People need to understand that there is a world beyond Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, and Russia.....People should avoid becoming overly emotionally invested in these conflicts.

@@itachiofthesharingan67 "There is a world beyond these world conflicts", Imagine saying that to the people literally getting murdered because of these conflicts or the professors getting fired, or the student protesters getting suspended or expelled, or the international protestors getting attacked.
These issues aren't that separate from any student attending school, they made that abundantly clear by being so quick and harsh to punish students and faculty having an opinion on the situation that goes against the government's opinions. No student is living in a world outside of these conflicts, no human being is living in a world outside of these conflicts. If you are on Earth, these conflicts can and will impact you, especially when the government is literally supporting genocide and punishing anyone who speaks against it in any way.
Politics aren't just having an opinion on something, the government and the public use politics to shape the world. Policy, laws, services, social norms, etc. When the government has political plans that involve or encourage detaining college students and professors for speaking against them (regardless of the topic, but we are talking about a highly public genocide), that shows where their politics lie, and it shows something extremely worrying to everyone, especially to people living outside of the U.S.
