This is what I really hate. We all know that Nusr-Et is a scam but it constantly gets influencers 'reviewing' it to say its a scam. This is how they make money. Everyone just needs to ignore Nusr-Et and let it burn.
This was never on my bucket list of steakhouses to visit in NYC (your video only confirms that). Otherwise, another great steakhouse video to watch! Here's wishing both of you a Happy New Year! Thanks again!
It's certainly a beautiful restaurant. I appreciate that you go into each restaurant with an open mind. I honestly don't know what to think of the "circus side shows" when they serve the food. Maybe less branding and theatrics would help them focus on food prep which in turn would increase business. Looking forward to your next video!
We definitely enjoy some theatrical elements like a good Baked Alaska but it doesn’t make up for bad food! Doesn’t surprise us that his restaurants are closing. Thanks for watching!!
It amazes me that people think gold foil should make food more expensive. Real expensive ingredients are expensive due to actual reasons: saffron only grows in specific regions and needs to have the threads picked by hand. Truffles basically only grow in the wild and need to be hunted down. Caviar needs you to raise and kill the ~18 year old sturgeon for one batch. They all also add flavors aside from their rarity Gold foil does not take a 50 USD steak to 1500USD
The Benihana Goat Milk Baklava On Ice Performance (or BGMBOIP, for those in the know 😏) is really what sets Nusr-Et apart for me. Nowhere else can you get a waiter to stupidly dance around and idiotically tap a knife on a plate like he's auditioning for an off-off Broadway revival of Stomp (called Stump, for copyright reasons) instead of just serving you a slice of baklava on a plate like someone who's not on cocaine. It's a stroke of genius, tbh.
Great review. I actually like the table side service and show as long as the food is first class. Do you think dinner would be at the level of a great steak house? The lunch price was low for this type restaurant.
Thanks! We typically like the theatrical elements as well. Here I think the prices are too high and food isn’t good enough to make going for the table side presentations worth it. The steak from the regular menu was decent enough but not even close to the ones we’ve had from the other NYC steakhouses like Keens, Gallaghers or Hawksmoor
That steak would piss me off. To even allow you to state your level of doneness on a steak so thin as to be impossible to get anything less than medium well. I would have sent that back immediately and left. Way too much of a j-hole move to do that to customers.
Haha we were thinking the same thing. The look of pure disappointment on Will’s face when they put that down in front of him was hilarious. It’s really too bad we didn’t get that on camera
Great video! Yeah, that lunch menu may have a good price, but if the steak and burger aren't great and you're not getting the show, there's not much of a point. Good move getting the New York Strip afterwards!
Small thing, if you were to hold your chopsticks further back like your husband does, you would get more leverage and clamping strength to grab the food. The way your holding it now is a little too close to to food itself
Narcissism absolutely is the key to success in the hospitality sector, Jamie Oliver says so. The guests just don’t understand the genius of his vision.
Great video loved you tried everything. I'm a foodie in nyc so I've been to every 3 star michelin and 4 star times restaurant, I go to Raos once a year hardest restaurant in world to get into
Thanks for saving me the trip. I wish these new steak houses would stop trying to reinvent the wheel AKA steak. I’ll be at Bryant and Cooper in Roslyn tonight. If you ever come out east give it at try. Cheers !
I’m not totally against the idea of entertainment that they try to do at Salt Bae restaurant. It reminds me, in a spirit, of Ferrell’s Icecream Parlor from my childhood, but that was fun... These guys are cringe and need to keep the entertainment but rethink the script. BTW you are wrong about that final steak, that is not a perfect medium rare, and you can tell by the bunching up of the muscle, its undercooked for medium rare by maybe 20 seconds.
I was cringing when you were eating those burgers .send it back or go to chilles or applebees in n.j And get there 10 buck burger lunch special .I'm sure it was better than that. There is no end to NYC ripp off restaurants!
Thanks for being 5 years after the meme and giving him money for his shit food. Hes a waste of space; literally a walking joke. But thank god you gave him more money to keep the meme alive just for you guys. Enjoy paying thousands while the staff makes less than minimum wage
I love you Kristin bunches but the dough is pronounced “fee-low.” You guys are going to be a huge food channel so I just wanted to let you know. Also….if you could could find another word to use besides “flavorful” that would add the uniqueness to your reviews. I just don’t want you guys to become a meme like Mike Chen’s use of “umami” it has turned into a drinking game 😂
Pls pls if by coincidence that you're in the same restaurant with Adam Sandler that you share&announce it and would love to see both your&his reaction.
But WHY did they ruin the baklava like that 😢 edit: guess this was the last for 2024, so merry christmas in hindsight and happy new year. See you next year❤
I wouldn’t even walk on the same side of the street where that restaurant is, totally overpriced and overrated, who cares he can bounce salt off his arm. It’s only a matter of time before all of these Restaurants close down.
LOL someone who reviews restaurants does not equate to a food reviewer. This hack doesn't have a clue how to handle chop stix correctly. But lets review a restaurant and pretend to know food. Why does she "sing her words?" Listen to her...last word in a sentence is so entitled sounding. "Toasted perfectlllllllllyyyy" LOL
all show, no dough. all hat, no cowboy. all sizzle, no steak. basically saltbae in a nutshell 😂
Every time this place is shown on TH-cam it's always empty with no customers.
We were here on a Saturday and it never filled up!
Would rather have less customers than the wrong customers
@@dawndusk18 Sounds like Disney World.
That's because these TH-camrs all go for the cheap lunch instead of the real experience at night.
This is what I really hate. We all know that Nusr-Et is a scam but it constantly gets influencers 'reviewing' it to say its a scam. This is how they make money. Everyone just needs to ignore Nusr-Et and let it burn.
They're cooking the burgers twice! They're pre cooked and then when ordered, they cut them and throw them into the grill to reheat.
Crazy they need to do that when the restaurant is pretty much empty!
You guys are so fun. So fun you get to explore all these places. Wishing you continued and better success. 🌺🌺🌺
Thanks so much! That really means a lot!
I would make a very unhappy face if someone brought me a steak that looks like that 😄
Haha we were shocked when they dropped it off!
Hype Restaurant
100%

Thank you! Happy new year!!!
Will's, face when he tried the cheesecake was priceless:)
Some of the best food in this world is some of the cheapest.
salt Bae burned out quick

"Will somebody get this kid a Happy Meal!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Literally the only customers this joint gets anymore r vloggers
I think you’re right
Thats awesome you got another steak. Nice! Great job guys. Overrated I think. Enjoy ur videos. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!!

carpacio and tartare are often served table side, the idea being that they'd mix the ingredients properly. I love table side preparations.
great vid. love those ear muffs

THE SALAD LOOKED GREAT-BEAUTIFUL STEAK HOUSE -77 BUCKS FOR 14 OZ STEAK -I SEE WHY ITS EMPTY
a minute steak to make those crossed grill marks that piece of meat had to endure another torturous death again
Great review. I actually like the table side service and show as long as the food is first class. Do you think dinner would be at the level of a great steak house? The lunch price was low for this type restaurant.

This place will be replaced by a Baby Gap within the next 6 months lol
It's got a little hint of spiciness, like a little hint of soy sauce, a little hint of the tomato, you know, like a little hint the spice...
What is the final score? I watched the whole video and didn't see it.
When your critique about the steak is “it’s not terrible “ that tells me everything I need to know.#wulffdendad
Great video! Yeah, that lunch menu may have a good price, but if the steak and burger aren't great and you're not getting the show, there's not much of a point. Good move getting the New York Strip afterwards!
Couldn’t agree more! Why even offer a lunch menu if it’s going to give people such a bad impression of the food!
Small thing, if you were to hold your chopsticks further back like your husband does, you would get more leverage and clamping strength to grab the food. The way your holding it now is a little too close to to food itself
Grill marks without proper sear on the steaks, that is how they do in cheap diners.
Narcissism absolutely is the key to success in the hospitality sector, Jamie Oliver says so. The guests just don’t understand the genius of his vision.
At this point I think Applebee's can take this restaurant on 😂
Great video loved you tried everything. I'm a foodie in nyc so I've been to every 3 star michelin and 4 star times restaurant, I go to Raos once a year hardest restaurant in world to get into
That’s amazing! We’ve been dying to try Raos!
@travelfuller I m going mar 7
I wonder if they sent back the steak n burger
We finished everything! I have no idea why Will finished the burger but the only thing we couldn’t get down was the cheesecake
Thanks for saving me the trip. I wish these new steak houses would stop trying to reinvent the wheel AKA steak. I’ll be at Bryant and Cooper in Roslyn tonight. If you ever come out east give it at try. Cheers !
Wow that place looks great! We’ve got loads of family on Long Island so we’ll have to give it a try next time we’re out there
Seems sinful to serve such a thin dry looking steak. Again Great video
Haha yeah we were in disbelief when they dropped that on the table. Thanks!!

The cheesecake looked like Basque cheesecake from Northern Spain, shame you had to review this place 😢
I love you Kristin bunches but the dough is pronounced “fee-low.” You guys are going to be a huge food channel so I just wanted to let you know. I have seen enough TH-cam reviews of his restaurants to not having to "see for myself." In fact, i find the tableside "show" cringe and creepy. 😅
Our goal with these videos is to help people make informed decisions on where they want to go and in this case, where they don’t want to go!
Pls pls if by coincidence that you're in the same restaurant with Adam Sandler that you share&announce it and would love to see both your&his reaction.
Haha fingers crossed this happens someday!
You look like Adam Sandler 🤣
But WHY did they ruin the baklava like that 😢 edit: guess this was the last for 2024, so merry christmas in hindsight and happy new year. See you next year❤
We were asking the same thing
That steak looks like those “Stampede” Dollar Tree steaks with fake grill marks. Looks horrible.
They should be ashamed to serve meat that looks so awful
I wouldn’t even walk on the same side of the street where that restaurant is, totally overpriced and overrated, who cares he can bounce salt off his arm. It’s only a matter of time before all of these Restaurants close down.
Also who wants to eat salt that bounces off someone’s arm?!
@ you’re right.
Never let another man feed your wife again. That was disrespectful actually.
Agreed, that made both of us pretty uncomfortable
girl, you're terrible with chopsticks

They are overrated.... Its not worth it.
Um sorry but I don't care about your reviews
Well thanks for giving it a try!
