@@schizy - Perhaps all of these shops need their pots taken away & be sued for the rest of their lives. There’s just no excuse! If you can’t put out good, quality, safe work, you don’t belong in this business.

IMO there should be a tight control on all work done and all parts used on busses. Like it's done in the aviation business.

Yes the flatbed tow was expensive - but it saved a $20,000 engine. The owner knew it was an odd problem with an unexpected finding. Almost 50 years ago when I started I had an unusual problem after finishing an engine repair, and I received the best advice from Virgil, a guy with the biggest collection of tools I had ever seen up to that point: "go back and redo your last repair." That was my own hard earned lesson that sometimes repaired does not mean it was correctly fixed.

Awesome work, a costly lesson for sure burn he will consider a lesson learned. I have a Rexall pusher nut I would buy a bus just so you would work on it! How’s the pit coming along?
Ive had a pressed on impeller spin free like that. But recently seen a guy with a new pump that all but 2 on the impeller fins just broke off! Also had a volvo pump rebuilt and the rebuilder put an impeller on meant to turn the opposite way! That gave me same symptoms as this. That took some work to figure out lol.
Wow an expensive water pump fix due to the transport price, not much said on the Ames infrared thermal cam, looks like it did give you some help. Would you recommend it or go with a Flir adapter to a phone?
Wow... Could that have been fixed by opening the water pump cover and tightening the nut while the pump was still in place? Of course you did good by taking the pump out and properly checking it along with the rest of the cooling system, there could have been something else seriously wrong.
It looks like buss/RV owners should notify anyone doing repairs on their vehicle that their work is subject to further scrutiny by the BGM company. Any exceptions, inadequacies, failures and errors will be photographed and documented for legal action by the vehicle owner.
It all starts with the school system. A teacher where I live was fired because he refused to pass a student because the student never did his home work or turned in any assignments.
