The NYX lip reminds me a lot of the super long-wearing, drugstore liquid lipsticks that were huge when I was in high school. Especially that it doesn’t come off; maybelline used to sell a special remover for it and it would still stain you lips if you used a bright shade.

It's always so funny when I see the Brand Essence and the products you can still buy in the USA. I'm from Germany and Essence/Cosnova (the company who ownes this brand) is based in Germany. What I think is funny, is just the fact that you can still buy products in the USA which we can't buy in germany anymore. you will get the perfect pink lip color with the frog prince lipstick by just applying ONE LAYER ONLY don't wear it as how you wear your regular lipstick, try the one layer tip and you will get your perfect pink lip shade

Frog Prince once used to be a "TH-cam made me buy it"... now, TikTok I wanted to try the Essence one when I saw someone talking about it on TH-cam, but they were no longer in my Ulta store.
I tried the lifter gloss for the first time today and I’m a big fan of it! I don’t think it’s as thick as the Fenty gloss, and I like the smell of the Fenty gloss way better, but it still made my lips look nice and juicy 💋 Also you need an oil based makeup remover to get off matte lipsticks! Trying to get them off with a wipe takes so much longer and dries out your lips!
Just an FYI, seeing as you enjoyed the smell of the Fenty gloss more. If you look at the cost per milliliter the Fenty is actually less expensive than the maybelline.

Essence has another lipstick that’s a dupe for the Frog Prince lipstick except the pink is more red and less purple than the Frog Prince one. I’ve gotten it before and I loved it
All changing colour lipsticks that advertise to be "your perfect pink" will change to that pink on you (it's usually a bright sheer pink on me but love that darker pink on you). I have the BarryM ones (a UK brand I think) the green to pink and the blue to purple (changes to a darker version of the former). But Boots (UK drugstore) also did a set of Harry Potter ones in the different house colours that all changed to the same pink (I think it's just how that formula works) they also stain the lips like crazy as you saw💄😅 Yes, I've bought nearly all the Nyx Shine Louds I could get my hands on and you definitely need one of those removers where you have to shake up the separated oil before use (like the Lancôme Bi-Facil). Also, one of my applicators was bent like yours but I managed to get a replacement which is a hard thing to do where I live (Belgium Europe) because you can't normally return makeup unless it really is faulty (so anything you don't like is tough luck there are no refunds).
