Convicts are humans and many turn around. If you judge someone you don't know, you too can be played honey... Victim shaming continues as the convicts smile on...
Over and over again in these stories, I have such a strong feeling that if the moms and dads could stay together and work out the problems in their marriage that the children wouldn’t be exposed to so much danger from boyfriends, etc. What a tragic tale!
Dang that dad from Jennifer has some serious skills / human reading skills. The way he went about it with - the billboard - knowing that kimble killed hks daughter - the question who also was never seen again.. how is this man thinking ?? You would never have though that im so impressed.
The nerve of the victim’s mother to BLAME others but herself! She’s the one who put her daughter in harm’s way when she decided to let that criminal into their lives, into their home! She should be the one to be blamed for the early demise of her daughter!
When people might question the FBI's motives for certain, questionable things they do today, just remember this case. And the one of the gymnasts whose coach assaulted them, but despite having prior knowledge of his crimes, the FBI stepped in too late. I do support local law enforcement/police officers. But I am not naive enough to think there aren't a few bad apples, as there are in any peofession. But the FBI seems to have a plethora of bad apples. On a sidenote, I miss Harold Dow. So you ship your daughter off to live with an aunt & then she comes back for a 2nd chance only to be killed by your new boyfriend?! These stories are so sad. I don't think I could live with myself & go on tv with this.
Never take anyone’s word on face value. If someone claims to be an authority, law enforcement or whatever, ask for their name, rank and office address. No legit authority figure will ever take offense if you attempt to verify their identity, they’ll actually be happy for you not being a dumba$$.

The mom marrying the Fake FBI guy in same month of missing daughter is wicked . she was a terrifying mom saying she’s taking her to the police… very questionable.
I find it very hard to believe that professional FBI agents were fooled by a criminal/informant. What does this say about these agents level of intelligence and expertise or was this just plain indolence from the FBI? How could that girl go missing just two months after "Hannibal" was supposed be watching/reporting on. I bet that if the persons missing were family members of any of these agents, even if the missing person was completely reckless, would they just ignore it as they did with these VERY SAD CASES of missing young ladies.
That’s true and I don’t know exactly why but in my opinion it is out of respect for the dead. It’s funny how society is so hypocritical when we always say “no one’s perfect” and then when they pass , it’s “there were so good “ …
People tend to depict the people they are worried about and want people to find in a way that will motivate people to find them. And when you have lost someone, that's not really the time you focus on what annoys you about them
@@damien1781 It's not really hypocritical, we avoid taking negatively about those who can no longer defend themselves, because our actions are a reflection of us, not them. And being the person who trash talks a dead person - the definition of someone who can't defend themselves - is not a good look. It looks pretty pathetic.
I don't understand why they were not allowed to do missing person reports...people file them on family members every day. I think the police is misunderstanding the difference between the girls being legally old enough to the concern of their missing being out of character. I know it can get abused; my parents would use police and try to file missing person, but they knew there I was...just an opportunity to harass my friends, but if it is someone genuinely missing, they should file
Kaysis mother really messed up, lettin him inside their lives, not believing her about the drugs. These types of cases always reminds me of Rusts phrase in true detective season 1 "the world needs bad men(refering himself as a bad husband or being capable to do bad things) in order to keep other bad men away from the door"
To her defense, though, psychopaths are always really warm, friendly, caring and extremely believable at first - and " first" can last for years. It's not like they come into a new relationship with red flags waving in all directions, being horrible and disgusting. It's not until they're pressured or questioned in one way or another that their mask falls. And drug addicts aren't exactly known to be very honest, especially not to their parents if or when they relapse. Having dealt with both young addicts and adult psychopaths (albeit not in the same situation) I can understand her. And I'm sure she blames herself for letting him into their lives every single day of her life. Unless you know what she dealt with, you can't understand it. I hope you never have to, but a little compassion for people who have been in situations you know nothing about would be a good personality trait to try to develop.

Those dads are so full of love, it's so sad they couldn't protect their children from that monster 😢
If the father hadn’t put the billboard inquiry, “missing person” next to the strip club where she previously worked, the FBI may have swept all of allegations of the parents under the rug. Sad state of affairs.
So Lori MARRIED Scott just so he'd help find her daughter? What a bizarre thing to do.
Laurie infuriates me.
She chose that man over her own daughter. No matter how you want to look at it that’s exactly what she did.
@@Justice-ef9skYup!
Plus she doesn't seem to have known much about him.
She also didn't tell anybody for a while that he went on that "solo camping trip" the same night her daughter disappeared. Terrible.
Lori married Scott BEFORE her daughter vanished

39:30 This guy says they do not "have the resources" to monitor their snitches, but in THIS case, someone contacted them about Scott Kimball and they did NOTHING.
This guy talking about the murders with smile is pissing me off😠

I have to say, I was actually laughing at him, bc he thought he was a good liar
He won't smile about it forever.

A pathological liar! He lied to Howard, you could see it in those psychopath's eyes. Monster! RIP dear women 💔💔💔💔😭💔😭😭😭😭😭😭
Plus, his precious uncle...over $.... pathetic.
Taking a man’s side over your own daughter after she begged to be drug tested to prove her innocence 🤦♀️
I agree. But she’s suffering the rest of her life because of those choices… so karma evened it all out… still horrible for everyone involved.
Why won't they allow people to file missing person's report for their daughters. If the parents care and want to file a report then it should be allowed. The parents know their kids better than law enforcement and if you find them okay, no loss. But when you refuse and days and weeks go by then any chance of saving a woman is Impossible.
Now you got dead bodies, not young girls.
16:39 the mom had suspicions but that means she didn't do her job as a mom before marrying this guy.
This guy is very glib. He's got Bundy vibes.
Be careful who you marry. Pay for a background check especially if you have children. Some men and women put on the charm to have access to your kids.
She could have shelled out $30 for an online background check and her daughter would be alive
@bdml77 I know she will forever feel horrible about that. I hope that men and women see this and do background checks. The little price you pay could save you from paying later.
Wasn’t him being in jail before they got together enough?
@USlisa50 apparently not. He probably lied about why he was in there and she didn't check and just believed him. Look how he had FBI fooled.
@USlisa50 you'd think, but unfortunately women choose men over their children's safety all the time. My mother was like that
Dayumm, the system failed them all. Idk how I feel about mom just automatically not trusting her daughter even when her daughter will claim to take a drug test. That's the most isolating, callous feeling ever, there's a reason she "ran away," and "disappeared." Even then, the fact that the authorities brushed off the disappearances so lightly just feels sooooo callous and lazy, the FBI's excuse at the end just felt like incompetent laziness to me. Sorry, maybe a legitimate actual background check instead of hiring a criminal who's proposing an informant role would have helped?
yeah the idea the FBI had a con artist on their payroll and then listened to a con artist OVER the mother of the victim? He was let out of prison to monitor someone, and then she almost immediately goes missing?? Come on. And the FBI guy at the end boo-hooing about how he can't keep an eye on everyone all the time was so ridiculous. Take some accountability.
What the hell is wrong with the state of Colorado.
I think somebody people should sue the state of Colorado for not being able to file a missing person report when it was obvious these people were missing people.
Blue state. Liberal policies do not work.
Colorado revised its statute in 2018.
I live in Colorado. I am asking those same questions. 😳
Liberals. Thats whats wrong with Colorado and all of the US tbh.
America law is trash
When you have trouble with your kid, the answer is to try harder not to ship them off to other people.
Upsetting to see how l o n g it took for the FBI to get onboard!
Massively let those girls down 😢
but how quickly they got onboard with Scott!
I always enjoyed Harold Dow. An exceptional man still deeply respected.
Same here 😢
Lori failed her daughter kaci. The fact that her boyfriend convinced her it's her daughters drug n believed him over her it's pretty disgusting. N in the backnof her head she knew it was him who killed her daughter n she still married him. She is the worst type of parent
Plus she wanted to report her daughter for the drugs Scott planted on Casey, and she shipped her off to her aunt's home, what a cold, mean mother
If she only stayed at her aunt's house, she went to school down the road from my house in Arizona.
She probably wanted to have a relationship with her Mom since the Dad didn't take her in and had a Rocky relationship with her Mom.
She was not a big drug addict like the show tries to say.
She's on the Gone but not forgotten online highschool Page.
Hopefully the killer pays in prison and the afterlife for taking these young woman's life.

How awful and painful so very sad

And she trusted him over her own child
And married him after she was suspicious of him. Another “mother” too blind to see a monster and unprotective of her child.
@@candicane1yeah, why would she marry him when she was thinking he might be the killer? That’s crazy! It’s like her daughter disappeared and he told her what she wanted to hear and she marries him without even thinking about it. Like she shut off her brain. Smh

Absolutely. It's so sad. The kids usually don't stand a chance

Even women who know their husband is molesting their daughter will often still stay with him and throw the daughter away.
She will live with it for the rest of her life. Heartbreaking.

i just can’t understand how she would wait 2 years to tell your ex that your new husband left around the same time ur child disappeared. so very bizarre to me. rip to all these sweet girls. i’m so so sorry 😢💔
2 early takeaways from this, 1st, if your child is willing to be tested for drugs after they worked on being clean/sober, it can never hurt to just try. 2nd, ALL police, FBI, etc should take every story seriously until they can prove its not true. That's literally the job.
Do you think this Scott guy could’ve planted those drugs on that girl? Maybe he did something to her and he wanted her to disappear so he wouldn’t be discover as the bad guy
That was my first thought !
He did, it says in the vidro
My heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones ❤ I can't imagine ♥️
Scott glances away and smiles through his eyes when he lies. Watch it for yourself.

He gave me the creeps when I first saw his pict before he’s even revealed as a suspect. He has a hardened and creepy look that just doesn’t sit right with me.
They say people look up and to the left( their left) when they lie. I have found this to be true. They don't always, but eventually they forget and do it. That's why they ask em rapid fire questions
Impressive to see a Harold Dows 48 Hours episode. I miss his reporting. However, after watching this grievous episode, I hope the days of interviewing killers for television shows are OVER! Those manipulators do NOT need any more attention nor a welcomed desire to hear them discuss their power trips.
I’m wondering how these killers get air time? Aren’t they supposed to be in prison?! Also why would they admit to anything? They’re liars and manipulators..

Whatta great host! You can see how he cares about all people he speaks to.
Yes, more older episodes please!
The FBI really dropped the ball on this one, trusting anything Scott Kimball told them is just plain stupidity.
He was one of the best!
They can only do so much. They're not super human.

As I continued to watch the video I thought she might have been jealous of her beautiful daughter.
What a helpless feeling when your child goes astray. You try your best and that falls short. You love them and that is never enough.
The FBI was however responsible for properly vetting him. They failed and were negligent therefore responsible.

Never take anyone’s word on face value. If someone claims to be an authority, law enforcement or whatever, ask for their name, rank and office address. Then call that office and ask to speak with that person, and cross check everything you’ve been told.
No legit authority figure will ever take offense if you attempt to verify their identity, they’ll actually be happy for you not being a dumba$$.

The people who disappear are always depicted as perfect
That’s true and I don’t know exactly why but in my opinion it is out of respect for the dead. It’s funny how society is so hypocritical when we always say “no one’s perfect” and then when they pass , it’s “there were so good “ …
People tend to depict the people they are worried about and want people to find in a way that will motivate people to find them. And when you have lost someone, that's not really the time you focus on what annoys you about them
When you have a loved one who's disappeared, i don't think it would be the time to speak on their imperfections.
