    It's amazing having JD Shaw back in front of Regiment. When I marched in '14 the BCH wasn't a drum corps guy (never marched dci) and let little issues (attacks and releases) go unchecked. I'm happy for the members and organization that they have gotten back the leadership that made so many people fall in love with the corps in the mid 2000's.

      @@coolmarchingrecipies Training physically and musically throughout these months w/ the ‘23 packet and using DCI workouts to be prepared for the audition camp this Fall. I’ll be standing in front of the horn line again this summer at multiple stops in their Texas Tour and hope to catch them at a rehearsal site. Currently have $3k saved for the season so far.

    The singing has over tones absolutely fantastic. The most beautiful sounds, and my favorite drum corps ever.

    Can someone explain what (number) air means? I've heard it in a lot of hornline warmups but I've never been taught that personally. Is it the amount of air they're using?

      @ethanlane1011 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Regiment '21-23 member here. The number refers to the number of counts it takes to completely run out of (practical) air. So after taking a full breath, 8-count air would mean we are completely out of air in 8 counts. We also connect them to written dynamics, like piano equals 16 count air, mp=12, f=8, ff=6, etc.

      @@ethanlane1011 Thank you! This is super helpful. I might use this some day.
