Tips.
1: Unless you are pretty sure you can kill, NEVER SHOOT THE 2 early.
2: If you are running away don't use your ult just to avoid croud control, hit them to slow and stun.
3: the tricky part on ama's 1 is to know the momment, i personally recomend when a fight is about to start straight change to damage aura and silence, YOU HAVE TO START THE FIGHT or your team will take more damage early. So, damage aura, mirror, silence and ult, all combined can be a deadly combo if your team follows you up, once it's done switch to speed aura cause they will probably running away.
She can be annoying as hell if you combo correctly.
Overall, early game she'll get bullied, but unless you are too greedy, you won't die cause of her speed and her ult.

I’m a 2 star ama and I agree. I disagree with the whole full support thing though. Her movement speed from 1 is great for escorting your team around the map. Literally at level 6-7 I don’t remember she insta kills back minions with a full chargers mirror. You can look at dmbrandons guide from a few years ago which explains that if you dash through wave it insta charges your mirror and you can clear faster than most warriors. Her passive is great for team fights, objectives, the list goes on. In my opinion ama is the best Warrior. early game her clear substantial. Mid game she constantly gets stronger from her 1, I’m gonna stop ranting but SHES GOOD

What sucks even more whit ama solo is that when you trigger your passive on the totem it also gives your lane opponent the +10% damage, she just can't catch a break on anything.

@@MastYT Yep, her passive increase ALL damage the target takes by 10%, works like that on objectives too so watch out for them enemy mage ults.

One thing I didn't see you do in lane (when Artio wasn't blocking or crippling you) was 2ing, then immediately 3ing through the wave and turning to clear. Once you get boots you full clear small melees and archers and are free to get totem/rotate/run back to tower line away from scary bear mom. Thanks for the informative content as always and keep it up. This is my favorite kind of video from you.
This requires no autos to charge enough to clear, unless you are dealing with a brute minion. 3 autos will finish off the melee, then do the combo. Late game only 2 and 3 will even clear brutes at most parts of the game.
Hey Mast! At 9:33 you said the silence on Amaterasu's dash only silences one person. It is actually possible to silence more than one enemy player. If you look at the indicator for Amaterasu's dash, you can see two rectangles, one for her dash and one for her silence. The dash damages only one player and stops at that player but the silence goes through players because it has its own indicator. So if you line up two or more enemy gods in a line (which isn't hard to do but doesn't happen often) it will silence those gods. Cheers!

Fyi, her ult combo can still combo if you hit targets other than gods, like minions, camps, and probably totem.
Also, her dash silence affects anyone in the dash radius - meanin if you dash and it gets blocked early/quickly, your silence still reaches everyone within the max range of the dash. Yeah, its fucking weird like that.
The silence and dash have two separate indicators. If you look at the ground in front of Amaterasu, you can see two rectangles, one inside the other. The dash gets blocked by gods but the silence has its own range and passes through gods if that makes sense.

To clear effectively you have to dash in the minion lane with your 2 activate. It fully charges the mirror. Then turn around, 3 auto on an archer.
Youll clear much more effectively.

I guess I've been playing smite wrong all along I personally love to play ama in the solo lane I do really well with an auto attack build she has been like my first main and I love her kit just the way it is
She's not bad aa focused because of her passive
I'm more than 5400 worshippers in with AMA, but as is she's not a viable pick. If you watch SPL competitive matches most of those games are AGGRESSIVE early game. They aim to gain control over lanes and enemy camps to help secure a lead into mid/late game. If Ama gets bullied in solo even with the junglers rotation, how can Ama shine if your team is already at a disadvantage early? In my opinion she needs a buff. Nothing too extreme but enough to help her early without making her OP.

@@ashra8281 They can buff the early stages of her 2 and keep the later stages the same since at max rank it hits for 420 which is high dmg for a warrior or they can change the 3 so there can be a reason to max it over the 2,1 and ult
I actually disagree with alot of the things said about ama in this video. I would like to first say i love this channel and mast is great, but i think this is where his "jack of all trades" style is lost compared to someone who mains the god in question. He fails to mention you can stack ama's passive up to 3 times (requiring 3 different targets) which makes boxing in minion wave a viable strategy. He also mentions that she is ability focused which is both true and false. He abilities are centered around 2 playstyles. Support ama as shown in this video, and home run ama which is a nickname i gave the auto focus build for ama. She is viable as a heavy hitter as he auto scale pretty well, while her 2 supports boxing potential, and her 3 (scaling quite nicely in the late game) is used to either initiate fights or chase fights. Her ult is rather flexable as well (which he actually shows off and mentions while trying to pick merlin) as baiting an escape with the initial burst from her 3 and 2, popping her 1 to speed stance, and chasing lead with an ult can kill 1v1 and in team fights. Her ult can also be used as an anti gank. Combine her passive in a team fight with her solo and team fight potential as either boxing ama or support ama and i think she has a lot in her kit that he simply slept on. As an ama main i put off watching this video because i knew (after watching the last one) i would have critiques. This comment is meant to inform and not bash or degrade at all. Mast buddy keep up the awesome videos.
Not to mention her wave clear isn't really that bad. Her dash counts as doing damage so dashing through an entire minion wave to build charges on her 2 and turning around to fire it afterwards actually becomes pretty efficient once you level the 2. The only problem is that she has become "unsafe" to clear it as fast as others since she has to dash toward the enemy tower most of the time.
Mast, I love your videos. Ama is definitely an auto attack warrior, though. Her kit has basically no damage ability wise, but with the dash and the mirror, she does well boxing with autos.

Amaterasu Ultimate needs to hit 3 enemies for the stun, minions count. That is what happened at 07:20 when you didn't hit the second strike

I haven't played smite for a while but I'm fairly certain that if Ama hits anything with the second hit after hitting a god the third hit will still stun. I'm racking my memory but I'm pretty sure I've initiated with ult, turned to hit minions when they've got away then hit a different god and stunned them

May be worth mentioning her dash will fully charge her 2 if used on the wave for swifter clear and ideally after 3 autos on 1 minion rather than splitting autos so they whole wave takes the passive damage
This might be one of the most useful "how tos" in the entire Smite community
Her basics are relevant it works well with her passive especially if you go attack speed last 2 items. Her 2 can insta kill archers at lvl 5 if you put all your points into it. The list goes on she’s great
I've been playing her wrong this whole time xD I saw talarian boots and thought u were crazy but I've been doing this and I haven't gone negative in 10 games. Ty so much
I play her solo and supp all the time, shes my favorite :) Ama In the early stages has to be played smart and used to exploit your opponents greed and mistakes, play mana games, use your tower but use the mirror range to clear while under tower. Because of her bad clear I tend to try proxying the first wave then running away. Power (blackthorn, warrior tabi.) and like 3/4 pips in the 2 will clear in one hit but you have to focus on the charge of it. If it's full shooting it early or holding it wont change the dmg, allowing you to play games with the timing of it against your opponent, by challanging them to fight you when it's up to pull minions, then burst them and the wave. the dmg aura helps increase the rate it fills and helps it clear until it gets its level. I recommend hardly ever using the dash to clear once your 2's leveled and being carefull using it offensively, use your basics know your match up, ignore ingages for farm till you can trade. You dont always have to hit the dash, just getting behind them to ult is worth it. Remember mana = health as long as you can safely stance change, making mana buff totem of ku very important for her. And with proper accuracy, and playing those mind games you can feign weakness, then when they're pushed up you turn the tides on them with ult/mirror combo for your early kills/pushing out of lane. Exploit your opponents weakness use ult properly as a fight turner and remember your burst capability if you're accurate. Let them underestimate you, that's when you'll kill them. After all If you snowball on your opponent the entire game becomes late game and thus.. in your favor ;) I tend to stance change through out boxing trades but sitting longer in power, also anytime you can 2 in power then stance change to mitigate and heal in one but your mirror will still hit like you're in power stance and movement aura helps you stick close to guarantee a point blank hit. Afterward switch back to power and keep boxing, or stay in speed to run/dash out.
PS: if you ulted artio while contesting totem first time. You would've got totem and probably still killed her. Ama is super good securing totem with the burst, and that will slow down gods like artio and arthur.

She's more auto focused although she works well with cdr because the heal is nutty. She's pretty good at boxing because of the passive, healing, and dash silence. The silence also passes through targets if she's stopped by a god to the end dash line. Her power stance is great in team and objective fights. Her ult hits pretty hard. It's a 20% slow on the second ult swing. Also having cdr is still good on her because you can stance swap more freely to heal yourself as opposed to only using one stance for your team and it still being available to use to buff your team

Ama dash actually silences before the dash. So it's actually possible to silence a god, and not even land your dash. Or vice versa

Sub from me. I've been struggling to learn Amaterasu, so this REALLY helps. As a jungle main warriors feel awkward to me, and Amaterasu just being Amaterasu doesn't make it any easier.
At the 6:00 ish mark when you ultra Artio in lane and thought you missed her second strike. You hit the minions which will still proc her stun on the third strike.
You could hit just minions 2x and then hit a god and still stun them.
With ama ult you can also hit enemy minions to keep the ult progression up.
Normally on Ama you get one damage item and makes her kill potential way more. The executioner or even Qin's sais, katanas for more movement and damage/attack spees or if you more support type Frostbound. Almost anything works really well but makes a difference..
If they add amas passive to her ult she would have way more value, land all three strikes and it also applies her passive
Her passive should proc on any 3 damage instances. So her dash a basic and her 2 will activate her passive. Or hitting all 3 strikes of her ult will activate it. Making her much more viable if an enemy doesn’t dodge the ult

the reason your ult stunned at around 7 mins is because you hit minions with the second hit. it doesn’t matter what you hit, as long as you hit something
Btw Mast, when you buy speed pot, Talaria's 25% goes to 18%, so not really worth to use it before selling the boots.
her passive doesn't only work on minions/gods but fire giant, gold fury, bull demon, siege monster (i don't remember name) etc
You should do an erlang supp guide cause I keep seeing it do well in causals and ranked but every time I try erlang supp I feed
Ama is my main and I completely agree with you on the passive. It doesn't fit her at all and it makes learning how to build and/or use her very quite annoying.
Mast how can I play jungle and not get fucked by an Arachne every Arachne is the same assassins blessing with rushing golden blade then boots next stone cutting and ichival and at that point whatever I don't know what to do because when I play jungle I mainly play nemesis or Hun batz. I'm sorry I always seem to struggle because they throw spiders then basic you to death. Thank you if you read all of this. :)
Build a warrior bless start with tier 1 berserkers and 2 hp pots and a ward. Build into berserkers then ninja tabi. Then go no of valor or oni Hunter. Maybe a pestilence or contagion for antiheal. Then grab jotunns and another def item of your choice. Replace warriors bless with a masamune and boots with stone cutting.

My Favorite character in the game. Solid gameplay. I feel she really needs a lane boxing buff though. I usually buid her slightly AA based with berserkers mandatory in lane. I think she's the most AA based of pure ability warriors due to her passive and AA progression
You can hit minions with her ult to get the stun. Not just gods.
I've been rushing golden blade on her and it makes her 2 always available for combat situations.

I like Talisman of energy on Ama. It might have been a better item than thebes at that point
Ama is still one of my favorite warriors and mostly used. I do a great job with her as a pseudo support, but i wanna test some builds with her that i keep forgetting to do. I was thinking of building void shield with stone cutters just to use with her passive. Also, i generally build shield of regrowth so i can zoom around and chase even tho it has cdr

Why'd you get guardian's if you were last hitting before full stacks?
If I had to guess, he probably expected Artio support and Erlang Solo. If it was Erlang Solo, he wouldn't have been able to last hit frequently. It was still a decent pickup regardless, but if that were the case, it would be the only decent option.
One thing: Why Guardian's Blessing?
I'm really curious about it because I go for Warrior's by default when playing solo with Ama.
Because you're almost always losing lane in solo, so having guardians reduces the amount of gold you will overall lose and lowers how far behind you'll fall.
