This new Smash game opens the doors to Switch owners who were wanting to play online but never owned a Wii U or for those who owned Brawl but couldn't play after Nintendo's old servers were discontinued (although the Custom online servers are available for Wii still, not everyone knows about it). This also gives me the opportunity to play with streamers as a Non Wii U owner!! ;)
I'm hyped for that mech game. One thing I think people overlook is that Nintendo looks at this as just another direct. They don't treat E3 as the end all be all. I expect they will announce new games throughout the year. Animal Crossing will come. Given that, this was a good direct. Smash is huge for Nintendo and Fire Emblem and of course Pokemon are up there as well. Overall a couple of megatons dropped. Thanks for posting this, Miss. Great reaction video!
Scott Gaskell yeah. Ever since directs have been a thing for them, they have realized that they can draw an online presence comparable to the one they draw at e3, so they don't view e3 as big of deal as they used to.

I thought Nintendo's E3 2018 presentation was a solid 7.5 out of 10. They spent too much time with the upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate IMHO but I understand why they did it. It's one of those highly anticipated first party franchises that a lot of fans are excited about & can't wait to play. I'm going to enjoy the games on my Nintendo Switch /PS4 Slim console & keep an eye out for more future Nintendo Directs the rest of this year. #Patience

i think it was a bad lackluster E3, the only big thing they showed was smash which was cool, but they missed no more heroes 3, Metroid prime 4, Bayonetta 3, yoshi. other things that disappointed me was fire emblem delay, the late release of smash (which i was dead set at september which was my bad).
This direct was pretty crappy. The pacing was horrendous. It was a Smash direct. Nintendo dedicated like 20 minutes to a game that doesn't even need the promotion and then showed a 3rd party reel of games that they ALREADY highlighted & that we knew about in their April direct... Octopath, Toad, Crash, Dark Souls.... Mario Party is not that exciting, it was expected as a holiday title, even I knew that game was coming. They blew it.
This is exactly what happens when you have too high of hopes of expectations. You can watch any of my other videos and I called exactly what played out. Sorry you're disappointed but maybe you'll learn next time.
It's nothing to do with expectations. The presentation dragged on and on and on. It's Smash Bros., we know what we're getting. We'll most likely be getting a Smash Bros. focused Direct between now and release, too. To waste so much time showing off each character individually got old after the first 10 minutes or so. Deamon X Machina looked interesting. Fire Emblem looks like another solid entry, but the release date has been delayed. As for 2016, it was barren. But it had 2 top tier AAA exclusives that were taking their series in a new direction. It wasn't "only" Breath of the Wild, they were showing off Pokemon Sun and Moon with all new forms, proper anime graphics, and island challenges to replace traditional gym battles. And when doing so, they didn't bore us to tears with 10 minutes of "this character is here, oh and this one, and this one, you remember this one? He's here, too. Oh, and this one, and this one, and this one, oh by the way this one returns, too. Now that we've covered 50 characters and wasted 10 minutes, we'll just cut to the chase. They've all made it." Followed by 10 more minutes of boredom.
Because The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild at the time of reveal was/is Nintendo's most AMBITIOUS game from an internal development standpoint in the history of the company! Biggest budget, biggest team, etc... & the hype for it after a 5 year wait since Skyward Sword was thru the roof! It was completely RE-INVENTED! ..First HD entry in the series, first open-world game in the series, first Zelda game w/ enemy A.I., a full blown dynamic weather system, etc... I can go on an on... all the feats that Anomua's team accomplished on that SINGLE game in which was solely unveiled at E3 2016 blows away that crappy Smash direct ten-fold! Come on now...
That was a Smash Bros direct for Smash fans. Period. And it doesn't matter if Zelda was 1 title, the hype and anticipation was at a magnitude beyond anything in this direct, including Smash. Period. If all Nintendo had in this direct was Smash, Like they did Zelda, you would hear the hurt from fans for a month! It's bad enough online right now even though Nintendo still showed a new Mario party game, Xenoblade 2 DLC, Fire Emblem trailer, etc. Exposed.

I work in on electronics Department's Mall, last weekend, we have an special sell with discounts and stuff but this time Nintendo's products underperfomance, comparing last year sales in the franchise I work, Nintendo has a 20% loses on sales at national Level from January to June... as a fan talk to customers, they told me something like "I was hoping the idea to get all the games from many third party franchises in a HD portable version, and what I get is the resell of the WiiU library, what's the point? An online service membership with so few games, what's the point? with no AC, Tomb Rider, Resident evil, MGS, or even a version of the new games in a hybrid portable way" some will said is soon to judge the Nintendo, but sales make the difference... sales allow to get spaces inside the stores, sales makes the retail industry ask for more inventory, sales make the company able to make more games, SALES makes a company atract investors... in this global economy you can't just slow down... because that makes the stores chose to give priority to brands who made money, right now is like that...

They kinda "sacreficed" this year to make sure they dont show the next big games to early. And by "sacreficed", I mean that they had an average showing.
