    This is really amazing! I Could save a lot of time I spent on coloring 3d prints ;) but I guess its not affordable for private use, but maybe in a decade!

      Hello! Yes, we make industrial 3D printers for professional use. But we recently launched a smaller version of this printer. Still an industrial 3D printer, but we believe with the more affordable price tag, it will make professional full colour 3D available to a wider audience :) Check out the Mimaki 3DUJ-2207 : www.mimakieurope.com/reinventyourwork/

      We're still trying to make more people aware of the potential of full colour 3D printing. In fact, we're going to participate in formnext, the leading show for industrial 3D printing, next week in Frankfurt, Germany! Plus, this month we will be posting a lot of 3D content on our Instagram account: instagram.com/mimaki_europe/ 😀

      @@aryaprincess2479 I'll reiterate. Are you willing to spend 50k+?
      This is very fancy new technology that has not had a long development cycle. It's purposes are rather niche and decently well defined. Because of the very high precision required for the tech, there's no way I imagine it'll be cheaper any time soon. I'd be pleasantly surprised if it was under 1-2k for a desktop printer.

      That's a great question. We work with a network of resellers across the globe, so for price and availability, you can find a Mimaki dealer near you via our website. We always recommend our customers to do their research first before purchasing a 3D printer - after all, we make industrial 3D printers that can offer new business opportunities. In case you're interested in what our 3D printers can do, feel free to check out our Instagram, we will be posting a lot more 3D content on our stories and feed: instagram.com/mimaki_europe/

      The smaller version is a little cheaper than 40k$. Still expensive of course and not meant for private usage. A small business can benefit from it a lot though, imagine someone selling miniatures owning one of these. He will be able to make ready miniatures consistently and no need for professional painters to finalize the item.

    What are the DPI's of both printers?

    • @MimakiEurope
      @MimakiEurope  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Conor, the heads are capable of printing up to 1200dpi. But in 3D printing, they usually use layer thickness as a reference for built quality. For more info about our 3D printers: www.mimakieurope.com/products/3d/

      @@MimakiEurope Thanks for the reply. I have a good general knowledge of 3D printing. I see that the standard layer thickness is 28 microns which is quiet impressive. I asked about the DPI because it was not mentioned in the information I had read and I have good experience of printing high resolution prints on Epson wide format printer. My interest is for 3D color terrain modeling. I saw you had one sample print of something like that. What I don't know yet is how much bleeding there is in such prints (if any). 1200 DPI is quiet impressive. If the result was like 1200 DPI printed on photo paper on an Epson it would have great potential for my application. I print with 1440 DPI on the Epson and it's amazing. How can I find out more about the print sharpness, bleeding etc.
