Excellent channel to get an honest look and feel of the establishment being reviewed. Another much enjoyed look at New York food, delivered with such style and grace. Forks up!!
Great video. Food comparison//food review, I think this is a tough one to pull off. But you guys did it and made it great. Thanks for taking your time, I really enjoyed it.
i'm a native new yorker who enjoys Pastrami Queen the most of the bunch. I think it's the bread lol Can't go wrong either way 2nd Ave Deli has some amazing apple strudel too
Another superlative review. So well-shot and presented! I stopped going to the 2nd Avenue Deli after a subpar meal when their uptown restaurant opened. These pastrami prices have gotten out of control. I understand overhead and rent...and the cost of making the pastrami...but c'mon! I now go to S&P on Fifth & 22nd. Their pastrami on rye is about 85% as good as Katz's and 95% as good as 2nd Avenue. Once you add mustard, everything evens out. For $16 it's the way to go. Oh, it's the old Eisenberg's Sandwich Shop. A bowl of S&P's matzoh ball soup is $8.00. The pastrami is obviously made in a we'll-seasoned pan, curated over the years. It's thicker-cut like Katz's. No, it's not quite Katz's, but close...and $11 less. I'm getting really tired of usury NYC restaurant prices and cook at home almost every night. With NYC raising delivery workers minimum wage to $29.93--not including tip--plus fees, plus a mandated $2.00 "courier" fee, most won't be going that route anymore.
Thanks! Yeah the price situation is crazy. The information in this video is probably going to be outdated in a couple weeks! We'll have to check out S&P and actually are going to make an Eisenberg's video soon. We cook almost every night too actually, and when we don't it's typically because we're out filming a video
More than Like and Subscribe. YOU know how to make video! Beautiful job, and all of it in 6 minutes Bravo!. You understand TV Production and how to handle people eating on camera. I will include a recommendation for your video on a web page I'm building for Second Avenue Deli.

Thanks as always!
Great job guys! You covered all the best places for the Pastrami on rye
Thanks! We're still planning on making a video on Pastrami Queen, which we love, and Sarge's, which we've never been to!
I’ve always heard about Sarges and we can’t wait to see that

We love it there too! Will definitely be making a video about it soon
IN NYC, one has to make around 180K to live comfortably. Like eating at places like this.
haha yeah part of the reason we created this channel was to help subsidize the cost of trying all of these places!
@@travelfuller You guys are a great looking young couple and luv how you both come across the screen. Can I ask what your "day" jobs are?. Thanks
Thanks! Kristin is a doctoral student and I'm a video producer
@@travelfuller Hoping ur channel explodes. You are just as great as James Andrews and UA Eats.
Thanks! Really appreciate it!

I’ve tried all famous pastrami places now but still think Katz is the best.
Maybe because they cut the meet thicker
We would have to agree. It's rare such touristy places hold up, but that sandwich is something else!
One pickle is a garlic pickle and the other dark one is a dill.
Thank you! We tried asking the waitress but she said she didn’t know!
It’s always, the Second “Avenue” Deli….not “Ave”, no matter the sign.
Perfaly is not a word.
haha yeah that’s why we were making fun of it!
The guy did a pretty good job describing the food - the chick was meh.
Katz's sandwich is $26
We were just there! They raised it to $27.45
