The video shows the true soul of Game of Thrones. All emotions, the love for each other, the anger and fear, the pain they suffer and every part of their life, their journey, their destiny. All those memories of people we loved and lost. Those who fought nobly and how they died, for what they died and what influence they had on our lives. Game of thrones tells a story about so many people who live and die for those who love them, for the things they believe in and for their people. About enemies who destroy each other but end up uniting and realizing that there is only one final enemy. Death, darkness, pain.I could watch Game of Thrones over and over again and every time I wonder how much happened. How much they've changed, developed, grown. I've cried so many times over a fictitious figure. Because they seem more real than most other things, even more real than my life. They show a friendship that can survive anything. They teach us something about the pain people suffer and how they survive it. Of real strength, even if it means pain and suffering. And about fate. About the true meaning of life and death, how valuable life makes it. It shows how even a single person without wealth, lands or armies can conquer an entire kingdom just because she believes in herself, because she never gave up and did everything for his dreams. It shows what people do for their family and for those who love them. Game of Thrones taught me, so many things, changed my life and my attitude to life itself. It made me stronger and let me get through so many difficult situations in my life. It reminds me that I can survive anything if I don't give up. And that everything that does not kill me makes me stronger, so that I can go on and one day come back and take revenge, burn my enemies and rise from the ashes. Thank you very much for this wonderful video to remind me of this important part of my life. ❤️
And then D&D came and made the shittiest season imaginable, which was then named season 8.

@@jessiwerner6042 A good death would be dying birthing Jon's children, which is what a lot of fans thought was going to happen. Died on the birthing bed just like her mother, and just like Jon's mother.
People tend to forget about what a masterpiece, unique and spectacular this tv show is just because of season 8 , but let this tribute be a reminder to eveyone, thank u for this.
people also dont seem to realize that only half of this show was good lol. it started dropping HARD with season 5 but people somehow only noticed it in the last season

Everything which Rises has to fall. Storyline didn't end as we wanted but it was the most righteous end for the well being of Westeros. It's relevant to our lives, Everything is destined to happen.
I was disappointed too and I feel the same. I felt I could not buy a full blu-ray after the ending. However, it's been almost a year now. This edited video is very beautiful and when I look at the big picture, it's still the best series for a time of fear and doom we are living these days, and the rise of many tyrant leaders around the globe. it's time for us to take a look inside ourselves and ask how we could have been so supporting of a character (or other characters) who clearly had a very dark side. Who meant to kill anyone who stood on the way of her own will. Dany did have a humane side, but how come we ignored her flaws as a leader? Are we willing to support Danys in our real lives?
This is the best tribute of the show I’ve ever seen!

Even after season 8 we all shouldnt forget that this show is a masterpiece, amazingly written with amazing characters. I'm asking myself how long will it take to create a show which is equal to this masterpiece. I'm pretty Sure Game of Thrones is the best Series ever created, even though the last season had some problems with character Development

The show dropped in quality for a long time. Season 7 was almost as bad as season 8, with terrible dialogue, horrible pacing, and hundreds of plot holes and inconsistancies
Every time I hear Danys scream on the back of Drogon, I get chills. Emilia Clarke, you gave so much to this roll...my hat is off to you...
What is sad, is that Daenerys came with a honorable motive, yet, she turn into what she wanted to destroy.... And in the end, the wheel was never destroyed. This time, the wheel was lead by the starks.
@@btech5652 while im not a fan of Daenarys, she had everything to be a better character, sadly D&D ruin her. I may understand the madness if it was better build, which was not. For the sake of Fanservice put Targaryans only as mad. Which is not, i dont follow the mythology of the books, but the real fans, know that good and honoreble Targaryans exists. The fact that her brother was insane, and also putting Daenarys, kinda too much.
Another thing that annoys me is the fact that Lannisters and Cersei kinda get a free passe of the things they done, and Daenarys doesnt. People take time to understand and excuse Cersei actions, while Daenarys is immediatly condemn. Cersei suffer some things that Daenarys did, like raped (Cersei says that sometimes Robert kinda force her) be a trading card (marrying Robert for Twyn services) are examples. While Cersei become vicious and cruel knowing she was doing bad to others, as an excuse to "poor me, my father doesnt appreaciate me" is accepted by the fans. But Daenarys, living in the streets or house and house, been abused by her brother (probably sexually too) sold to a rapist (lets face it Khal Drogo raped her) having to adapt to a cruel world, dealling with mostrous scenarios, and travelling home. Losing two best friends, two dragons, half of Dothraki (at this point they were her family) half of the unsullied (at this point they were her friends) loosing love again (first Khal in Essos, later jon in westeros) and still having to smile and "i cannot do bad things, because im good". Lets not mention varys conspyring against her, Tyrion protecting Cersei and Jamie, Sansa Scheming against her. Obvious she would break. I dont agree with her decision, but i can understand her position...
The wheel WAS destroyed though... sort of, rulers will now be chosen.
Wheel was destroyed as upcoming rulers would be chosen by the reputed and wise lords of Westeros.

I just found this video and I am not embarrassed to admit that I actually teared up a bit. This video captured the heart of What Game of Thrones actually (Or was). It shows how real these characters were. All the pain, the anger, fear, love and happiness they we all feel in our daily lives, THEY felt. These characters have made us realize what it truly felt like to live. To learn and to experience. In a world that is so unforgiving, they have taught us how to survive it. Whether they were successful or not, they taught us more because we grew with them. We saw how each character dealt with their problems, and felt their very emotion in each scene. Quick props to the cast for making us feel certain ways for characters. Though I definitely had problems with how it ended alongside many others, It's safe to say that we have all taken a lesson away from this show. This show had inspired me to hope. To dream more. To persevere through the struggles and challenges life throws at me. Inspired me to pursue my longing goals in the face of doubt. Even take some hints of revenge when it serves justice to me or others. On top of that: You edited clips from Season 8 and made them look and sound so much better. Claps to you!

I’m actually crying this is so beautiful and I don’t know how you so perfectly put a whole story with multiple stories within itself , all into one video and ended it so perfectly. Stories are truly the most powerful thing on earth. And you just put one life changing story into ONE video. And you did it beautifully. This is amazing. The fact that you made such a complex, detailed, in depth and what would be a chaotic story (if you don’t watch the whole series ) into a 10 minute video that is just as deep but STILL ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE and is still in an ORGANIZED fashion..🤯 that’s talent and this video is breathtaking. Thank you A Song of Fire and Ice / Game of Thrones for another powerful and impactful story we will never forget.
I'm not sure if I will watch again a show like this for the rest of my life, so the wise thing to do is to enjoy this moment and ignore all the criticism of the last season. We lived in era of GOT. Thank you for the amazing video.
People can say whatever they want about the last season, but the fact is that there will never be a show quite like Game of Thrones again. We have been lucky to be able to experience the show from the very start. All the theories, speculation, hope and hype between episodes and seasons was unique. The world, story and characters created by GRRM is so vast, detailed and complex. Now we must look forward to his next books and the planned spin-offs.
Let me sing to you, a song about a girl, who willing to unite the Seven Kingdoms, a girl that every dragon will follow her command. Let me sing to you a song, that told the war the Knights of the Winter. Let me sing to you a song of a very end, a song of ice and fire

I got chills when I heard the overlapping "if you'll have me"s and then realized there were still nine incredible minutes left. And then it kept happening. This is truly wonderful to watch. I CANNOT stress enough how much I love this show and how much I was looking forward to rewatching it multiple times after it ended but that last season really hurt me. I'm sad to say that my wife and i wont be bothering to rewatch it ever which is so sad. At least the journey was amazing, shame about the destination. Unfortunately the journey wasnt worth the treasure at the end but damn what a journey it was. RIP to my favourite show for 6 years straight. That title goes back to Breaking bad 😔

It was. The only problem was it was something far different from what people are used to, something far more daring and audacious. It is a sad fact of life that sometimes the greatest works of art get trashed immediately upon release because people simply don't have the context for appreciating it. Videos like this go a long way to connecting all the pieces together and thus providing the necessary context.
@@SerbAtheist you're right to a degree. But that's not why people hate season 8. They hate it because it was rushed. It all happened so fast...it just didn't make sense. The story isn't bad, just the fact that they crammed it into 6 episodes.

I don't believe this for a second. It's like the old 'the food here is so horrible and the portion sizes are too small' joke. How I Met Your Mother took its extremely slow and sweet time to tell its story and yet it was panned IN EXACTLY THE SAME WAY! It's not about length, it's about the desired outcome, plain and simple. You could have given these complainers 10 more seasons of development and they still wouldn't have ever accepted Evil Dany or Jaime returning to Cersei.
Of course the story at the end did not make sense if somewhere along the line you forgot what Game of Thrones was and started viewing it as either a conventional hero's journey narrative, a girl-power revenge fantasy or a sprawling mythology. But Game of Thrones is none of these: it is a thematic allegory which purposefully deconstructs the tropes inherent in these kinds of genres. If you paid close attention to the THEMES of the show, literally every single thing about the ending makes perfect sense. Watching those last few episodes was like seeing carefully laid fireworks go off in spectacular fashion.
@@SerbAtheist I'm fine with the ending. It's just that Daenerys going mad didn't make sense. She started off to "break the wheel" which was crushing the innocents beneath it. However, she became the very thing she swore to destroy. I admit, she went through a lot. But it just doesn't make sense to me. She went mad all of a sudden after Missandei's death, it just didn't seem believable.
They crammed multiple significant moments in an episode, which is why Jon Snow riding the dragon didn't give the same feel as Daenerys first riding it.
It's just as bad as taking the pacing extremely slow as it is extremely fast. Slow gets a bit boring. Fast crams too much together, taking away the grand feeling of those moments. They also fail to explain stuff.
This is just my opinion. I respect and understand yours too.
@@SerbAtheist nope. the story was not only rushed but it was nonsensical. characters made decisions that made absolutely no sense (daenerys committing genocide, a team of veterans setting trebuchets in front of their army, etc.) and it completely ruined the show. i absolutely dont believe that you wouldnt notice the insane difference between the writing of season 1 and season 8. if you think theyre anywhere near each other's quality then youre lying

Your editing is outstanding and the music choice was perfect. And you included Edd! He was my favorite character, and he is often overlooked and forgotten. The way you put Jon’s funeral speech over the scenes of the characters at the end was chilling.

Even as a boy i was fascinated by these type's of stories but alas being a boy and growing up in the inner city of Boston i had no clue as to who J RR MARTIN OR J RR TOLKIEN was. I am very thankful that G.O.T was brought to the screen. Ive bought all the books and DVDs. A treasure to say the least. I will read these to my grandchildren as soon as i have some.

I didn't watch the show every year season by season...i have binge watched it last month n it took me around a month to complete it..I had tears in my eyes while i saw the last season..Anyways..GOT was the best show I've ever seen n will see in my life..

I remember few months ago watching every last two episodes of every season, every 3 weeks. A friday night after friday night until season 8 came to day and ended. Best memories from 2019-2020 and where some precious memories came to light with my good friend who left only just 3 months ago... This show even though had its cons, it was a beautiful show that showed the power and beauty of great writing, storytelling, action and tragedy and also built some of my fondest and dearest memories to this very day.

The absolute best GoT edit i have ever seen
I cried watching it. The true storyline were discovered, I saw all the narrative arch of the charaters. I saw Dany and I miss her so much,she didn't deserve it as everyone on this show. I cried also for Cersei and Jaime for the sentances you put on the scenes, it was intense. The sentances that you used were perfect and full of feeling and truth. I said thanks you to all of the crew behind GoT for the mastepiece they created,I can't forget what they've done to season 8 but they gave my this and I can't stop loving it. One of the things that made me hate them is Daenerys. My queen, killed in that way and after something that everyone would done. It look like they forgot what Tywin Lannister did, what Cersei did and they condemned only her. They broke her and they they killed her. They didn't care of what she past,they didn't care of how she became a queen from nothing,they just cared of their position and power.

I asked on one of your other GoT videos if you could do this and you did and let me tell you it was more than I could have ever expected! This was truly an emotional journey watching this video, beautifully edited, amazingly prosecuted, well thought through. I very rarely get excited over TH-cam videos, or ever get so into them, but those ten minutes flew by, this was by far one of the best TH-cam videos I've watched since your other GoT edits, and even then, this one is the cherry on the cake.
