Great song it fits the series perfectly. This was HBO'S finest and best show EVER. I love how these people threw caution to the wind and didn't give a Fuck. One day I will follow suit and follow this lifestyle.
@@Stevegunnell It happens alot in my life , I climb trees for a living. Sometimes you have to say fuck It I will do that and if I die at least I didn't die a cowards death. Being from south Dakota we own 8 acres which includes a caved In gold mine named pluto lode. We get gold fever every time we go and i crank this up when we get to town. cant believe i used to crawl in to old caves just big enough to crawl in but then you can stand up in there and get lost and even on a hot day it's cold in there with a breeze with fresh water and red rocks on the floor. But now Lots of mountain lions so I carry my 45. Got too close for comfort once. Anyways if you haven't been there you should go. Hearing horses trot on the cobblestone with the pine smell is amazing
Evocative theme music.......perhaps reflecting the difficult circumstances that many people lived through.....and the grinding incessant repetitive nature of every day life...... The pose of the bar girl also adds to the theme....with holes in her stockings etc. This series never got the recognition it deserved.....especially when you consider the absolute rubbish fed to Americans by appalling American networks.
If you've never been to the real Deadwood in South Dakota, you have to make the pilgrimage. Main Street, the #10 & Mt. Moriah where Seth, Calamity Jane & Wild Bill are buried is a must for all Wild West historians. They still have there the chair Wild Bill sat in when he was murdered
My lineup of TV saints is Deadwood, The Wire, The Sopranos, Generation Kill and Band of Brothers. I just want a contemporary Vietnam series to round things off. Tour of Duty is great, but its showing its age.
@@MalandriusCaacrinolaas666 I'd recommend Mad Men on top of The Sopranos and The Wire as aforementioned. Better Call Saul is ongoing and is also top quality.

You're being too cautious.
Sopranos. But you're honestly not too far off. DW was definitely top 5 without discussion.
Fuck. One day I will go to Deadwood, SD and play this song as I drive into town.
Film it on dashcam and post it on TH-cam. Please.
I want to do the same
this touches your soul in way I cant express. please forgive me for such a lame comment.
E.B Farnum is the best weasel character ever
EB! Why are your fuckin hands all sweaty?
I love the scene where Bullock drags EB over the counter of the hotel, and beats the shit out of him

Such a great song and show. The season two finale is one of the most beautiful things to be put on television.
Amazing song.
