The best multiclass for totem bear. Is 5 levels of totem Barbarian and the rest in Cavalier fighter. It is unbelievably devastating. You have all damaged halved plus you force creatures to only deal with you. Plus with all the attacks you gain and locking down enemies it makes for a tanking machine. Highly reccomend.
My stout halfling wolf totem barb is about to get his fifth level soon. He has DefDue already but my DM gifted us with a lvl1 feat so he has Tough too. I had Phantom and Cavalier in mind but also Soul-Knife and Echo Knight. I was looking for a reason to go Phantom actually so thanks!
An interesting concept, but isn't the whole idea of finesse weapons kind of antithetical to barbarians raging with greataxes? This seems more like a conan build :)
@@DapperSnapperGaming yes at the end of the day it comes down to if you want the better spell casting or better melee. I know there are multiple people who would argue against the casting but you really do have everything you need by level 3 in most cases.
Unfortunately it does deal damage. It says you take 1d10 force damage if you end your turn in an object or creature. Still a really great feature though!

I feel my spirit animal is a bear. Very ferocious and powerful and still also protective of their young.

Also. Barbarians get advantage on constitution saving throws so the wails from the grave is kinda pointless

Maybe a little bit lol. I have plenty of builds on the channel so we gotta mix it up from time to time
So I am about to play this in a battle royal style game.
Race: Wild hunt shifter
Class levels: Cleric 2 (Twilight) to start Bear totem 3
For level 20 I think I would do Bear 3 Twilight 17 or maybe Bear 5 Twilight 15
Well the difference is quite small but significant. Extra Attack vs 9th lvl spells

Another fun combo for this is Bear totem + Abjure wizard get the shield and take a source for armor of Agathys. Get hit but kill them for hitting you.
I have seen that build too and it's also very difficult to kill
Did you notice that if you get ghost walk you can stay in walls or the floor and not take damage and just kill everything by ground peeking?!!!
