Aemond really does represent the greatest tragedy of the Dance. Dilligent, focused and strong, but raised as a weapon by the Greens. He has always had something to prove, a fact that would endanger him throughout his childhood and leave him little more than a child when the war began. Alicent had plenty of problems when she fell into queenship but she really was not equipped to be a mother to so many children when she was so young. That Aemond represents her best work as a mother is a reflection of how cruel the Game of Thrones is to the women and children embroiled in it.
Vhagar is a War Dragon. Not only that, she helped Conquer 7 separate Kingdoms with Visenya Targaryen on her back. She’s not just a Queen, she’s thee Queen. People sometimes forget this or simply don’t know.

But leaping from dragons back sealed his fate. So it was draw. Blacks lost as much. Even more cuz lose of Daemon sent Rhaenerys even deeper into madness and in the end Greens won thanks to that and history remembers King Aegon II and princess Rhaenyra as fat whore. Nettles was spotted many years later living as savage, half-mad and starved, ALONE in cavern together with her dragon.

I am for the Blacks. Otto and Alicent created the rift between the children for their own means. Alicent has some redeeming qualities, but got caught up in her sanctimony. Otto plotting to kill Rhaenyra all those years was unforgivable given his supposed “friendship” with the king.
