Having lived in Guyana between 1965-1968 with my family, I am surprised that nothing about Mackenzie (now Linden) is mentioned. It was for decades a prosperous bauxite mining town.
FYI The USA has more oil than all of South America combined. And now is a net exporter of Oil over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Can you imagine when the US really takes the cap off. How much more Oil it can produce?
