I don’t know but Dayton might have a rep that can come out and give you a run down of the lathe , the company I work for has had a rep come out and give a couple guys a run down on how to use a machine my company purchased . I don’t know what my company had to do to make it happen . It was a machine the same size as that lathe .. just a thought 🤷♂️

We used to get Tillmen gloves when I worked for the railroad. They were like 3 times as thick as the ones i find at welding stores. But that was 20 years ago lol. Idk if they were just better then or a different glove.. probably different i imagin the thinner glove has better dexterity
Although I don’t know anyone, I would suggest getting hold of PFI in Colorado. Bret is the guys name who owns it and he’s been into racing, and fabricating his whole life so he may know of someone in your area. You likely need a full roll cage eventually, not just a kit that you insert and they do it all. With him being well connected that will likely be of great advantage to you as well.
