpayer dime. Lose lose lose for citizens. Qualified immunity must be overturned if we ever expect real change. 🤷 Very interesting that they didn't go find the officer after the "dog" incident to see if he was impaired. 🤔 They certainly would have located one of us. Those who are supposed to uphold the law, don't need to follow the law themselves...apparently.

Minorities need to leave the city and watch how many officers are laid off due to low arrest/harassment rates.

They found ,that law suits against DpD contribute to Detroit going into Bankruptcy, back in the early 2000s, like like Jeffrey Fieger said ,wouldn't it be easier for Detroit to get it's business together

No last chance. He needs to be fired and arrested for the domestic violence.

After being scolded by the judge and clearly they screwed up. The DPD says the arrest was proper. This is why the the DPD and other pilice agencies will continue to do these things.
He is chsrged with and pleads no contest to domestic violence. He was charged with Dui when he was in an accident. He was in an accident with a police vehicle and left the scene. And has had 62 complaints in in 23 years. Come on.
Then with the way he treated that woman with the credit card. This guy is a POS and has no empathy for people as he mentioned in his statement.
Shame on him and the DPD for letting this go on and keeping him employed.
