Checking in from Boulder. I gave up on SDR's a few years ago until the installation process became less frustrating and reasonable enough, and with enough convenient enough to use to bother with. There was just to little clear installation info. Now it appears it is worth installing. But I went to the SDR Console site and found a maze of apparent ads instead of downloads to click on. This turned into another maze of different screens and other web sites to get the download from, including having to sign up for an online file sharing site. Am I doing something wrong, or is this maze and the mandatory gathering of my personal info the only way to get SDR Console? If it is, I'd rather get along with my old Hammarlund tube receiver. At least it can ignore a nearby lightning strike.
Surely you are using the LNA to compensate for the splitter 3dB loss in the Rx chain?
Another great presentation Paul N2EME. Keep it coming!

Thank you for the presentation Paul!
Still sorry I missed this one. Thanks for posting it.
What splitter are you using?
It is my understanding that SDRplay has software for Mac.
You are incorrect about running SDR software on a Mac. It is EASILY done. I run in all on my Mac.
I think he is referring to SDR Console specifically
why not just get a hermes lite 2 with an amp and skip the icom. best of both worlds for way less money.
