I’ve been waiting for this game since its initial reveal and in all honesty I couldn’t be happier. I went in with no expectations and open mind and a hunger to sink plunder and explore and so far I’m in love with it. I love how humble you are and I feel like you have a great attitude towards gaming overall. Keep up the good work bro you are the only channel I can watch for this game 👍

It has a very Division feel, where the Division wasn't meant to be taken as a straight up open world shooter but instead an RPG with shooter mechanics. S&B to me is an RPG with ship mechanics, and I can't wait to see all of these interesting builds for the different classes available in the game

Same. I'm going to build the Snow (tank ship) for plundering ports. I'm building the Sambuk just to have a fire based ship. Not sure what I'm going to do with the brigantine. It's got a specialty for ramming and good stats. However, ramming is only part of the damage. May have it for a different style of close range combat. Demi-cannons on the sides.

If my calculations are correct, there is a way to trigger world bosses permanently. I managed to get the ghost ship permanently every night after the first mission.
I haven't much time to test it for Kuharibu, too.
I believe there is also the opportunity to trigger a big shark like Megalodon. I have to invest more time for research, but I haven't 😅
I'm Kingpin 2 with lvl 10 ship and played only on three days
and how do you trigger the ghost ship?
@ashbot-dh3yb you have to complete the first mission with the blue marker by destroying the ghost ship.
Then, I did many Helm contracts that led me roughly to the area where the boss spawns. While doing the contracts, I destroyed many Rouge ships. I didn't count, but it should be around 100 ships. Then I've got another mission from the nearby dock, this time with an orange star as a marker. This one is permanent, so every night, the ghost ship spawns in this area.
I will try to manage a similar outcome for Kuharibu if I find the time to play again.
I've got another hypothesis, but first, I have to trigger the permanent quest for Kuharibu.
Maybe it's possible to trigger another boss who's unknown at the time.

There are many content creators jumping on the hate train, but for what it’s worth, their usual argument is that this isn’t black flag, but fail to see that in this game you aren’t JUST controlling the ship. With the endgame and the helm, you play as a Kingpin naval commander that studies trade routes, changing economies, run smuggling operations. You truly take over the Indian Ocean

I’m loving the game so far, I would recommend not listening too the people complaining about it for no reason, it is actually pretty fun.
The game is very deep. I was surprised about being able to take over production buildings in a PvP mode to gain more pieces of eight when I reached kingpin. I do think that the levelling system could be a bit better because I hit kingpin within 2 days of full release. Yes I did hit brigand in the beta but I have a full time job yet it was still easy. I think that after brigand there should be a 50% reduction from contracts in the Red isles forcing you to look more to the East Indies. I also do not like how a lot of the best weapons and armour are locked behind the helm but I am rather hopeful that more content is added to reach ship rank 13 easier. Can’t wait to see if large ships come to the game too!
I just took notice of the game like 3 days before the beta. I've been enjoying it. It's almost the sid Meier's pirates game. I will say don't trust the map completely when exploring. I found a docking spot in an area the map had revealed but didn't show. No ❓ or anything. Also I think I've enjoyed the investigations most.

Great video, I am disappointed that this is not a pirate game but a pirate ship game. I got ubisoft+ so I could try the game. It's not bad... just not what a lot of us wanted.
Just a heads up for all who may not know but when you reach kingpin and think you’ll put on the best weapons you are in for a grind and you become a Amazon delivery sailor lol
Ive thrown this game aside now, got kingpin started on the helm, and the amount of issues has well driven me off, so my fair warning when you get there if not already.
What platform are you playing on?
@@Starfury_Apollo PC, ryzen 5, 4060 etc etc, no graphical issues, but between the pop up that just repeats even if u restart the game, and the missions for the helm u simply cannot complete because the AI want something different to what the mission says to unending spawn of hostiles because the games spawning everything in that spot for the mission for multiple enemies, input lag has been a struggle for me ship sails just don't respond, to when coming out of a loading screen u cant interact with anything or get back on ship so another game restart. carry on with expired death mark message that never goes away , i honestly believe the V1.0 is a lie and we are on a worse version of the game than what we played in the beta, hence the separate download for beta/game, which i wouldnt be surprised with as other companies have done it. its a shame cause im loving the game, kingpin 10 im at but the issues have done me in

I'm really happy that you're talking about the statistics of the beta and how it shows that this game can be a success without the haters crying about everything all the time. No game is perfect, ever. I'm easy to please when it comes to games and on top of that I personally have such a great time playing this.

@@Starfury_Apollo you got that right, little action and no adventure. all they did is take one aspect of AC4 BF, since the sailing and ship combat is nearly a 1 to 1 rip off, and downgraded it. sure, they added lots of cosmetics and some new weapons, but that is it. ok, they added opt in pvp events. but, hey we all needed World of Warships, 'Pirate Edition'. We, the fans, begged for an AC4 BF that is all pirate and no assassin, what we got (after 10 years) is a downgraded section of AC4 BF. How in the heck, do you fail an open book test. They had the blueprint, right there.... All they had to do was tweak it, make an all Pirate story, add some multiplayer and stroll on in to the GOTY awards. instead they completely gutted the experience, changed it to a Games as a Service model, added even more grindy crap, then have the audacity to claim it is a 'AAAA' game and worth extorting $70 out of you. the only pirates in skull & bones is ubisoft.

You and I have VERY different ideas about what depth means. Shitty inventory systems do not fill the requirement for depth in my opinion.

You need to claim them from the mail and then just follow the clues they give you they're really easy

Im at End Game. own 13 productions.. generate 450ish gold per hour "passively." Yes, it does generate gold passively, but you can only collect gold from 1 production spot, then drop the gold off to Saint annes(to claim it) then go back out and do it again to the other productions you own.. 1 by 1 by 1 by 1.. tedious af
I also have the best in slot weapons for my ship. So, there is nothing else for me to really do except figure out a more efficient way to farm gold. But for what ?? Only boss I haven't solo'ed is the lvl 12 Dutch guy. He's an actual group event, tho lol
I was sceptical about this game after everything that's happened. However during the open beta I went from yeah it's meh to playing more and more. Definitely some things that aren't great but the more I play the more enjoyable it becomes
I just want there to be PVP lobbies or when you jump into a PvP event you get matched with other people doing it

The spawn rate for Rogue ships during helm deliveries is hilarious and annoying.. they can spawn right in front of helm delivery locations and stop you 😂 at one point, i had 8 Rogue ships chasing me, and 2 more spawned in front of me 😂 like what the actual f ..

Ahoy! couple pirate captains sound like a great time you lucky git ^v^ People tend to look at the base top of a game when it comes out specially if they're not fans of the studio instead digging into what makes the game unique itself and why is it classed as a MMO etc. I spent hours into the game and I wouldn't of continued playing if it was not good, waiting for the official release so I can play during that time I am making guides which shows more of the game and how they put thought into side activities. My entire opinion and I have no insider knowledge at all I just feel like the north west is part of the season 1 content AND the other white areas of the map is part of future seasons and that entire white area is their minimum goal of extension for content.
Paying for not Finished game full price and maybe paying for battlepass just to "hope" the game will get better
I hated this game and instantly regretted buying it. I've been playing it, forcing myself to play it basically - and now that I've upgraded my ship and explored a bit I actually kinda enjoy it lol.. It is deep for sure. I'd like to see a graphical upgrade to consoles though because wow it looks fugly at times
I hated the beta, stuck with it for about 10 more hours and now I can't stop thinking about the game. It won't resonate with everyone, but I'd bet that if they just put in more time into the early game experience it would pop off.

I think not as much at the time because the available end-game ships with one slightly exception are pretty similar when it comes to speed.
The loot from the legendary treasures aren't that well if you are nearly maxed out.
I am Kingpin 2 and have a lvl 10 Padewakang. I am focusing more on Helm Contracts to get better weapons
3.2 million hours at sea is not that much tbh. The beta was like 72 hours and if people played half of that time, its only about 100K people. Even if 200k tried beta, its not much. For a game that cost 200 million to make.... thats nowhere near enough players.
I have played sea of thieves since launch. I have also played AC black flag. I havent tried this game and to me it looks fun but i see so so so much negativity about it probably from people who havent even played it. Should I get it?
I played Black Flag and Rogue, I have a few hundred hours in sea of thieves. This game shouldn't be compared to them. It's a naval combat open world RPG. Better compared to the Division (or even Forza Horizon according to IGN). It's a lot of fun and its in its infancy and will only get better with a strong community.
People have been entirely blind to what this game has to offer because of the hate train. I am convinced people are making hate videos because the massive bandwagon formed around hating the game bring in money for those greedy youtubers.
Far deeper than most shallow reviews Ive seen lead gamers to believe. A pirate rather keeps his cash but for this one I'm dropping real Silver for obvious reasons. I know what you mean.

I’ve pvp as much as I could and it’s kinda lame cat and mouse with almost no rewards for even sinking other players. So I ask what can I do that I haven’t done in the beta?

Helldivers on the other hand is because that game lives up to the expectations.
Meanwhile people literally barf that skull and bones can't live up to the legend that is black flag.
Boarding ships on your own and fighting both on ships as well as on land and joining fort raids in person were the coolest things ever in black flag.
Meanwhile skull and bones is cutscenes only from what is seen so far.
Yes ship combat, mobile phone resouces gathering and hunting, building your own loadouts and ships while you explore the map and raise your infamy might be fun for now but it won't last.
Combat different from ship to ship combat is necessary in a pirate game.
Most of us who played black flag were expecting the magnum opus of a pirate game multiplayer that is a real contender to sea of thieves ubisoft has yet to deliver.
Delay after delay we waited patiently because we expected a fullly finished master piece.
What we got was a half-baked product with a full price tag on it and microtransactions everywhere.
If you have any respect for yourself you don't pay 60 to 70 bucks for a game that is only worth 30 to 40 maximum in its current state.
Good on you if you have fun.

Black Flag really has achieved legendary I would argue almost mythical status. People seem incapable of looking back at that game in reality, and instead see a nostalgic perfect game. Black flag was a fantastic third person open world single player game.... but was an average assassins creed game, had a very shallow combat system that you could literally snooze though with massively generous counter windows. Not to mention the bugs.... and I don't mean at release, I mean now in its final version.
Combat at hand to level is necessary for a third person action adventure pirate game. But not a fantasy naval combat multi-player game with RPG mechanics..... It would have been two games in one, and would never balanced.
Delays are unfortunate but does not mean a bad final product at all.
How do you define half baked?
Microtransactions everywhere? Where? There is a store (Like all live service games have)....... but you have to open it. Not once is it shoving in your face while playing.
Also $90 CAD for potentially hundreds of hours of entertainment......... I couldn't take my family of 4 to the cinema and get snacks for less than a $100 for about 2 hours of entertainment.

You can't possibly put an opinion on depth with only 3 hours into a game, sorry come back when you have 100 hours and still tell us it's deep. I don't have much more into game then you but i watched hundreds of hours of gameplay from streamers with the key, i think game doesn't have a lot of depth at all, but honestly i still am playing it. I just don't think game will hold my attention for long. lack of land or ship to ship boarding combat is a big disappointment. treasure hunting in game is a joke. harvesting is boring, crafting is boring. basically ship combat is only thing going for it and that is mostly all pve, the few pvp events are few and far between and pvp your level doesn't matter so it feels like all work you put in leveling up your ship power doesn't matter in that sense. there isn't a whole lot of end-game activities from all videos i watched, just 4 or so different events that pop up at different times. honestly this feels a bit dumbed down compared to games like Valhalla and all, but I will try to keep playing and enjoy what it has. Roadmap also only seems to be adding small things to game like more cosmetics maybe more ships missions and basic things, no big expansions or entire new gameplay i doubt at this point. ubisoft doesn't exactly make major updates to games after release, just small things. I hope i am wrong though.
