- Sometimes you want to make an extra special card - and it is worth the extra time to do it. This Stained Glass card was so much fun to make and I will share lots of tips and tricks:
1. Learn to make a stone wall (Embossing and Distress Stains)
2. Floral Spray (Dies, Stains and Punches)
3. Copic Coloring
4. Learn to use Frosted Film (amazing product)
5. Learn to make a "see through" window card
and so much more...lots of fun!

You are right! A bullfinch would be PERFECT! I love the red on their chests...would be beautiful too! Just went and downloaded a picture to use as reference for another card! Thank you for reminding me about this one! One of my favorite things about the TH-cam community is that we all get inspiration from one another! Can't wait to add a little Bullfinch to a card! Have a great day!
This is not just a card, this is a Master Piece!! Wow!!! So beautiful!!!
Thanks Trish...it is a joy to get to share projects with you all! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much! You will LOVE the frosted film...It works great on so many projects! I totally fell in love with the Chickadee - I think every project I make needs one now!
Thank you Lena...I enjoy the process and like discovering what can result from trying different things with my supplies. This was a particularly fun one to work on. Thank you for stopping by and for your encouragement! Blessings for the new year! Jann
That is one master piece of work. If I put that much into a card, I would hold onto it like gold. I can sure tell you love what you do when you put that much into one card. I probably will never go to that extent on a card but I sure did learn from this video. Thank you very much.
Oh wow....thank you! My goal in sharing projects I am working on is to help everyone see that they can do it too...just break it down into manageable steps...and then make it work for them with their own creativity and inspiration. I so appreciate your encouragement...it means a lot to me! Have a very Merry Christmas!
I am so amazed by the efford you put in your cards. But that`s why they all turn out so great i belive. You are an amazing papercrafter!
A stunning card that expresses the true meaning of the season. Bravo! And thanks for teaching us a way to use frosted film. TFS, Heather
Hey Lynn...I just fell in love with these dies when I saw them...I love architectural pieces...and there are actually several different patterns for the inner window that fits with the same window frame. It was really HARD to choose just one - but I do really like the one I got and I know I will use it a lot! Thank you so much for your encouragement...it means a lot to me. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Wow!! Don't think i've ever seen a more elaborate or beautiful card!! Beautiful!
I certainly don't do this very often...but it was a project that I wanted to see what would happen if I just said "Try it and see what happens!" Learned a lot - have used several techniques I discovered here - on other cards...but just allowing myself the freedom to explore where the process took me was probably the most fun...well - the MOST fun was giving it to my sister (who is my best-est friend) and knowing she treasured it! Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks...it was one of those cards that I just let myself do everything I wanted to - so it was very fun! Have a Merry Christmas!
You out did yourself again, Jann!! Incredible card!!!!!! After that one, you are offically a master card maker now!!!!! Thank you, Shonda
ABSOLUTELY Stunning! And your explanation is so clear and easy to understand! Thank you, Julie
Thanks - it was one of those that I just let myself feel free to do whatever I wanted to try....very fun! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Beautiful, Beautiful! Alot of love with techniques went into this gorgeous card. TFS
Marilyn, thank you! You will have so much fun with this die - there are lots of possibilities! Please come back and visit again! Merry Christmas!
Thank you Mary! Hope you are having a great Christmas season - and that you are getting to spend some time creating your own crafty goodness!
Thanks Nancy! I feel so blessed to get to share and be inspired by you as well! Merry Christmas! Can't wait to see what the New Year holds for us both! {{hugs}}
Thank you! It is fun to just "let loose" and do all the things you want to on a project - especially when it is a gift for a friend! Merry Christmas!
Thank you Donna! Hope you and your family have a wonderfully blessed Christmas!
Thank you! I sent it to my sister - she loves stained glass and I thought she would appreciate it! She did! Don't you just love when you share something with someone and they LOVE it!?!?! Such a fun secondary benefit of taking the time to create something special! Thanks fun for stopping by and hope you had fun catching up on some of the vids! Have a great weekend!
That is a truely wonderful card. Just love all the detailing esp. The flowersoft. I love using it too.
What a beautiful card! I'm sure the recipient was thrilled to receive it, I know I would have been. I'm having an afternoon catching up on all your videos! TFS xx
Thank you! I have a group of ladies that I am blessed to get to teach at their Scrappy Retreats a couple times a year...and they always say - "if you are taking one of Jann's classes, you just need to be prepared to get dirty!" It cracks me up - but I love it - and know it is a bit true! Merry Christmas to you as well! Hugs!
Thank you Debbie - it was a super fun project to work on! Have a great week and a very Merry Christmas!
Wow, most beautiful card I've ever see! And so many wonderful techniques; I'll be watching this video a few times. Your videos are amazing and I look forward to watching them. Merry Christmas.
Thanks Julie! I always love to hear that my explanations make sense - I try and break a technique down into the critical bits of information. As a child, my Mom says my favorite word was "WHY?" I think I sometimes imagine my viewers watching a tutorial and saying to themselves "Why did she do that?" So I just try and answer as many "Why questions as I can!" Hope it isn't too much!
Hey Carmen - you are so sweet! I hope you have a wonderful New Year and that it will be filled with creative inspirations! Girl, I'm not ever sure what is going to pop out of my mouth! I need to come up with a more lady-like term for that icky adhesive edges you get with the sticker makers! LOL My mother would NOT be happy! Blessings, Jann
I am absolutely in love with your card! I have been thinking about getting some of that frosted film & you put me over the edge. I also think I may need to get that chickadee stamp & die. Thanks for showing us the entire process of it coming together. JIL
Hey Victoria - I typically make a box (with chipboard) and either paint it or cover it with paper. Having the sides made of chipboard makes it pretty sturdy...if I have a really dimensional element (like the garland over the window) I will cut several layers of fun foam in a circle or oval (according to the shape I am trying to protect) and place that around it so if the box does get squished a bit, there is less chance that it will ruin my card. Hope that this helps!
Thanks Heather! Hope you have some fun of your own with the Frosted Film...it is so easy to work with and has so many possibilities.
Thank you Marina! Appreciate your encouragement! Merry Christmas to you as well!
Love how you inspire to think outside the box with our crafting!
Thanks. ..this was a fun one to just "let loose" and have fun with...appreciate you stopping by
Thank you DeeDee...have a great week and a very Merry Christmas!
Oh Shonda you are so sweet....thank you! It was fun to just create and see where it took me!
This card is stunning,so beautiful,I just love all of the detail you put in.Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! So much fun to just follow every creative idea that occurred to me! Not what I do everytime, but great to feel the freedom every once in a while! Thanks for watching!
Jest piękna. I taka realistyczna w szczegółach.Wymagała sporo cierpliwości. Chcąc zrobić ich dużo trzeba by zacząć już teraz na przyszłoroczne święta ;)
Hey Lorraine...All the greenery was done with Impression Obsession "Pine Bough" and "Twig Wreath" and also the Martha Stewart "Branch" punch. I do think that there are several Canadian companies that carry Impression Obsession stamps and dies. They are very reasonably priced and are so versatile! Thanks for stopping by - and have a great week!
I can only try! *smile* Thanks - this was a very fun project to work on!
Give me a minute while I get my jaw up off the floor. I am totally dumbstruck! The only thing I can say about your card is it is "Pure". I don't even know what I'm saying...you've done gone and blown my mind.
Love you - Leslie
Wow Jann, The amount of beautiful dimension and detail in this card is just stunning.
Love the nail art as well, Have a very Merry Christmas. look forward to more videos in the New Year...
This was a fun card to work on...I just gave myself permission to do everything I wanted to - and that is always the most fun. I also learned a lot about working with watercolor paper and Distress Stains....so am sure some of that will show up on some other projects soon! Love you girl...thank you for taking time to watch these videos and encourage me with your kind comments! They mean the world to me! Love you! Jann
Thank you my sweet friend! It may be one of my favorites EVER. I think sometimes it is fun to just "let loose" and do EVERYTHING that you want to do - forget the time investment - and just enjoy. I did make EXTRAs of everything - so it wouldn't be so hard to make a couple more.
Oh my goodness Jann! You have really outdone yourself with this card. It is a true work of art. I want one!!!!! :D Merry Christmas! Thanks for all your hard work and sharing. It's wonderful!

Oh my goodness, when I saw the preview of the card you were going to demonstrate, I said to myself, She's done it again. Where do you get those creative Wheaties :) I also started laughing out loud when I heard you say glue buggers. That's what I call them, too. I thought I was the only one. During Christmas mass I was looking around for inspiration, but I couldn't have come up with something as beautiful as your card. Thanks for sharing. God Bless ;) Carmen

I have seen hundreds of cards, but I can honestly say, I have NEVER seen one as unique, and breathtakingly beautiful, as this! I was just in awe, watching the entire video. This card is without a doubt, the most beautiful card I have ever seen. You are beyond talented. I would say, you have a gift! Thanks for sharing that with us. Thumbs up and I'm subscribing. :-)
Oh thank you so much! It is a joy to get to share creatively with others! For me -- card making should run the whole continuum...from fast and fun all the way up to those that stretch our creative abilities. Every once in a while, I love to see just how far I can go with the tools and products I have...this is definitely one of those projects. Thank you for subscribing -- since you are new, you may want to check out my "Creative Play" series...it is where I share the process I use to try and figure out "what else" I can do with my products. Enjoy - and let me know if you have any questions!
