I love the vintage patterns!! I especially love drawings vs. photographs, I could stare at those drawings for hours as a kid and make up names and stories for all the women. Then to the Sears catalog to “buy” all the things for their houses! Thanks for the memories, Carmen.😄
The pattern that’s dated 2018 is a newer pattern. I know because I own it and have seen it. I used a green linen and did a line down the front using a decorative tape. I LOVE this top and every time I wear it I get so many compliments! It’s roomy but not “fluffy” looking. It also it perfect for this desert life in Tucson! Love you other patterns! 😎🌵🤠👏🏻👍🏻🧚🏻♀️
Hi Karen that is great to hear about that pattern. I may have to put that one in the next line up. Thank you for sharing that and thank you for watching 😀✂️🧵
Oh my goodness, I had forgotten what I even tucked in that box for you! This was really fun to see. I tried to pick vintage patterns that I thought had design lines that were fairly current, or could be interpreted for more of today’s look, and also in what I hoped was your size range. Now I can’t wait to see the second part of the vintage pattern haul 🤣 And you are so true, sewing does not have to be complicated. I am actually working on something right now that is only three pieces! No buttons, no buttonholes, no zippers. Oh! I almost forgot, the top that you called a baby doll top, we called them Smuch tops back in the early 70s. The style is so current now though, and it would look really good on you!
Hi Julie everything old is new again. That's the great thing about sewing. If you hold on to your patterns long enough you will always be in style 😀✂️🧵
Hey Countrygirls sews! I love that my pattern collected has grown this year and a large part of that has been for free! I can't wait to start sewing after we settle into our new home. Happy sewing 😀✂️🧵
Did you recognize any of these patterns? Which did you sew?

I made # 6313 back in 1975 or 76, I don't remember what meteral I used but the color was a wine. Wow Thank You for sharing!
Hey Diana thank you for stopping by. Do u still have the pattern? The style lines are coming back 😀✂️🧵
@@carmensalome No I don't have that pattern but I did find some of my old patterns in my mom's storage building.
The 80's dress with the pleated skirt would look great as just a skirt. The bodice is just too 80's.
Hey Kennett agree!! I had not thought of a skirt. Thank you for that inspo. Happy sewing 😀✂️🧵
I was thinking the exact same thing!
@@doctriestosew4333 great minds! 😀✂️🧵
