The Ocean themed saloon called the 'SEAL' marks BYD's third model.
The Chinese automaker has been in the Uk since 2022 and wants to take a bite out of Tesla's market share and dominance within the electric car market especially when comparing to the Tesla Model 3.

BYD seal is definitely worth it, i have owned my Seal Performance for 5 months now and love driving it everyday, Im based in Thailand and some of the road here are harsh but the seal manages them pretty well.

How do you manage for charging?

Fantastic car, owned the premium for a couple of months now and it is so nice to drive, 308 BHP and has the equivalent fuel cost of a petrol car which does 150 MPG here in Thailand. I use the vehicle to load feature to run my 18000 BTU air con overnight using around 10 kWh which then gets recharged from my solar panels in the morning. Never go back to an ICE powered car.

I own a BYD Dolphin Extended (150 kW, 150 kWh) since about 8 months (18,000 km) and had the opportunity to rent a Deal Premium for a week (600 km). It is a very pleasant car, good looking and very comfortable for the passengers. Its power is more than enough for me and i always drove in Eco mode because of the smoother acceleration. Unfortunately the boot is not very practical. A lift back or even a estate version would be great.
