Sir you are an inspiration to all of us who dream of starting their own woodworking business. Especially your drive, your determination, and your willingness, maybe eagerness, to work hard and put in the necessary effort. Thank you, not just for another excellent video, but mostly for showing that hard work, effort and discipline work.
Good video Nolan! That kitchen looks great! I'm looking forward to the day I'm able to get a big CNC like that for my shop. One day at a time. Thanks for leading the way!
I do built-ins and small kitchens from time to time. Working by myself in a small shop at the house, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video showing how you tackle these jobs. Instant subscriber! I would love to see a future video just showing from start to finish how you design a standard kitchen cabinet and drawer box for the CNC to final assembly. Nobody ever shows those details. Thanks Nolan!
Just a heads up.... in regards to drawers behind doors, there are "zero protrusion" hinges that fully clear the cabinet when open so you don't have to use blocks and smaller drawer boxes. They use the same drill pattern but the knuckle is much larger so you have to be aware of where you use it in relation to the drawer box.
Have you tried using a skin pass for the small parts? We use the skin pass for the whole sheet because after the skin pass it cleans up all the sawdust stuck in between the parts pretty much eliminating the manual vacuuming after you pull the parts off the cnc.
I have not tried the onion skin feature yet. I have been using full sheet tabs. I might have to try it out, especially if it’s going to help vacuum. Clean the bed between each sheet takes up a lot of time
Great vid Nolan. Thanks for putting it together. Are you using a 1/4” compression for the profile cuts? Curious what the IPM and RpM are? I’ve had a challenge with some skinned finished plywood. Same machine 5x10 TI with the R. TIA
I like your setup. I'm interested in your CNC thanks if you can give me some info I'm tossed between The avid or the phantom.ant advice would be helpful.
Yea I weighed the same option. I went with the phantom because it was it was so close in price and I didn’t have to build it myself. Also the phantom is more powerful and accurate.
does mozaik allow you to use the cnc to pre drill the holes for the Blum undermount slides and other hardware? Seems to me with a larger job that just having the cnc locate the holes for you would save time? Maybe the software doesn't do that?
Great video! I’m looking at getting a Phantom CNC is there a reason you went with a 5x10 instead of a 4x8? I’m space limited and was wondering if it’s worth the extra space for the bigger one. Thanks
Nolan! That Phantom CNC is a beast! The finished product looks amazing. Great job!
Thanks Matt! I really appreciate your support!

I’m running a 3/8” compression bit for the profile cuts. 3/4” full depth pass at 400 ipm and 18,000 rpm
Great video and beautiful kitchen. Was wondering…. How long did it take your Phantom CNC to cut out the 30 cabinets?
It took me about a week with only running the machine about 4 hours a day. Mostly because the time my kid gets out of school.
@@NolanBuilt thanks for the response and the great content. Very much appreciate it.
So what's the cost of this job from the customer's end ?
Really beautiful work
Thank you. It was below $20k
What did you use for the exposed edges to make it look solid? Was it the iron on edges? They look awesome!
Yes all of the edges have matching edge banding on them.
I like your setup. I'm interested in your CNC thanks if you can give me some info I'm tossed between The avid or the phantom.ant advice would be helpful.

Yes it does! It’s has a number of different hardware options pre set in the software

Thanks
I went with the 5x10 because it was already ready for pickup at the time. I didn’t have to wait.
Whay you dont drill holes on cnc?
I do, depends on what style doors the kitchen gets.
Where to buy pre finished boards?
My local hardwood lumber supplier or wurth wood group.
May i aks how big is your factory? I'm starting my own business.
My current building is 24ft by 40ft (960 sq ft)
