Furthermore, I think the car has a knock sensor that changes the ignition timing caused by the difference in the fuel quality. kenpoS2K I used to own a 2002 wrx wagon and I loved it but I was ready for a newer car. The Si is a great car even after owning it for months. The 2017 Sti is a beauty tho so it’s a hard decision.
kenpoS2K if u are still deciding whether or not to get the si i will tell u right now that it’s worth it. Yes it’s like 10,000 less than the Sti or u can get it for cheaper depending on how u negotiate with the dealer. Payment is cheaper and mods to make the car faster is super cheap. Sure the car starts out at 205hp stock, but a cheap $400-600 Ktuner install u can easily push up to 237whp. That’s plenty enough to put up a great race with most v6 cars out there. I’ve personally already beat v6 accords and v6 Acura’s with just this tune from Ktuner. I’m happy with what I have and I do not regret getting my 2019 civic si. More mods coming for me and more power. I can’t imagine how much more power I will be pushing with such little amount of money thrown at it.

I tried to reflashed it back to factory to try different basemap but the thing is it didn’t allow me to changed some settings on the advanced features unlike the previous one that allows me to set up turbo boost, throttle, responsiveness etc. after choosing diff basemap because the page was blank I mean nothing in there even after clicking the + button beside the advanced features. Saul Catalan the stock clutch will be just fine with the 9psi. I have the Ktuner and my stock clutch was handling 23 psi just fine. Just don’t full throttle 5th and 6th gear at 3,000 rpm or lower. If u keep that up it’ll wear down your clutch for sure. Other than that u should be fine. I’m currently running up to 25psi so far and no issues with the clutch. Your comment was 10 months ago so idk if u still need this info lol

Did it eliminate it? I've been thinking if tuning my civic but I'm worried about the ecu and sending it off etc. Worried about warranty too. Did you have to have your ecu unlocked or jailbroken?
Joe Friday the rev hang was reduced a lot but it’s still not perfect, I’m assuming when you get it professionally tune they can reduce it more. The ktuner itself will unlock your cars ecu and you can upload whatever tune you’d like provided by ktuner. The warranty does become void when using it BUT if you bring it back to stock before bringing it in to the dealership you should be fine.
What fuel are you running and what’s the knock control stay around ? I’m on 91 octane 19/23 dual map. 17 si. Knock control stays good (.51-.55) when I’m in normal mode . Even pinning it . But sport and highway pulls at like 24 psi my knock control goes way up. When it goes up it just means it pulling more timing to adjust for conditions and fuel . So it’s not hurting anything as the car is Doing it’s job protecting its self . I may try 94 octane and see if the knock control stays down under pulls in sport mode (23psi) . Curious what your experiences have been

How is it gonna work with the Honda Fuel dilution map they put into the Hondas at the dealer after the recall, How do I know if I flash it back to default its the new default from Honda with the fuel dilution fix. If it doesn't then Honda will know immediately. I have the 2018 Si HFP Coupe. The dealer still cant fix the rear suspension problems on it in the cold.

I want to flash my 18 SI but ive read on Civic sites that if you increase the power and torque more than about 30 pounds each your clutch will eventually start slipping and you'll need a clutch replacement. Whats the lowesr safest tune called to avoid this??? I know the Si clutch is weak but I dont want to spend the money to upgrade yet!!
The Si clutch is weak but it comes down to how you drive the car also. I haven’t had any slipping in lower gears but if I’m in 6th gear at a low rpm and I try to accelerate hard it will slip a bit. I’d suggest doing ktuner and do a bit of spirited driving but not beating the shit out of it. No matter what doing power mods will equal to wearing the clutch sooner.
If you reinstall your factory settings before service, they can't tell tou did anything. Also, if you have any issues with the car and need Honda to service it, return it t stock, and you're gold.
Im wondering how many miles ill get out of this small 1.5 motor since the rpms are pretty high at 70/75 mph?? I do a lot of highway driving. My Dodge Challenger rpms at 70 75 was only about 1,800rpms.....this SI spins at like 3,000 rpms!!!! So its working twice as hard!
The fact that you guys ran an update via Windows "Vista" was a tragic turn of events. I believe if you were running a version Parallels or Boot Camp over a Mac OSX, you would have been able to to utilize your tuner data on your Apple product. Just some FYI for later usages. Go Si, Go!

Jonathan Sixpath after flashing it I hear it a bit more but once you get an intake you’ll be able to hear the car swoosh louder
It's also because it has an internal waste gate. Once you change the intake and install a blowoff valve it will be more noticeable I'm sure
