(spearing them)....And Also They need to add some type of huge harpoon gun to put in front of your ship to go hunting for sea monsters... it'll be cool to harpoon the monster with some huge giant spear with a rope attached and them drag your ship around the ocean while your crew is spearing the monster from the deck of the ship
I mainly play in first person while sailing, I find it works well for me in in combat. And you're right the combat is really fun and looks great! I think the audio really adds to it aswel.
Yes the audio is fantastic when your at sea! The creaking of the wood. The sound of the waves and wind. And not to mention your crew singing and shouting.
Coop on this game is really fun. I hope more people give it a try. I got that first manufactory and don't know if I could be less interested lol. I would rather be hunting down big convoys or something
Yeah, the combat is like something out of an action movie. I was in high seas last nights with the Caravan, wow. Just WOW. Taking my time slowly exploring, harvesting, supply runs, upgrades. I'm in a Cutter and really enjoying how it handles. Gonna spend the day looking for mats for Brigantine, then I just might actually do some Quest progression. Scurlock has been expecting me for days now. Refreshing to see other players enjoy it so much as well. Taking my time and relishing every scene and sound. Also still trying to figure out Bombadier aiming lol. Fair Winds! ⚓🏴☠
All I want in this game is frigates, man o wars, galleons and ship of the line ships. Those 4 specifically. It would add so much depth and intense combat in pve
I would love to see a first person multiplayer event (kind of like how warzone did a third person mode) as i agree it is more immersive, but no one will play first person in a regular event as it has no advantage
They should have done it so you set up your own den in the Africa coast they could have done mission getting key members of your den and have various different settlement styles and colours and you could stock it with items you find in open to sell and could be a passive income
personally I'm not a huge fan of pvp games, but i like skull and bones, the only thing i can wish for at the minute is full blown pve servers, its nearly impossible for me at the minute to get any manufacturing because of the demand, and the only way to get as good as other players is by have just as good weapons as them and at the minute you can only get the best of the best through gold, so at the minute all the game is, the quickest players to get all of the best stuff get the best stuff which then stops other players from also getting that stuff, i feel like this will become more of an issue though when the current season ends.
I hope we get to play as the dmc warship as our first large ship i mean story wise it would make the most sense (also cant find the darn hull color and sail color for the dmc faction)
Well if you think Ubisoft is watching I'll puke out a few ideas. 1st; Allow us to invest in our manufacturers twice so it doesn't feel so much like a mobile game for the end game. It's so frustrating wanting to log out for the night and seeing a timer has only ten minutes left. 2nd; There should be a African Kingpin and hub area to run the Helm businesses from. Why this is not already a thing mystifies me. 3rd; Each Helm location should have a bounty board. When you have taken over every manufacturer in a region it should begin a rumor quest on the bounty board to track down this infamous captain. Once you defeat him he will now collect all of your pieces of eight in that area and have them waiting for you at one of the ports. So instead of collect from 19 places in the Red Isles you would only collect from 5. It's crazy to think anyone wants to just sail around to 76 ports to collect pieces of eight. 4th; Supply missions need a big haul mission set. This mission would not be buying raw materials but taking them either through plunder or convoy but it will fill your hold with the raw material so the larger the hold the larger the payout and if you turn it in you would receive 50,000+ silver pieces. This would help you feel more like a Kingpin getting paid from both ends of the business. 5th; This one is kind of like the 3rd suggestion. After bringing the whole map under your control three new missions would become available where you would need to do convoy missions until you finally force the convoy lead to collect all of your pieces of eight to one place in each zone so you would only have 3 collection spots instead of 18. I'll stop blathering away now. I think these suggestion would make achieving more have real benefits. Right now with how intensive the babysitting is in the Red Isles I have no desire to get bigger to just have even more busy work that isn't fun. Let me create a empire and reap the benefits.

Totally agree about how great the combat is! So the first step to get good in game is your weapons and blueprints for furniture? I was wondering what to do first step wise 🤔
I would say first get your weapons. There are many different options, and you should try them out to see what you like. Once you have weapons that you like, then you can look to getting the furniture that compliments those weapons. I'm kingpin, and have 130+ hours and i still haven't crafted a single furniture. All the furniture i am using, i just found in the world by doing missions or getting them from treasure maps.
Even so, I'm collecting as many blueprints as I can get my hands on. I guess I'm in collector mode. However, most of the stuff I have, I didn't even craft.@@xSTONYTARKx
I spent £95 on the premium version and I have loved every second of it and do not feel robbed at all. I really don’t understand all the hate this game gets I really think it is players only N playing the first couple of hours and not seeing everything that this game offers later on. I just hope it really grows
Get the sambuk and load it up on a fire build, it is nasty, i do recommend the royal custodian armor but watch out for torpedoes or anything that causes flooding,
Maybe they can add more ships like a man of war and add more to the map and make it bigger and maybe sword and hand to hand combat maybe?? Most likely a long shot to add more land exploration and hand to hand combat but overall a cool idea to add if it can work out but overall I would love to see more ships and more of the map to explore
When it comes to avoiding pvp in hostile takeovers. I continously scan the options available till I find one that has no participants. Then I fast travel to the location, hang outside of it until there is like 5 seconds left till it starts, then I join. Other players can still join but usually I can get the event to my self .
It seems to me most are pretty polite. When I was down to my last 2 takeovers I selected the only hostile takeover I was offered and only one person joined before bowing out about 5 seconds later. I think in a game of pirates most of us just want to avoid open conflict right now. I got so lucky that the next coop takeover was for my final business.
Yeah. I've been lucky to get that. I think most people are just enjoying the game itself and still figuring things out, which is nice. I kind of got rubbed the wrong way with the toxic PvP players on Sea of Thieves, that I was looking forward to Skull and Bones. Most people, even the PvP types on here, are chill in comparison. I love playing the game because most of the community that does play it are nice.@@MainerdLoyd
From my experience no one actually participates in pvp I’ve probably done about 15 legendary treasure maps and I have acquired all manufactures in red isle and never had a PvP encounter, the only time I have was in double or nothing where someone joined fired at me once and then left. This is in over 70 hours of gameplay
Think it would be cool if there were a bit more incentive to use smaller ships to weave into narrow, shallow canals mid-battle to outmaneuver bigger ships that can’t move as well. Even if bigger ships hit harder, maybe they move, and even turn, much slower. Maybe messing with the reload speeds on different ships? Not sure.
Don't worry mate, even though i was kingpin on the first day of early access there was still massive competition for every hostile takeover I was in. After I failed a few Takeovers I would do the PvE hunt (I forget the name sorry) and it was pretty worth doing on its own.
@@kalinora3901 you can use a couple of the Mast furniture on your brig to help reduce the stamina strain too. One of the few furniture I've found you can stack
I saw how easy it was to take manufactories cause no one else was doing them, so I grinded them all out as fast as possible. Now my problem is funding the empire 😂
Some weapons have a ship requirement on them, I come across one earlier that said “Requires medium or larger” so hopefully it’s a good indicator to bigger and better ships, plus with the passive effect they give they’ve opened the door to all sorts of potential with them 🤞

The map will expand hence the open barriers they just haven’t added in the content yet. There’s even a pirate lord from India so I expect we’ll get some of the South China Sea and upper peninsula. So far it’s just Indonesia and the Ivory Coast

Dont think many people play this game...at all. Every vid on it less then 2.5 k views.. one or two have about 5 k... i played demo hard 14to16 hrs a day,comes OUT ,got bored first day.80 dollar pile of boredom

Def gonna be large ships cos some of cannons etc say only useable on Medium, and large ships

I think they have left plenty of map space to add on. With the way the boarders work, instead of it being just a square, it's a bit weird.

Bigger servers would be nice, more players, more chance of help with events etc
I wish it was forced first person unless trimming like ac4 black flag, its fantastic.
I was thinking about this... I suspect it was originally but was probably tweeked during testing. Guarantee no one will use first person in pvp.

I did find out that the large privateer ship is a frigate or a corvette and I hope we can get the frigate later in the game from one of the seasons.
I would imagine so, the corvette seems to be the bigger version of the brigantine and the frigate is the bigger version of the snow
The brig is unrivaled at the moment, you definitely want to prioritize getting that.
Unrivaled in speed, but the snow tanks pretty well. I heard the Sambuk is op if built right, but I need to increase my helm currency to get that.

I failed my first PvE one because I decided to fight instead of run. I now use the brig and stuff my crew with cooked bananas to keep my stamina up.

Alot of people already own them too, if they do, they can't join the legendary heists or pvp events for properties they own.

I would do other missions for the helm that have me attack rogue pirates and farm them for silver chests. You'll get plenty of silver that way.
