Excellent points! Do you have SOP paper work at each of the machines for the new employees?

Your company is worth what it is when you aren’t working in it. Really wisely said.

I have never been in a position that would allow me to outsource...anything. I had to figure it out...and 2 Second Lean was the answer. Taking that into consideration, have you (all) ever considered re-investing back into your self and your company by tackling the once-outsourced areas of bottlenecks?

Robert D In Tulsa there is so many ways to look at outsourcing. My company is a niche provider of cabinet components so we are specialized. So we in vest very very heavily in getting better and more efficient in our niche. Our goal when we start cutting parts for other shops is to double their capacity with no additional outlay in capitol. So With our company it’s not a matter of investing to insource it’s a matter of investing to make us stronger in our niche. Like I said outsourcing is a polarizing topic but in my opinion it can be a very smart move for many companies.
