Ok, all joking aside, this is a fully scale, fully functional portal turret I have been working on for the past half a year. It is a completely 3D printed, scale 1:1 turret from the game portal. It can open and close, move its guns around, and has a laser in it's eye that can be aimed. A camera in the turret can track targets, and it can shoot said targets with 4 nerf guns. I wouldn't be surprised if Valve didn't make another Portal game before 2022. The reason for 2022 you ask? It'll be a decade since Portal 2 at that point and just *maybe* once that happens Valve will release another Portal game. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

This is so cool to see because I have been making my own life size turret over the past year, and documenting my progress on Reddit. It is crazy to think that the one you made back in 2014 was part of the inspiration for me to looking into how make my own, so it is so cool to see how much progress you have made. There aren't many real turrets out there, but yours really helped to give me ideas especially in regards to the internals. I just hope mine can come out as nice as this.
I know it's like, really against the laws of robotics and all, but I really wanna see a turret replica that actually shoots bullets (with the shells still on them of course) at a dangerous enough speed to that the turret can actually kill.

This is actually accurate. Considering they use a spring load mechanism rather than gun powder to fire the bullets, the bullets would realistically be super weak.

And the Turret opens up to reveal guns!
One could easily strap four 9mm SMGs onto that thing. Slap a good targeting camera and heat sinks, a bunch of tiny servos to actuate the angle of each turret muzzle and Bob's your uncle!
