    Wow, Someone actually made a skatepark with everything! Low impact, high impact, ledges, rails, hubbas, quarterpipes, hydrants, in all different sizes and shapes. I've never seen such a beautiful park.

      ***** Not bad actually. Nice california parks are around $10 - (dollars are almost equal to chf), but they only let you in for 2 hours.

    So if I understood correctly Swiss German sounds like 1/3 regular German, 1/3 English words that have to do with skateboarding and 1/3 good old gibberish.

    • @moteschh
      @moteschh 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It only sounds like this when you talk about skating. When you talk normally it's 1/3 regular German and 2/3 gibberish

    I don't know why, but manuals always impress me. Compared to most of the other stuff he does here, it's likely quite easy, but it just looks so neat, riding on two wheels like that. If I was a skater, that's the one thing I'd want to be amazing at. At my age (40), it would probably result in a broken hip though. :D

      teh soljn start with a curb and just get all your tricks down it consistent. I stopped skating for a few years because I didn't have spots or a park but I wish I hadn't stopped because I could have progressed a lot more with those years, and eventually you will have access to parks and spots

    • @ashxc
      @ashxc 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Logan Ray i don't skate at all and i watch jonny because i have been into the scene for 16 years... i am starting to think like a skater, or imagine what it might be like to be in a certain situation, or a certain street obstacle, how i would approach it, or how it would be really cool to skate. i do struggle with identifying tricks still, but don't discount people that don't or (in my case, can't) skate as unknowledgeable in skate culture or history.
      i loved how flowy this course is, just as the designer intended. it looks like it would be an absolute blast and i learned something new about swiss fire hydrants. lol
      it's also interesting how many terms just carry over from english straight over into a completely different language, like "manny pad, " "hubba", "bump to rail", "sacked". the american influence is strong but i would like to see more european street style parks. i know it started in the US, but is it that the infrastructural design here is more conducive to skating?
      i am an amateur at german and found it interesting native german speakers struggled with the accent. i didn't understand 95% of it, but the words or phrases i do know i understood. regional variations of the same language are very interesting too. lots of cool and thought-provoking shit in this video.
      lastly, i would love to see jonny skate this park. it doesn't seem terribly conducive to his style from what i have noticed, so it would be interesting to see his take. oh, and the designer should probably enter some competitions. he had some bangers.

      +Ifeelit1 physical disability, chronic illness, wrong body type, poverty, being too old, no parks (and no desire to get in legal trouble), lack of insurance...there are a number of reasons people can't skate when they might want to.

    • @maxpheby7287
      @maxpheby7287 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its like any sport you dont have to play that sport to be into it.I like F1 but I dont drive same thing, one of my ex GF's loved skating but couldn't even stand on a board.

    • @ashxc
      @ashxc 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Max Pheby yeah the skate scene is not as open as it should be... as if to understand a sport you need to play it... if that were so, there would be no coaches or referees in any sport. "dude, do you even skate?" it's quite annoying. i understand skating is sort of like an olympian's sport (more akin to gymnastics or martial arts) when it comes to bodily physics in a way that many traditional sports are not, but it doesn't mean that active participation is needed to "get" skating. i may never experience wheel bite but i can see what it looks like and what types of situations might result in it. i must say i am still working on "toe drag" from pure observation.

    Why not design the ''Hand'' rails way lower since they are not really used as a Hand Rail, so if you would fall on ur sack, you can actually stand !?

    So inspiring to see people make their dreams reality! Simon had a vision for the coolest indoor street course ever, and he made it happen. I watched this whole video even though we only got to see you do one trick! :)

      How to do Things to be fair those things make it less of a street park and more of a straight skate park. I agree that they would be nice to have, but it looks like they wanted to use all of the space for pseudo street obstacles... maybe they should have done half and half? idk

      Ben Hutten-Czapski well it looks like it was really expensive so if they were willing to spend that much they may as well have put those extra stuff in and they might not be a great addition to a street skate park but they sure as hell are fun so I don't see why not
