Are there 10 types of manuals? Manual, nose manual, one footed manual, one footed nose manual..let me know if I am missing the 6 other types. Obviously, you can trick into/out of manuals but that would be combo tricks.

Of course any stance adds numerous variations. I've seen Daewon getting into a manny while one of the wheels came off on purpose. He changed the wheel mid manny and landed it. Get creative and 10 is a short list.

Yes our boards are big and bulky and massively heavy. We had nose bone, tailbone, side ribs and even a truck guards for skates. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've always thought of the Ollie North and Ollie one foot as two seperate tricks. Main difference being in the technique. On an Ollie North you'd slide your foot all the way up and off the nose whereas on an Ollie one foot you'd stick your front foot off your board right after popping, and level it out with your back leg, similar to how you would for a No Comply.

I’ve also seen “monkey grab” ollies where the skater pinches the sides of the deck (as opposed to the nose and tail) with their feet and jumps that way. Pat Gallaher has done them in some parts, though I can’t remember which ones. It’s like an old school kickflip but without flipping your board

Proprioception is the best way to prevent the ankle from twisting. The problem of using this protection is that your ankle muscles are not working properly and when you remove it the ankle gonna be so week that it can twist a lot more...

Any tips for not getting injured? I keep rolling my ankles when I land to far on the nose. Injured my pushing foot doing a fakie heel yesterday that i caught too far forward on the tail because it never leveled out under me. Just a grade 1 sprain thankfully so I should be back soon and it's the first time I've injured my back foot, but my front foot has been destroyed multiple times with really bad fractures and sprains.

Landing crossfoot is the perfect position for a body varial. To me it seems like reversing the flow of the motion not to use the crossed feet to rotate your body - it's such a basic dance move: jump - crossfoot, rotate

Deck, trampoline. Dont jump, when you are skating though, just think about bringing you knees up to your waist. The trampoline thing is to get you use to the board sticking to your feet, have fun.
To clarify you actually gain little to no height when you ollie or whatever. It appears that way because of the crouched position to upright to crouched. Watch people's ollies and imagine where their head would be at the height of the 'jump' if the skater was standing on the ground.

For the monkey grab you should try the Chris Haslem version. Grab with side of feet at the middle on board

Deck, trampoline. Dont jump, when you are skating though, just think about bringing you knees up to your waist. The trampoline thing is to get you use to the board sticking to your feet, have fun.
To clarify you actually gain little to no height when you ollie or whatever. It appears that way because of the crouched position to upright to crouched. Watch people's ollies and imagine where their head would be at the height of the 'jump' if the skater was standing on the ground.
