Terrific video! I have a pair of shears from my grandmother - they’re roughly 80 years old. They made a great decoration in my sewing room. I have two other pair of pinking shears that were in need of sharpening. I found your video and it worked! I was able to sharpen my grandmother’s shears!! What a great idea!

PS - your legs can totally rock that skirt. It's not tooooo short. Go for it!

The tip of the bottom blade of mine broke off cutting linen. I would not recommend.

Just got new pinking shears. They are so stiff. They have a bearing ball just like in the video. Do I put oil in there? Thanks!

Couldn't hear the scissors cutting because of the background music. Why did you have to spoil your video with that added noise? It didn't do anything useful. Your voice would sound fine without it.

LOSE THE MUSIC.......I want to hear you NOT the background LOUD MUSIC! You are giving an opinion review on a product. The music detracts from that. Just purchased a pair of these scissors. Current scissors are Fiskars.

I sewed a green boucle moto jacket this winter from a pattern in my stash. I just love it. Maybe I need another one in white, because I love how yours looks. FMF is my favorite online fabric store. I have been buying from them for over 20 years. I participated in their Fabricista Fashion Challenge contest in 2013. It was intense. I passed on the offer to be a Fabricsta because of time commitments, and the requirement to purchase current fabric for the makes. I had so much of their beautiful fabrics in my stash already.

Gorgeous jacket, Carmen! Love the material. Very classy! Uh, yeah, the skirt is a bit short for an older woman. A 20- or 30-something woman could get away with it, maybe even a 40-something woman. So many patterns I would love to make, but I'm not remotely the 30-something woman I used to be and wish I were (athletic, size 8 body). That body just doesn't exist anymore! We get new bodies in heaven, so maybe I can request that one. 🤣

BEAUTIFUL! I may reconsider Dana Marie. I had a pattern of hers from the past and did not like the instructions. Vogue Fabrics carries Dana Marie patterns also. Great job!

I try to avoid buying Chinese goods where I can. I don’t want to feed the dragon and I’d prefer to pay a little more (when I can afford to) for higher quality goods made in the West or by allies of the West eg Japan and Taiwan.

Hi Carmen! I was one amongst many that purchased sewing/craft items from Temu. Things like lace, elastic, ankara fabric, presser feet, buttons, and rulers were all a thumbs up while a majority of their sandals weren't so great in fit and appearance. The site was adictive at first but the buying experiences soon taught me better, lol. Thanks for sharing here on YT, Carmen!
