    Wow production levels flying....good to see you're on an upward trajectory with this despite the setback of your own running.

    Top quality work as always. Incredible to see how far you and Charlie have already come in terms of production, storytelling etc. Can't wait to see how far you can take it and how fast the boys can run

      Thank you! Hopefully more to come! The bigger the channel gets, the more we can invest in getting extra camera people, or even the equipment ourselves!

    Quite excited about this series, great potential both for content as well as results. Absolutely brilliant to see a British team - have enjoyed watching similar US based outfits. Great stuff guys, looking forward to seeing this project develop.

    Great vid. I'm actually in at 4:10 when a little history was made - been an Ellis fan ever since. Can't wait to cheer on the team at Highgate.

    Really looking forward to seeing how things go. The interesting thing about the five runners featured is that they have all achieved considerable things so far in their careers - but all of them have massive potential for improvement. It's great that UK runners are getting the opportunities that a lot of European and American runners of similar standard have had for years.
    In the UK Lottery Funding seems only to go to those at the very top who are probably earning a mint from the sport anyway so it is good that companies like Hoka are stepping up to fill that gap
    Hope the rehab is going well, Callum!

    Hi Callum or anyone else reading. Hope the recovery is going well. I am looking for advice and don’t know where to turn. I broke my 5th metatarsal on Boxing Day, I’ve gone back and done too much too soon in training and have a lot of pain when I run. I went to an osteopath and he said I have a callus, he said to rest for a few weeks but if that doesn’t fix it there’s not a lot I can do. Obviously I’m not happy with that answer I want to know what I should do or who I should go and see? Happy to pay for private health care. I just want to get back running pain free and have no idea what approach to take. Any advice would be amazing. Thank you

      Hi mate, we’re not best places to give any medical advice. I’d recommend ringing a private practice to get a consultation with a specialist & take it from there. Good luck 👍🏼

    I haven't watched the whole video but, is Callum being coached by Andy as well? Or is it like a split sort of business between his original coach and Andy?

    • @the.distanceproject
      @the.distanceproject  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Callum here - my coach still oversees my individual training, but (when running) I meet with the group at least once a week and workout together. On camp, more 👍🏼

    Love this, just what the sport needs, go you guys!! but what about the girls, is a similar thing being done for women as well???

    • @the.distanceproject
      @the.distanceproject  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Do you mean specifically by this brand? Or do women’s teams in general exist? HOKA sponsor a lot of British women, but they aren’t all coached by Andy Hobdell, so are not in this “group” 👍🏼 In the wider sport, lots of mixed gender teams exist!

      @@the.distanceproject Thanks for sharing, that's good to hear :) And as in, this group of you are all guys so is there an equivalent group being made for the ladies too?

      I’m sure the brand would love to but you’re unlikely to get them all under one coach

    • @steventownley3342
      @steventownley3342 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@the.distanceproject was it difficult to get the 5 lads under the same coach? They might jump at the opportunity

    • @the.distanceproject
      @the.distanceproject  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s harder than you might think. Asking people to re-locate to a new area, get along with new teammates everyday and be under the coaching of a new person… big decisions for athletes & big financial commitment from the brand! Can’t do everything at once. Hopefully if this proves successful it can expand :)
