The PS5 Pro will be a worthwhile upgrade for those who own a PS4 as they'll experience the graphical/performance boost (specifically native 4K). Given the state of console markets, I don't think the performance jump between PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro will be as significant as what we've seen since the PS5 is already pretty capable.

Good points. One thing most people will never mention is Optical (Toslink) audio out: how it's missing on the PS5, and how a potential PS5 Pro needs to address this and add it back. I'd definitely wait if I knew this was coming.
I have a PS4 Pro and I can hook it up to my PC's audio system directly with an optical cable. The fact that the PS5 requires a workaround solution (an HDMI extractor sitting in-between) is just silly
By now all of the heavy consumers should’ve gotten they’re hands on a Ps5, especially with so many slims being easily purchasable online . With that being said leave the Pro to those who still haven’t gotten the Slim, OG & Digital, and been saving up for one ever since the release..but to each’s own. like always im sure if your not in the club already you’ll have to wait alongside others to get in, so when it releases better grab a Pro quick
I think all ppl are expecting is it to play the base ps5s fidelity modes at 60fps keep in mind this isn't a generational leap maybe we'll get a better vrr range but give us what the ps5 plays at 30 upped to 60 and im in.

The PS5 was already advertised as doing that...Really it was supposed to be 4k 120fps (I'm goin to look over the 8k bs, b/c that isn't even in the equation, but at the minimum every game should run at 4k 60fps minimum ...I think both systems has upgraded their hardware digitally thru updates b/c theres a few games that play & run sooo much better than they did at launch, so u don't have to buy the new system b/c the only thing they're pushing Is it runs a little faster & has more memory
@BreakHarpe bro sony said the ps5 would do 4k and 120fps not 4k at 120fps to hit 4k/120 at the settings and rez ps5 is pushing u need a 4090 so don't expect that even from the pro ... give us native 4k/60 with the quality settings on that ps5 uses and we're talking a console with preference of a 3070/80 ... nothing to moan about there.
Hey I’m watching this video because I planned on buying my first ever ps5 ( really soon) but now I’m conflicted ( more so confused) do I wait to buy a ps5 because the pro will be much better? Or can I just get a regular ps5 now or slim ? I just don’t wanna feel left out of (any crazy new features if it makes the current ps5s obsolete I hope they don’t make it that way lol) I appreciate any and all info from anyone I’m not sure if I should wait or if I can just go and buy a ps5 now and it won’t be a problem (like what if they make gta 6 ps5 pro only or somethin) I doubt it but idk
Get the pro bro. I'm gaming on the bunk switch (the original mind you) lol imagine how conflicted I was when I got that instead of the base PS5. I wasn't about to correct my mistake/buyer's remorse by spending more money so I waited this long. The PS6 I've read time and time again that there are no looks for it to come out BEFORE 2028. Not 2026, not 2027, but 2028 or after. People need to do more research and read between the lines. Articles tend to skate around the topic and throw around dates, but the true sources with collected info would make sense that the PS6 will not be out before 2028 so people can fully utilize the PS5 Pro along with the base model, giving them the opportunity to either stay with what they have or upgrade to the new gen--PS6. This would be a more practical marketing and financial strategy for Sony because people will always have the option available and would have a better consensus of the consoles to see what is lacking in order to fulfill their gaming needs. And as I have stated before, people who have money, regardless if they need the latest thing or not, will ALWAYS buy whatever is out just for the hell of it. So people afraid of the PS6's fate need not worry. In fact, by 2028 and after, people will be more than hyped/wiling/financially equipped to look forward to buying the PS6 and Sony just might make the marketing strategy to charge more for the console at this point. All the things wrong with the PS5 gen or lack there of will be solved or even boosted with new features with the PS6 to make sure it's considered the next gen. There's always going to be a market for the new and any good business knows this. People with less money even out the market by saving and waiting, it's all a part of the larger plan. The savers and waiters have no choice at the end but to upgrade to something new and it doesn't have to be the latest device...that's why there are options. This way, everyone benefits to some degree.

same with me, I am looking to buy my first ever play station now that I am earning and can afford lol. I am super confused if I should wait a few months more since Ive been waiting to buy a PS for around 10 years but couldnt afford it lol.
I’m in a weird spot right now, my ps5 has been crashing while playing ps5 games after about 30 mins to an hour and a half. I’m stuck on weather to send it into sony and pay up to $240 for it to be fixed or replaced or should i just hold out for a few months and get the pro for an extra $200-$300 extra dollars.

I’ll wait because of the new games coming in the fall I’m looking forward to. That funkopop game, sonic x shadow generations, & some other games I'll edit when I find them. Upgrading from an Xbox one s the experience for me was dissapointing. Dashboard was laggy, bad input lag happened often, storage was lacking, and it takes a really long time to download games. I did a factory reset and was still having those same issues with it. My dad said he'll buy me a Playstation this Christmas, hopefully it'll be the ps5 pro

I just know when I spend my money on devices, I want to have the best experience; especially when it comes to gaming. I made the mistake of thinkin that the switch would fulfill my gaming needs...boy was I infuriatingly wrong; this after coming back from a long hiatus of not gaming and adulting. So similar to you, when I get extremely mad after playing a multiplayer game on my switch (which is often), I either go to a switch related forum and take out my frustration on fanboys, or go to a channel/articles that has info on the PS5 Pro to calm my nerves and give me hope. I've read just about all I can read up on the Pro, so Ik it's only a matter of time that I will truly be happy (or at least happier) when it's up for ordering. My background is in PC gaming and most first gen consoles...so I do know what I'm talking about when it comes to having a device that matches your progression when gaming. You need the hardware to keep up. PC is too fussy, but plug n play is the simple life 🤌. Nobody is realizing that all the games will soon be on all platforms, so blaming the devs of the games will no longer be an excuse. Graphics are not even the deciding factor as well (unless it's as bad as the switch in third party games)...it's about the speed and smoothness without hindering your progression. Anyways lol, bro like you I do the same and just can't wait tbh and watch in hope to keep me occupied.
It amazes me how many videos are out there about a system that hasn’t been announced.You people realize its just a rumor and people assume it will be a ps5 pro only because they made a ps4 pro
Ray Tracing and PSSR are the wildcards. 2-3x ray tracing increase means nothing to us right now because it will let developers do fundamentally different things. We don't know the quality of PSSR's upscaling. The base power upgrade is modest it seems.

It's already supposed to run at 4k 120fps & 4k 60fps at the minimum & recently it looks like the next gen hardware are starting to upgrade...So that lets u know u dont need new hardware to get better performance. Even spiderman 2's performance looks dope asf now...Hopefully 2025 will be the year we see Next Gen really be next gen...I think they had to sacrifice alot features b/c they were trying to make next gen games be playable on last gen consoles, so hopefully next year every game will be next gen only

my last PS was the PS1, I only need a Playstation to play GTA6 (there are probably many people), so I will wait for the Pro and "invest"/burn the money for a PS5 in a new GPU later when the PC Version comes out. This is when you can sell your PS5 Pro.

Nah i don't need ps5 pro to play gta 6 , on teh series x and ps5 I still can get 60fps because my tv is 1080p if my tv was 4k then I would get like 30fps For me 60fps 1080p is absolutely fine. An Xbox series x & ps5 cost 500$ and a ps5 pro may cost 650$ so 150$ I may buy like games like forza 5 for series x or god of war spiderman 2 for ps5 and i still would have some dollar's.Buying an ps5 pro that cost 650$ just to play gta 6 with better performance it's not worth it , and you may sey but in different games ps5 pro will perform better 🤓
NoNo buying a ps5 or xbox series x the performance is enough you don't need all that performance.As for xbox series x or ps5 both are great for the performing get series x and for games get ps5 both are 👍🏻 great .
